Backyard Burger Co. in Basildon

Used to be our go to place this. We ordered and due to a mix up with addresses on just eat. The food went to the wrong address (probably neither of us at fault) however the woman who we spoke to regarding this matter was just plain rude. Just got told “it’s not our fault. What do you want us to do about it” when we rang up to enquire why it was late. Shocking customer service tbh. Paid and never received goods at end of the day. Told our custom would’ve been received better ordering via their website. Which is laughable. Shame, as I cannot fault the food.

Easy 5 star, food portion sizes are big and so much flavour going on. Delivery was bang in the window. Owner even checks how your food and delivery was after!

Absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD burgers & sides! Gary and the team do a fantastic job of creating awesome food that has the attention to detail (and incredible portions!) that make this place stand out amongst the usual delivery/takeaway fare. Lil tip for anyone that is not sure how it works - you NEED to get in there early and pre-order when it becomes available to Mon/Tues in the week - for delivery on Saturdays. Do it, you definitely won't regret it!

I made my first ever order Saturday just gone after seeing them on Instagram and what can I say. What a beautiful Burger i had. The Notorious P.I.G. with all the works complemented with beef dripping & Truffle Fries with Yard Sauce and Mac N Cheese which were both amazeballs . I would highly recommend getting a piece of the action. If you want the real deal order, Backyard Burger, you won't be disappointed.

Backyard Burger was recommended by a colleague, and I would say it lived up to the hype . Thanks, Mate It's a delivery only service, so you have to pre-book online during the week. Booking opens up on Mondays. Would recommend you pre-book early as the slots get filled up really quickly. Once I checked out online, I got an email confirmation. Food arrived within the allocated time slot, nicely packed, super hot, and steamy. The guy drove one of the backyard burgers' cute cars. He was very nice, friendly, and polite. I ordered the filthy burger and chilly fries, and it was huge... (very generous portion sizes). Food was cooked to perfection, and I had a lovely dinner. Thanks, Backyard burger. Dine in and takeaway are both ticked, drove to find out these are not available. Ordered online finding a temporary address before the last step which tells you no delivery slots are available.

The best burger in Basildon!! The food is always so tasty and fresh even after being delivered. Your food will always be delivered on time as well which is an extra bonus. The food is honestly so good, we do not get burgers from anywhere else. The portion sizes are also HUGE, 10000% worth the money.

Delicious hot food delivered with a smile. Can’t recommend Backyard Burgers enough… you just have to try it! I love the burgers I am addicted, they are so flavoursome and the deep fried Oreo’s with caramel sauce are scrumptious!

Absolutely delicious meal for an evening around my mate’s house. This was the second time I’d had dinner from Backyard Burger on his recommendation and again there was so much tasty food. The mac n cheese burger was amazing, as were the TLC fries and the frickles that we shared. Highly recommended. Can’t wait for the next time!

I've never had a burger that tastes this good. The Notorious PIG, is immense. The fries are also the best I've ever had, especially the new chicken fries. The service is exceptional too. Oh and you have to have the frickles!

We ordered for the first time, feeling very lucky to get a slot and very excited to see what all the fuss is about. The hype is real!! Dont walk, RUN!! We were lucky to be some of the first to try the chicken tender loaded fries (we chose the buffalo flavour). These were top tier, flavourful and very generous. I ordered the nashvile cluck and cheese burger, which was HUGE. Size isn't everything with this one, as is tastes incredible too. Every element hit the spot, including the mac and cheese which I will definitely be trying on its own in the future. I was truly defeated by this and I'm gutted I didn't finish it. My partner had the every day I'm wafflin', which he demolished completely unlike my poor attempt. Lastly we had the brownies, perfectly gooey and chewy and sweet but not too sweet yumminess. We shared one serving between us, regret. The portion size was extremely good value for money but we're just greedy when it comes to chocolate and desserts! Overall I can not suggest ordering from here enough (just not too often so I can grab a slot please) The food is incredible value for money, the portion sizes are mind blowing and they definitely do not cut the quality for that! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as us <3

These burgers were absolutely unreal! I love a burger and this hands down is the best place I have come across, reasonably priced, delieverd on time and just all round amazing food! Also the buffalo chicken tenders with a blue cheese dip were amazing! Would definitly 10/10 reccomend. Can't wait to explore more of the menu. Thanks again guys.

Ordered from Backyard burger for the first time recently and was seriously impressed... I ordered the 'Mac Daddy' Really juicy burger, cooked perfectly and the Mac n cheese topping was absolutely superb. Even writing about it is making my mouth water! For sides - Sweet potato fries. These were packaged very well, arrived crispy and ready to eat at the perfect temperature. I believe you get a lot for your money at this place as you could tell all the ingredients were really fresh and had been cooked by food enthusiasts. Can't wait to pre-order again! Would highly recommend.

Amazing burgers. Presented exactly as they do in their social media pics. Taste just as good too. The chicken strippers were also banging. Fries dipped in their homemade nacho cheese sauce was delicious. Although they don't deliver to my area, they were happy to meet me halfway. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Thank you

First time trying the burgers after seeing good praises online, got to say that these are definitely some of the best burgers I have ever tasted, also super friendly on messaging and delivery, will definitely order more from now on.

There will never be a better burger. The PB&BJ burger with American mustard, BBQ sauce and mayo is amazing. The Frickles are genius and the chicken tenders are so good. Going to tell everyone. Highly recommend and well worth every penny.

