ABERDAM Dutch Fries - Aberdeen in Aberdeen City

Really overpriced compared with the quality of food. There are more spices than actual fries , just couldn't eat it. You might consider putting spicy levelness on the menu

came here yesterday for a bite, been having my eye on this place for a while as they looked delicious and for my couple days here I thought let me try The girl serving was lovely it was a bit slow yesterday but understood it was just her alone until the other worker came back. I’m very patient and very considerate when I see staff working alone because I understand it can be stressful when it’s just one person. I’m going to be very honest, I really thought that this shop served the fries in a cone I saw photos but I assume it’s maybe for the beach truck maybe? Anyways, I’m not sure if these fries were really Dutch, these fries reminded me a lot of the frozen mc Ian skin on fries, I mean I could be wrong. I found the 2 bits of fries I bought to be quite overpriced. However I must say the portion sizes were excellent.

I loved the fries! The chicken Tikka fries were quite tasty. Staff was helpful and atmosphere was great as well.

Fries with BBQ chicken are delicious. Ordering via the order terminals is not very personal but works. Location next to the pubs is good. Only limited opportunities to eat in or at the restaurant.

Burger was absolutely unreal one of the best I’ve have and I do love a burger. Fried were tasty however cold. Chicken tenders were average typical freezer food, sauces lovely however very pricy for such a small sauce portion. Would definitely have a burger again.

Inaccurate information about the delivery times that are actually applicable

You would think that at a Dutch chip shop you would come across something like croquettes, frikandellen or war fries or the like. But what a gigantic scam... the only Dutch thing in that case was the expensive price. It took a long time, there were some Dutch things hanging and bitterballen were sold, but no hair salon but fries with haggis. I thought 'Nice, Netherlands', but I was very disappointed. The fries were fine but not for £6.30

Tracked the driver waiting for food, noticed he went past my house into another area for about 10 minutes then delivered my food which is now cold

Food was lovely, but very funny process of picking up the food.. no one spoke to us when we entered the shop and we just stood for 10 mins. Then an order went on the side and a just eat driver went up and looked at the collection number wasn’t his so I did the same and this was my order. Then I took the order the lady looked at me and didn’t say anything and stated that this was my order and got no reply. This was really poor customer service! The food was amazing!!

It’s not a problem about the time, I was informed on the app about the change. It also not the delivery guys fault as he was nice and polite at the door. But just the initial time on the app stated 7pm and it arrived 19.46. Maybe an issue with the app. All round great service. Thank you

Just had two burgers with fries delivered to my house in garthdee through delivered it was delivered quickly but the burgers and fries were stone cold and had to be blasted in microwave for around 45 secs the burgers were nice just wished they were not cold by time we got them

I can’t put into words how fulfilling and value for money it is.

£14 per portion for frozen food. The photos on deliveroo show what they used to have and it was brilliant...now you get a thin frozen chicken. I can't even tastes the chicken is that thin. this is the second time I ordered and came like this (regular customer before) Don't recommend and won't order again. Wish they kept the same quality as before as this is a joke.

Our order never came with everything it was supposed to and my order was too spicy as the correct sauce wasnt displayed on the just eats app

Ordered a big dam but it was covered in salt and pepper seasoning so it was disgusting, when you’re spending £50 on a meal this shouldn’t happen!

Got the garlic butter chicken fried ordered to Ivy Lodge and they were delicious! Arrived super fast and brought straight to our table, would definitely recommend :)

Miserable staff and the fries are overrated and overly salted. Usually I’m all for supporting local businesses, but this place is style over substance. Way better options locally be it on school hill or down the beach. And they were offering a discount for reviews so take the high rating with a (large) pinch of salt. In response to your reply that I cannot reply to. Yes I have recently given another local Business a glowing review as they deserve it. Your service in store has been rude and dismissive we tried to order over the counter, when no one else was in the store and were told “use the screen” without the girl even looking up. Maybe consider not everyone is capable of using a touch screen and wants/ needs to order from a person.

Ordered a few times from Aberdam now, and it's been great each time. The Braveheart fries are our go to. 🤤

The tikka chips were not edible covered in sauce and soggy. There was no sauce on the Carlos butter chicken loaded fries and the chicken was so dry it was hard to bite. We absolutely love Aberdam but this is the worst we’ve had to date unfortunately.

Hands down probably one of the best burgers in Aberdeen, portion sizes are more then enough…

Ordered loaded fries - chicken tika (tasted like a jar of tikka sauce - no real flavour) - braveheart fries (bland and there was no gravy) The sides we got - chicken strips (no flavour) and the jalapeño poppers ( they were okay) We spend just under £40 and we are really gutted. From the decor we thought we would be in for some great food but honestly we are gutted with the quality and taste. We also had issues with getting a menu and the menu we were handed was very dirty. Again not a great experience and it was not that busy.

We are regular visitors to Aberdam, often to eat in at Ivy Lodge but also to take away, have never had a bad meal. Would highly recommend the garlic chicken fries, delicious

I have been to Aberdam a few times now, each have been great, whether that’s delivery or from their Scran Van. Good portion sizes and tasty food.

The food here is absolutely amazing! We ordered the Buffalo Blue dirty fries, the Hot Dam and the Big Dam and all of it was delicious. We ordered online to pick up and everything was ready on time, well packaged and hot. We will definitely be back again!

Chicken was soooo thin it was too chewy and dry nothing like the picture. The last time I had the chicken it was a breast and was lovely. Don’t think I would order again.

After meeting Micheal a while back I finally got around to trying this place today and the grub was brilliant. Hands down the best burger joint in town and i'll definetly be back. Keep up the great work guys.

Had food from here a lot of times and it's always good but every time I've chose to go into the take away the service is horrendous, no one even acknowledges you, my latest experience after being fed up of waiting I checked the counter and found my order and took it, I could have been anyone and took anyone's order, some of the worst service I've ever seen, think I won't bother in future

No matter what you order it will always be delicious. Staff are fantastic and friendly, ordered from this place at least a dozen times and never once been disappointed. One of aberdeen's best takeouts for sure.

Amazing food! I got the Dirty Dirty Pig Burger which was absolutely amazing! I'm American so it's hard to find a good burger in Scotland, but this was the best one in my four years here. Only complaint would be that the seating a bit small, would have liked to have a sit down table. But top notch food anyway...definitely will be back.

Portion size and amount of buffalo sauce and blue cheese was nothing short of disgraceful. I don’t mind paying the big prices for a full box of chips and plenty of sauce but to pay almost £40 for a couple of small boxes of chips and chicken pretty much and a few jalapeño poppers isn’t good enough. Been a loyal costumer for years now but with those prices and portions no chance I’ll be back anytime soon. Embarrassing effort with the sauces guys!

Ordered from Uber eats and the food was hot, not sure why you packed cold tins in the same bag however! Food was excellent though!

Way too overpriced for what it is.

Had heard other locals mention Aberdam fries but had never tried them out. They did not dissapoint. Very, very satisfying burger and fries were absolutely perfect. Looking forward to seeing what else they have to offer next time around!

UNREAL! 12/10 Easily the Best burger in town if not ever…so juicy and full of flavour…well constructed which is a big thing…not like other places were you get it thrown together or a soggy bun! We were very impressed with the care and attention that went in to the packing of our order and it arrived nice and hot. LOVE the fries with salt & pepper dusting…also highly recommend the Mac & cheese bites, so yummy and makes for the best side! Great prices for outstanding grub

We placed a large varied order on a Saturday night, food arrived faster than expected and was all piping hot. The bitterballen were absolutely amazing. Will definitely order again!
