Lovely little family run Italian restaurant. Great food. Friendly service. Good value for money. Bring a bottle of wine 🍷 and enjoy a lovely evening.

This is a favourite of our daughter and her husband. good value (although the starters are a a bit pricey) home cooked italian food, Very friendly service. BYOB with low cost corkage. Pizzas really good as are pastas. Nice of the owner to give us a free limoncello! We'll be back.

My husband and I are regular visitors, excellent food every time. A good selection of food on the menu. A nice evening out, Arbroath’s little gem.

My partner and I were at this restaurant on Saturday 5th August and the meal was fantastic. As the restaurant was small it had a homely feeling to it and there was only 2 members of staff, 1 waitress and the owner. The owner spoke to us long enough not to intrude on our evening and informed us that they make their bread on the premises. The food was absolutely amazing. As they do not have a liquor licence at the moment you can bring your own which most people that were dining that night there were doing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've briefly been in Rome and enjoyed an excellent 'Spaghetti Gambas', little did I think such a fine example of Italian cuisine be defeated by a restaurant in Arbroath. At Azzuro myself, my Mother an Uncle 'Big' Davey had an Italian feast that perhaps trumped all others before it. The place is very old school, reminiscent of the restaurant Gene Hunt and gang hung-out in 80s set 'Ashes to Ashes' and I mean that as a compliment. No alcohol license, but a BYOB where corkage is applied with the corner shop ten yards away particularly handy for this. Food is tremendous and all made in house, my lobster ravioli was immense and the auld dear's Spaghetti Gambas (King Prawns) was vastly superior to its Roman equivalent. Uncle Davey's tagliatelle wi' meatballs looked excellent too. The chef's real talent lies in sauce, the creamy tomato one covering my ravioli was rich and tasty without overpowering the subtle flavour of the filling. Service is fantastic too, with owner Roberto being the most genial host and his waiter polite and courteous. My Uncle is somewhat of a regular since retiring to a caravan on the outskirts and Roberto treats him wonderfully, as I'm sure all returning costumers are. His complimentary limoncello is a lovely final touch to an amazing evening. Only open Friday & Saturday 4-10, booking required to avoid disappointment...

Lovely restaurant. Food was excellent, lots of choice with a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Service was excellent, food served at a good pace giving our group of 3 couples plenty of time to chat. Will definitely return next time we are in Arbroath.

I can’t recommend this Italian restaurant highly enough. We’ve been on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The standard of food is excellent and very authentic- although the place is a little tired and in need of a revamp it doesn’t detract from the food.. give it a try if you’re looking for a good honest Italian meal. There is a small corkage charge as they are not licensed.

Walking round Arbroath on a Sunday we found this small fronted Italian restaurant. What a find. It’s bigger when you get inside and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. It doesn’t have a licence but you can bring you own booze. We both ordered pizzas and salad and both were delicious. Really lovely base for the pizza and although we both had pepperoni on the pizza it was not very oily which has happened to me before on other less good pizza makers. The restaurant had a really nice atmosphere with a couple of families with youngish children with a couple of other tables with couples. Really good food, value for money and excellent service.

Love Italian food - make sure you eat here. Nothing was too much trouble. Take your own wine and ask for what you would like to eat.

We absolutely love this place. A delight to go and always clean plates all round. Food is perfectly cooked and presented and excellent value for money. The gentleman is attentive and very pleasant. 10/10

After living and working in Italy for many years, including traveling around the country for holidays, I can safely say that Azzurro Ristorante in Arbroath is an excellent quality, and very authentic Italian restaurant. We had tasty focaccia rosemary, and tomato and chilli prawns to share -both delicious! We then had pasta- le penne all’ arrabbiata which was exquisite, risotto with chicken and mushrooms, again expertly cooked, and king prawn tomato spaghetti- again, all absolutely delicious. The menu caters for all tastes, and is very reasonably priced, but above all, the food is of excellent quality. The pasta dishes took us back to wonderful holidays in Roma and Lazio region, and was reminiscent of the fabulous flavours of “la dolce vita in Italia!” You have to support this wonderful local restaurant, and I am sure you will love it as much as we do, and will become regular visitors for Roberto’s kind hospitality, his amazing family-focused food and hospitality, and a very reasonable bring your own alcohol option too. Book with Azzurro Ristorante Arbroath, and I guarantee you’ll not be disappointed!

Me and my wife love Azzurro, it was great to finally get back after lock down. I had the lobster ravioli and it was very nice, but I tried my wife's lasagne and it was fantastic, the sauce was very tasty, the meat was lovey and tender and you could really taste the real tomatoes.

Para nuestro aniversario, decidimos salir para una comida italiana como mi marido me propuso en un restaurante italiano. Es bastante fuertemente embarazada, optamos por Azzurro ya que estaba más cerca de casa.Nos sentamos en una mesa frente a la puerta que significaba una corriente. Pedimos unas bebidas que tardó años en llegar y nuestros entrantes tardaban mucho también. La minestrone estaba asquerosa y como no minestrone que he tenido. también ha probado. Mi marido tenía el paté que era comestible. Nuestros platos principales tardó años y también tuve tortellini en una cremosa salsa de tomate. El tortellini, que se suponía que era casero era claramente paquete comprado y la salsa sabía a que salió de una bañera. calidad del supermercado.Mi madre es italiana y crecí comer comida italiana casera. Este restaurante sirve comida sabe sospechosamente ready tienda hicieron comprado "" Fayre italiana y fue una decepción total. Como estaba conduciendo tuve un vaso de vino blanco y tinto de la casa. Luego vino el tiramisú y helado. Todo era tal y como debe ser y bien hasta los estándares de Manchester. Tuvimos un momento surrealista cuando estuvimos comparando helados italianos de hielo en Sorrento con el propietario italiana su mujer rumana y el Frenchman propietaria Chippy local! en general, una velada con excelente comida y vino. The food is just terrible. We were in a party of about 12 and half of us has finished our meal before the other half were even served. The standard of restaurants in Arbroath is generally poor and this seems to show in the lack of effort that was put into the standard of food we were served at this restaurant. They don't seem to try because they have no real competition. If you want to eat out, don't do it in Arbroath

Mi marido tenía un plato de pollo con haggis y salsa de crema (en principio reservamos habitación en con Drambuie - él es alérgica al alcohol así que no hubieron problemas dejando) tuve los linguini con jamón Parma, un montón de langostinos, champiñones y salsa de crema . La comida era tan bueno. Los precios también están bien. alrededor de £8 - £ 12 por platos principales con filetes un poco más caro.
