Bangla Cottage in Aberdeen City

Ordered tonight using their app which we’ve used on prior occasions. App said order had been placed & received email to confirm order. Waited over an hour for food which didn’t arrive, when phoned I was told they’re not using app anymore. Poor service, surely something should’ve been set up to notify customers this so we didn’t waste 1 hour waiting for non existing food.

Very recently won a voucher for this place and phone tonight to place an order of a set meal for 4. I tell the guy on the phone about the voucher only to be told by the manager that as they are under new management, he won’t honour the voucher. It was only won on Saturday with an expiry of today 30th Aug. After much arguing back and forth, the manager calls me ‘dishonest’ and he won’t honour voucher. What an absolute nerve of the bloke! He then gets his sidekick to call me back to say they will let me use it and they have extended the date. Hmm is that just because I put up a scathing review on their FB page? Not likely mate, I’m going to the press.

We come here a lot and have never had a bad meal. Price is great and they have specials on for weekdays and the Sunday buffet.

i don,t know what has happened it was excellent on our previous meals but the 2 meals we had were disappointing to say the least the only good thing was the popadums & sauce the onion bhajis tasted like yesterdays, the garlic bread same without garlic not even smell of garlic, chicken korma like cardboard no flavour chicken madras hot which i like but had no flavour both sauces were thin. we were really dissapointed it can only improve

Quality stuff, missing a point because the soda was a little bitty flat, excellent service. Waitress was chatty and fun!
