Afternoon Tea at Grosvenor House in City of London, Westminster

Beautiful structure! excellent for families. Suites with attention to every detail, equipped with all comforts. Wonderful location overlooking Hyde Park and convenient for reaching the main points of interest. Impeccable staff in every way, always available for every need.

They have amazing cheese cake and the tea was good as well BUT the fact that I have to pay £40 for the chair and its not including my order is bet weird ! So if you are planning to set with your friends and you are 4 you will pay 160£ + your order + service charge 👎

Excellent venue, cannot give 5 stars as its location has confusion with the Mariott hotel park lane.

Grosvenor House Suites is one of London's premier 5-Star hotels. I stay there whenever I'm in London. The staff is top shelf by any standard, and it's a beautiful property. I Love It!

Spacious rooms, really clean, great location , The room service food wasn’t that good they could do better, noise coming from Marriott at night, I believe it’s a club, couldn’t sleep at all on Saturday, over all I give it a 6/10..

The room at smelled of smoke at the time of check in even though it was a non smoking room They didn’t have any other rooms to give and made us wait so that the housekeeping can refresh the room The usual check in time is 3 but we checked in at 6:30, still faced this and had no room until much later

This Apart-Hotel has an excellent location. Overall facilities are also nice but the service is quite slow. 7 minutes I waited at breakfast but no one came to seat me even after seeing that I am waiting.. then I sat myself but for 12 minutes no one was available to attend to me. There is just very less number of waiters to take care of the number of guests. Given the price of 1,100 GBP per night, this is absolutely unacceptable. Certain recommendations for guests: 1. You can request them to remove the super-high discretionary service charge on accommodation, as none of the hotels charge this. 2. There are "Tray Charges" for getting Served in the room. This is GBP 5 for each time you order in. These are unavoidable. 3. There is no buffet breakfast but the a-la-cart is good enough. Do try the smashed avocado. Overall I recommend this hotel for those wanting an attached kitchen & washing-machine. The concierge service is exceptionally good. Some major issues: 1. The Gym is quite small and there is no swimming pool. 2. The rooms don't have electrical sockets places conveniently. It can get very challenging. 3. Breakfast tables are not kept ready and be prepared to wait for at least 20 minutes to even receive the menu before u can place the order.

Went here for afternoon tea and it was truly amazing. The setting is perfect, we were seated on a lovely green sofa which was very comfortable. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and were friendly and helpful. We had the Flower Fairies afternoon tea which was an experience day voucher from our son. The food was excellent and so much of it! We were even given a small box of cakes to take away with us at the end - this was in addition to everything else we had already eaten. Thank you so much to the staff for making this one of the best afternoon teas I have ever had.

Absolutely the best stay in London. These suites are huge, more of an apartment and a large one for a big city in Europe. Very modern, clean and comfortable. The service is also amazing. The concierge could not have been better. So willing to help in every way to make our stay amazing. I think his name was Moshir (I am probably getting that wrong, my apologies). The breakfast in their little cafe is also lovely. The only slight issue was that the suites have full kitchens and an Indian family checked in down the hall and started cooking. I LOVE Indian food but the smell was starting to permeate our suite too and we didn't want all of our clothes to pick up the odor so we were glad to leave before that happened. Not much the hotel can do other than install high powered exhaust in the kitchen and make sure the guests know how to use it.

It was pleasure to be staying in Grosvenor House Suites

We had an excellent time as a family of 5 at the Park room. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and very welcoming to our children - particularly Irina and Leo. We loved the food and the teas, and the children loved the stuffed dogs they received at the end of tea. Very cute idea. Would definitely recommend.

I wish I could move into this hotel tomorrow. The location is perfect - within easy walking distance of London's most alluring restaurants and shopping, and next to Hyde Park which is stunningly beautiful. The rooms are very large - actually to call them "rooms" is an undersell, they're actually more like apartments. Perfect for (like us) a family group. Kitchen, dining area, large living room, everything you need to feel like you are really living in London rather than just visiting. The staff is amazing too - incredibly friendly and helpful. I think we've stayed 4 times and there's a good reason - it's absolutely perfect. Try it!!!

Dark and monotonous environments, classic and dated furnishings. Cleaning is not very thorough and ordinary maintenance in the room is not carried out. No socket for the hairdryer in the bathroom, it is very inconvenient to dry your hair in other environments outside the bathroom. High prices for the type of accommodation. Staff all very friendly and welcoming

We had a voucher for afternoon tea for two to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. The whole experience was wonderful due to the quality of the food we were offered and the attentiveness of the staff. We would like to name especially Herlyn and Alex who gave us such a special experience and the person who made the sandwiches and amazing cakes (all with a story!). Thank you so much.

Excellent! The service was impeccable with all staff very friendly (shout out to Nittin!) and welcoming for a short family stay in London. The suite itself had good views down Park Lane and across to Hyde Park and was in easy walking distance of the park for a stroll or run, Harrod's, Oxford Street, Green Park, Mayfair etc. so a great place to base yourself in. The room was super quiet despite its location and had all you needed including adequate dining space , sitting areas,an en suite bath in each bedroom etc. Beds were very comfortable. The central atrium was good for a superb breakfast with attentive service throughout.

