I worked here when it was West Derby Glass WOW!!! What a makeover looks amazing

if you care about your happiness and well being you need to come here and try the blue cheese dip! It will change your life for the better. Cannot fault the food, drinks or staff, all 100/10

Mew menu launch. Excellent food, group of 3 friends ordered 3 small plates each, there was plenty of food to share. Great atmosphere. Drinks were good too.

Went for bottomless brunch at the end of July, it was really disappointing. Most of the cocktails were like juice, we had a rose sangria that looked more like sex on the beach and service for drinks was so slow, kept having to chase, was told we hadn't placed an order (even though we could tell her exactly who took it). Food was nice but we were missing a few of the dishes, waitress told us everything had come out and maybe one of our party had picked something up 'by accident' but agreed to put the order back through like she was doing us a favour. Apparently they were short staffed but the attitude of the girl who served us was appalling, instead of just saying we're short staffed, please bare with us, she just kept accusing us of not placing orders and eating eachother's food and was quite rude! Four of our group were also really ill the next day (and not because of the drinks because we didn't get enough and stopped drinking in the end as they all tasted like juice). Considering how short staffed they were, they still continued to take walk in brunch bookings! One of our party who'd been before had said how good the brunch was previously so perhaps this was just an off day but this experience totally put me off going back.

The food was nice, the staff were lovely, but I won't be going back until they provide one or two more vegan options on their menu. There were only 2, which I think is a bit mean.

Food was actually really nice fresh and cooked lovely we all enjoy it but the service for drinks was not great was meant to be bottomless brunch we had 3 drinks each within the hour and waited 15 mintues at a time for a drink poor staff was rushed off their feet wasn't enough staff to accommodate the amount of customers

Food was exceptional. Delicious doesn't start, best squid I've had on years. Service was spotty... group of 12 on a works event so I understand it's intimidating doing large orders. However, every round of drinks was wrong. Some had drinks we didn't order, some had missed people out, some left drinks sat on the bar that long the order after had joined them, and some didn't actually have alcohol in.... then we got told we couldn't order drinks while we still had drinks, on an unlimited deal, that had only provided 2 per person im an hour. When it was pointed out the 2 drinks we were asking for were for people who had no drinks, we got a lecture. An actual dressing down, by a waiter, for asking for 2 drinks. To say we won't go back is an understatement. This review is mostly to thank and congratulate the kitchen staff for excellent food. The shining light of the event.

Planned a gender reveal last minute and mill lane were absolutely fabulous at accommodating 26 of us. We sat in beer garden. Food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you to Jay and Theresa for looking after us all so well. Definitely recommend great day.

Just enjoyed a brilliant Sunday afternoon with the family celebrating a family birthday in this little belter of a place. Food was amazing, ( Duck pizette, ribs and beavertown IPA top recomendations) staff even better - looked after us all afternoon. Had a gorgeous bottomless here on Saturday, sat outside in the beer garden at the back and enjoyed the sun! Our main server Paris really looked after us, she did such a good job of making us feel really welcome and like valued customers! The other staff were also lovely, and really on the ball in collecting dishes & glasses and checking if we needed anything. The small plates offer a big variety so there is something for everyone - same with the drinks options! Lovely atmosphere, everyone all smilesand out to have a nice afternoon! Look forward to going back!

Another superb visit to this gem of a place. Wings, ribs and meatballs were just wonderful. Neck Oil on draught now as well. Superb service. Just a class act.

Staff was great food seemed premade and out of packets and heated up nothing seemed fresh made the only best dish was the meat and cheese platter to start my wife and i dont mind paying for good food but the food was grossly over priced for what it was also there was a bad burnt cooking oil smell like the oil was over used

My friend had finished her sessions of chemotherapy and we booked here for a surprise brunch for her. Food was delicious and customer service excellent. Well recommend to others

Just visited for 1 drink with my boyfriend and the staff were so lovely and helpful. The Irish barman couldn’t have made us feel more welcome, and the lovely girl at the host stand too. We felt really welcome and will be coming back over the weekend for sure - our new local. Hard to find places with staff like this anymore! A really good vibe.