What a burger! You really can't get a better burger than here, and you'll definitely be getting your moneys worth. Our order did arrive slightly late (No issues here, as I was partially expecting it to be late, as the order was massive) but the guys at Backyard Burger Co. kept us up to date. The driver was also really polite and apologetic regarding the lateness. All-in-all great food and great customer service. I couldn't have asked for a better service 👍👍

After wanting to order from Backyard Burger for some time now, we finally got our fix last night and it did not disappoint! The burgers were by far the best we have ever had before, so tasty! If you want the burger in the picture, that’s what you’re gonna get!! The portions are HUGE and the food arrived lovely and hot and in the best packaging which is all ‘recyclable’ (love that!) Thank you for a great takeaway experience BB! We’ll be back for seconds soon!

We ordered this after seeing all the reviews. First of all, note this is a delivery only place, the address is just a registered building for the company, don't try to visit town expecting to see a restaurant. Gary the owner hand delivered our food turning up in a branded car, called me a few times to check the order and turned up promptly. It was one of the best burgers we've ever had, the mac n cheese was insane, and deep fried oreos perfect dessert. Will definitely be telling others to try this for themselves, think five guys, but not as expensive, larger portions and more tasty

We ordered from Backyard Burger after seeing the non stop 5 star reviews and the unreal photographs. To see if this was just good PR, we decided to order 4 burgers (2x Gentleman, 1 Mutha Clucka and 1 Junior), 3 lots of fries and a side of Buffalo chicken strips. Now they may be good at PR but the food was better. The burgers were the best we’ve ever had and the portion sizes of the chips are very generous. All delivered to our door and received piping hot. The hype is real, we’ve found our new go to takeaway. Thanks Backyard Burger Co for a great first experience… it won’t be our last.

Really tasty and unique burgers! Placed 2 orders so far and will be placing another this weekend. Had the Mac daddy the first time and then the nacho cheese burger the second time, both were delish! My husband had the yard burger the first order and then the special burger for Halloween the second time and he demolished both! We tried the frickles which are yummy too (if you like pickles) and the cheeseburger fries which are amazing! The guy who runs it is really helpful too and keeps you updated with when your order will be ready. Can’t wait to try some more of the menu at the weekend, my mouths watering already thinking about it!

We are slowly working our way through the menu and enjoying it every time. Delivery is spot on and the packaging is classy - it all adds to the backyard experience. Plan ahead and book your delivery slot for the next available weekend - it’s not possible to be disappointed, unless you dislike big portions of yummy food! (No photo as I was too eager to eat - but I did make an “oooooh…” sound as I opened the packaging.)

Experienced our first Backyard burger tonight and WOW what a feast, I ordered the massively tasty Filthy Animal burger and a selection of fries. It was a beast and possibly the best burger I’ve eaten, the presentation and packaging was spot on, this is nothing like I’ve ever had before as a takeaway/delivery.

I have tried countless highly reviewed restaurants in the UK and abroad... I am very well travelled, but these are some of the best bugers ive had anywhere in the world! They are extremely helpful and flexible and the food is always hot and looks perfect! A must try is the PB&BJ burger... I was a bit cautious about trying peanut butter in a burger but I loved it after a single bite!

We've tried a lot of burgers even travelled to find the best creations and have not found burgers this good anywhere. Everything down to the ingredient quality, amazing presentation, generous portions and 5 star service was spot on. It also showed up hot which doesn't usually happen when getting a burger delivery. Fantastic experience from orderding through to delivery, the food was yummy had the greedy pig and skin on fries, which was a massive portion enough for 2 people, food came within 5 mins on the delivery slot, was piping hot, and Gary the delivery driver was very friendly, highly recommend.

Ordered from Backyard Burger on Friday for delivery on Saturday to a friends in Basildon as they only deliver in the Basildon area. The process was easy and within moments our order was accepted. On the Saturday they were running late with our order and threw in a free bottle of Hot Honey as a sorry. They also forgot my soda and offered a refund or to deliver to us to our home in Stanford which is really lovely of them. The food was amazing. I ordered the Everday We're Waffling which is buttermilk chicken with bacon sandwiched between waffles and it was amazing. Hubby ordered the piggy burger which he said was amazing. We also ordered chicken wings which were very yummy too. Our only issue were the rosemary fries were tough . Highly recommend this place as the food is so good and the customer service is amazing.

I’m really not a big burger fan usually but my husband convinced me to give backyard burgers a try… and I LOVED IT!! I had the mutha clucka a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much, I actually suggested ordering it again myself this week (much to his delight!!) Cowboy candy is SO GOOD in a burger!! Order from here you won’t regret it.

Can not stress enough how incredible these burgers are!!! The quality in the burger, the bun, the crispy onions and the pulled pork I had was arguably the best burger I've had in years. Portions size is brilliant to as the chips covered an entire plate. Will 100% be coming back again soon.

The food is just to die for! Having eaten lots of burgers up in London, this place is really up there. Very generous portions and the meat quality is excellent, not dry and flavoursome. Smooth ordering process and quick delivery by a very friendly guy. Will definitely be ordering again, especially after seeing the brownies on the menu.

First of all incredible customer service. These guys went above and beyond to help us out so a massive thank you. Then the food. Out of this world.