We have had afternoon tea at many of the London hotels. Yesterday we had afternoon tea in The Park Room. The afternoon tea was delightful, truly a fantastic assortment of cakes and sandwiches. The waiting staff were fantastic, they made us feel very welcomed and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. The hotel is very beautiful and the decor and ambience of The Park room was lovely Thanks to all the staff who made it such a memorable time for us.

Nice location for events in the heart of London

Wow, just splendid! Service was outstanding and my daughter (4 years old) was thoroughly tended too throughout, of which I’m truly grateful. Afternoon tea was beautiful and so tasty. We could take what we didn’t eat as there is so much. My daughter thought her chocolate mousse dog was too rich but she loved the sandwiches, the brownie and the ice cream. Pianist even played Disney songs which my little one loved and very apt after a visit to Disney on Ice just an hour before. Even the concierges were lovely and attentive. Would highly recommend. What a lovely Mother’s Day treat!

One of the best afternoon teas in a pleasant environment, and will certainly book again. Two enjoyable savouries followed by a great selection of sandwiches, and it also came with scones and cakes. More sandwiches were offered which was appreciated. Service was good. Only two things let it down; the champagne could have been colder when first served, and the person with the very long black hair hanging down, and constantly being flicked, should not have been anywhere near the service. Other service staff were very smartly turned out.

We Really enjoyed the Afternoon Tea at the Park Room. Visited last week with the family and had a lovely time .. ambience, food and service all amazing! Would like to say Clarissa Woollins was exceptional and made our experience so pleasant!

Excellent location and the most friendly staff. From the front desk to restaurant staff, everyone was absolutely flawless. The three star rating related to the room. Very hard to find plugs that work, and none anywhere near the bed where you can plug phone, for sample, to charge overnight. They said that water and items in fridge would be replenished with every service, they never did that not even once during the 3-day stay. Phone they placed above the bed has a large ultra bright LCD screen, which you realize to be annoying as you try to sleep. Otherwise kudos to the wonderful staff.

The best afternoon tea, choice of teas, sandwiches, pastries, the piano player was very talented. Waitress excellent offering more of everything and a box of treats to come home with. Do try this afternoon tea you will not be disappointed. You could not fault the service. And the champagne was good too.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, with a privileged location in front of Hyde Park. Nearby there are many restaurants, tourist spots and shops, which is convenient for the visitor.

We had a family group for one of the last days of The Snowman afternoon tea. The theme was wonderful and the menus, music, and cakes followed the theme beautifully. We had impeccable, and I mean impeccable, service from Irena (excuse me if the spelling is not correct)! She took care of every need instantly, saw what we might want before we had asked and had perfect control over the service. My only point of feedback to the chef is why would you choose to use the cheapest processed ham and turkey in your finger sandwiches? It’s glaringly obvious and is either a lazy choice (inexcusable) or a margin improvement play (understandable but not appropriate when you are able to fill the room). Either way not smart. Bake some gammon and roast some turkey crowns. The beef was ok - I am not sure if it was bought in but it didn’t come across as cheap unlike the game and turkey. The ham and turkey I wouldn’t serve in an otherwise 5 star tea - really let the show down. Grosvenor House is a price point below The Lanesborough, Claridges and The Savoy. It didn’t show anywhere except in the meat mentioned above. Otherwise the attention to detail and the artistry was excellent.

My teen daughters and I absolutely loved the afternoon tea at Grosvenor House! The live piano music, beautiful decor, and scrumptious food were only part of the experience…the impeccable and friendly service by Federico and the entire staff made the afternoon even more delightful. We would highly recommend the event!!!

We had the pleasure to have afternoon tea here. It was just amazing! The waiter had good knowlwdge of the tea and told us the story about the special cakes. The cakes were an artwork! The atmosphare in the tearoom was good. We love to come back!

An amazing afternoon tea at the Grosvenor House Park Room. It was a brief stop in London to end our holiday, and my bf has never been. I wanted to make sure we had afternoon tea. The place I originally had in mind was not available, so I figured we would try somewhere new to both of us. The Park Room was an amazing surprise. The atmosphere was nice and calming. The food was beautiful and delicious (and plentiful). The teas we chose were so so good that my bf was trying to source it. And best of all the staff were super friendly and attentive. Pratigya was not the one who took our order but she was super attentive and would always check in to make sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place for afternoon tea. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in London. It’s my new favorite place to have afternoon tea.

We had been given a voucher sometime ago and decided to use it for a Champaign afternoon tea when we were in London. The Grosvenor didn’t disappoint. All the staff were friendly and welcoming from the doorman to all those in the Park Room where Afternoon Tea was served. The person serving us explained all the various foods we would be served and checking for alergies. Being Christmas the Park Room was beautifully decorated and afternoon tea included a number of Christmas themed cakes based on the Snowman by Raymond Briggs. The food was lovely and there was more food than we could eat so they packaged things up nicely in boxes for us to take away. A special experience. Thanks to all the staff.