We all absolutely loved the tapas food, so tasty! Calamari and teriyaki udon noodles 👍 we went on a Saturday night and they had music on (Marcus Hughes), it was a great atmosphere!

Another great place to eat, small plates but quite reasonable, beer great, staff excellent also great during the good weather as is has a beer garden at the back that is a suntrap, so you can tan and drink at the same time 😇

Love this place when the sun is playing out. The outdoor area is very secluded and a proper sun trap. We had some light bites which came quickly and was top quality. The drinks were perfect and also had a couple of cocktails - very relaxing and my favourite spot in the Village

Lovely place, great food and beers and good deals. Very accommodating and changed the freshly cooked food to order, eg spicy chicken wings, used bbq sauce instead as was for kids and advised too spicy. My daughter also got to put together the 2 desserts she was deciding between! Thanks :)

Nice little place, great place for a drink and some interesting Tapas style meals. Very good service.

Waited at a table twice in 2 days to order drinks, in full view of staff. Gave up both times after 10 minutes. Not returning. Lots of places to choose now in West Derby so this is one to definitely avoid

Fabulous meal, had the three for £12 share deal. Three small meals which are actually very generous. I had calamari, mussels and a spicy pepper and onion pizza style bread which was really tasty. My friends also tried the pork noodles, chicken thighs, chorizo and goats cheese spring rolls. Well worth a visit and staff lovely too 👌

Good service, rubbish food!! I visited with my wife midweek and it was a very mediocre meal at best, the service and setting are great but the food was a disaster. The bread board we ordered to start was stale, the focaccia just crumbled and it was drizzled in oil but yet so dry? The other dishes were all bland and also weirdly cold, the meatballs looked steaming hot but the centre was ice cold. The salmon was way overcooked and crisp on the edges but yet also cold inside.....We both suspected the salmon was frozen as the texture just didn't appear to be fresh. The Pizzete was bland with too much cheese and overall it was a waste of money for the price paid.... If you are after Tapas I would strongly recommend trying somewhere else as this place will only disappoint.

Booked table at half 7, dont seated for 45 mins, offered a drink at the bar which was impossible because the sole barmaid didn't stop talking at the end of the bar with a colleague. Finally seated service still didn't exist. Food arrived late when it did miraculousluly arrive it was cold, the staff simply didn't care. This place can be good at times but the arrogonce on display is overwhelming, would recommend if your OK with lazy staff and lackluster food

Been here a few times and always enjoyed the food which I did today. Dont think I will be back again. They refused to let us have the 6 sharing plates for £20 as we were in a big group so had to have individually priced item which cost £36, they then refused to let us use taste card vouchers and gave no discount on Meerekat membership. The service and staff I can not fault just seems unfair that big groups 22 people are not treated fairly. This does not take away the quality of the food.

Went here last night. All four of us were impressed with the quality of the food, the taste and the portion size. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

Food was delicious. Baby back ribs fell off the bone. Steak was tender and tasty and the jerk chicken packed a punch . Would definitely visit again. Highly recommend. Staff were lovely. A little gem in west derby.

Small but perfectly formed restaurant and bar in West Derby village serving fantastic tapas style food. Definitely worth booking in advance as the restaurant gets busy at weekends.

Came here for a meal for two, got 6 plates between us and we both ended up stuffed. Lovely food, well seasoned and an excellent selection. Personal favourites were the halloumi fries, calamari and the Mac and cheese. Really good espresso martini as well. Would love to come back and try their coffee. Will definitely come back, probably on a weekday for the mix and match plate offers.

Ended up here by accident really when we heard Almond was closed. So glad we tried it though. Great food, very tasty and a bit different. Good service and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend it.