Fantastic hotel, all the rooms are suites. The staff and service in particular was top notch. They went out of their way to be helpful. They accommodated our early check in and late check out. Concierge were fantastic, especially Mostapha and Robert. Very private and luxurious hotel. Booking direct might be best.

ロンドンには何度も滞在していますが、最近ではこちらのホテルがロンドンでは比較的気に入ってます。 場所 ロンドンでも品があり富裕層が集まるメイフェア地区に佇んでいます。観光のアクセスには便利です。目の前には公園が広がっています。部屋によっては都会の真ん中で美しい緑の気色を眺めることができます。 部屋 すべてスイートだそうです。私が泊まる部屋は50平米は余裕であり、ベッドルームとリビングが分かれています。バスタブは大きく、レインシャワーも気持ち良いです。キッチンも付いていますし、洗濯乾燥機まであります。 中庭に面した部屋(各階の約半分)では、外の天気が分かりづらく、晴れているのか雨なのか、朝なのか夜なのかすら感じることができません。寝るだけなら良いのですが、部屋にゆっくり滞在する場合は、必ず外側の部屋を予約しましょう。 残念なのが電源周りと水回り。洗面台にドライヤーのソケットがなかったり、トイレの水が流れなかったり。電気がうまく通じなかったり...。そして部屋が暗い。イギリスは他のホテルでも同様の問題が散見されるので、仕方がないということなのでしょうか。特に女性は化粧とか身嗜みのチェックが洗面室でできませんのでご注意を。 一番の問題は、壁からノイズが出つつけていて眠れまないこと。冷蔵庫が発するノイズみたいな音が24時間出ています。ノイズはベッド脇の壁から発せられており、寝ることができないという問題があります。 レストラン 宿泊者しか使うことのできないレストラン。中庭にあり、まるでオープンテラスのようです。ただガラスの天井がかなりの高さゆえ、光は入りますが天気などは分かりづらいです。スタッフは親切ですが、価格は親切ではありません。 インルーム・ダイニング かなりわがままに対応してくれます。そして美味しい。スタッフは気が利いていてユーモアに溢れています。日本にもこういう心の通うダイニングがあれば、と思います。 スタッフ 多くのスタッフが素晴らしい。一部のスタッフは残念。個性がある感じ。気の利いた話し方やユーモアに富んだ会話が毎回楽しいです。 総じて ここのスタッフに会いにロンドンに行くような素晴らしいホテルです。部屋は広くて快適、いつも静か。まるで自分の家に帰るような感覚に陥る名ホテルと言えます。 ただ電源・水回りの改善が急務です。

The formal check in at the hotel is 3pm, and they told us to wait until 5 pm because there is some one asking for late check out. I don’t know how that is good reason to wait for our room.

Our afternoon tea was excellent as expected based on our other meals in the park Room. The service was prompt, informative, and most importantly friendly. The sandwiches, scones, and desserts were delicious.

Had a great experience and exceptional service when we visited to have afternoon tea in the Park room. All the staff were friendly, polite and their customer service was second to none especially Altay who made my wife feel very special on her birthday.

Perfect place to stay in London

I rate this as one of the very best high teas I have had, the service was exceptional, the very charming Adam took care of all our High Tea needs and there was a vast and varied selection. The teas where wonderful, the champagne divine. To top it all off, which I've never experienced with any other High Tea is that before you leave you may make a further selection of desserts and cakes which they box up for you and give you to take back to your hotel. I had a superb time, relaxing and very comfortable. Adam was an absolute delight and we all had a great afternoon, I would gladly say this was the highlight to my London visit. I look forward till the day I can return and redo this High Tea one of the very few I would really want to. Thank you Grosvenor House, Marriott Hotels for owning such a fantastic property and to Adam for your fine attention that made mine and my guests afternoon such a memorable one.

I have stayed at this hotel times before and all has went well besides its age, hot water issues and odors from heavy smokers that stay in many of the rooms - This time unfortunately they let me down -I booked a room for a few days in october and was told the cancellation policy was the prior business day when booked regardless I happened to get covid and could not make the trip I reached out to the hotel the day prior and they have refused to credit my stay which is rediculous. Its bad business and they have now lost my busines and all of my art colleagues whom have stayed there over the years

Hidden Gem. Best serviced apartments we have ever stayed in. Right next to Grosvenor house hotel. Spacious, luxurious, great bathrooms, lovely views. Ask for Park view or a room with a terrace.

We just returned from a week staying at the Grosvenor House Suites in London and it was a truly first class experience. Our room was large (a suite) and beautiful and overlooked Hyde Park. The room had great amenities including a large refrigerator and washer/dryer unit. The hotel was very quiet - we never heard noise either inside or coming in from the outside. The neighborhood is fantastic - you're surrounded by amazing architecture as well as top drawer restaurants and bars. What we most enjoyed was the wonderful service. Stephanie at the front desk welcomed us warmly and was very helpful getting us oriented to the room and neighborhood. Lukas at the concierge desk helped us ship a box home. And Lena in the dining room served us a delightful lunch the day we arrived. We can't wait to return to this wonderful place.
