First time experience was great ordering pad kee mow and pad krik. Portions are large. Good place for a quiet weekend evening. Will visit again.

This used to be the best Thai food in the area but today I have to comment on appalling service. As it was Valentine’s Day I really wanted to do something special with my other half, Having tried the restaurant before the food Was really good that we wanted to try it out again. However such to our disappointment The service was very poor. Having reserved a table at 7:30 We got our starters at 7:45, We were waiting for well over an hour for our main courses, Where to our shock we were seeing other people Came much later than we had have their starters and main course delivered to the table. We waited until 8:50, And we had given up waiting, I also must point out nobody came up to us to say why There was such a long wait. I shall not be returning to this restaurant ever again after this appalling service. They ruined our first Valentines Day, I am still seething with rage.

Food good but not as good as it used to be

Sadly this was a let down. Certainly not the quality I expected based on the reviews or the price. We had 6 dishes between us and only one of them was good, the rest were below standard for Thai restaurants we've been to before. The childrens portions are ridiculous, we ordered a fried chicken egg noodle dish, and as well as the chicken and egg in the noodles there was then a whole portion of chicken nuggets on top too. Sadly the battered and fried elements were too heavy and stodgy and tasted like old oil was being used. Everything else lacked flavour and presentation. Service was OK at times but seemed short staffed as the bar and kitchen are on different floors. Had to chase to get the bill. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has had any thai food before.

What a little gem of a place. Proper Thai spicy food, the Larb was hot and fresh, my partners squid and prawns cooked to perfection. Spice levels equal to local Thailand dishes. 💜

Horrendously slow service. Tempura nothing special and Pla Rad Prik was a soggy deep fried chippy style batter smothered in sickly sweet n sour sauce, served with dry, rubbery rice - nothing like the fresh Seafood flavours expected of Thailand.

The food here is phenomenal and the staff are lovely. Its also reasonably priced. Hands down the best Thai food iv had in many years, if not ever.

The food was very good. The restaurant is on the second floor of the building, located in the centre of Bishop. The staff is from Thailand and the food tastes very similar to the food you can eat in Thailand. I spent a month in Thailand and I was missing some Thai food and I would recommend this place. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are big.

Staff are an absolute delight and can't do enough for you. Six of us all thoroughly enjoyed our starters and mains and I'm looking forward to returning.

Surpassed our expectations and beyond. Tasted really authentic, with right amount of spicy kick that we were looking for.

Our Favourite restaurant 😋 absolutely love this place, great service again this evening, my wife is filipino and loves her Asain food, we always really enjoy the food here; would come everyday if we could, in our opinion the best Tai restaurant we've been in,myself and my wife have been vegetarian for 2.5 years and can't praise this place enough, we sometimes bring friends or family who eat the meat dishes and they also love the meat choices equally as much as we do.

Me and my best friend went to try it out a couple weeks ago. Both our meals were outstanding, service was very good by a waitress speaking English as a second language, she was very friendly and looked after us. Very reasonably priced, very good food. I recommend it to anyone who loves Asian food like me.

Literally the best restaurant in town, and one of the best I've had in the county! Everything fresh and absolutely delicious, couldn't resist having desert at the end. Make a special trip to come here, you absolutely deserve it!

Absolutely fantastic 3 course meal, the calamari was cooked to perfection. The Seafood Pad Kee Mow was stunning and Had an excellent kick. One of, if not the best restaurant in Co. Durham. The staff are exceptional, very friendly and helpful.

It seems on Sunday evenings the North of England is closed for food, so we were most pleased to come across this Thai restaurant hidden away after driving from Stanhope (yes, really!). A little quiet, but friendly service, good food and quick too. A nice window seat looking over the nice bit of Bishop Auckland.

Lovely place. Had the Tom Yam Goong soup, Pad Thai and Pangang curry. It all tasted amazing. It will be my go to place now for Thai food.

We were a party of four and had no problems getting a table upstairs. Service was friendly and after receiving our beers, starters soon came out. There was a bit of a wait for the main dishes, but they were well presented and delicious, though one main dish was wrong, but we didn't want to wait for it to be changed. A very enjoyable meal, nice ambience and looking forward to a return visit.

Friendly welcome. Quite a long time, for drink order to be taken. We ordered a sharing platter and it took an eternity to arrive and it was an Iceland frozen platter. We are still here now, well over an hour since we arrived and still waiting for our main meal to arrive! Dreadful service and adequate quality. So disappointed xxx

My fiancé brought me to this Thai restaurant for a date afternoon, food was delicious..staff were very down to earth really friendly. Prices are very affordable. Lovely setting. Clean and tidy will definitely be returning in the near future.

My husband and I had a meal here the first day they reopened for seated service after lockdown. There was hand sanitiser at the entry, the waitress took our details wearing a protective face mask, we sat at a table that was well distanced from others...and then had a two course feast for lunch! Most delicious Tom Kha Gai I have had outside of Thailand. So tasty. So fresh. Highly recommend.

Great food and service, and by far the best Thai restaurant I've been to. The Masaman curry was superb; and would definitely recommend. Also excellent value for money.

Lovely restaurant with even more lovely staff. The menu is comprehensive, the food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The restaurant often hosts all-you-can-eat buffet nights which are a great addition to the classic made to order menu. There are also great multi-course discounts during lunch, and occasionally evenings.

Don't go through the week weekends are better but limited menu

The ambience is zero and service appalling. Chicken was dry in both dishes I ordered. Chicken satay and Thai green curry which was really watery and tasteless. We definitely won't be going back to be overcharged for basically a average Chinese takeaway.

Having visited this restaurant on a number of occassions previously we were disappointed with both the food and service. I had heard that since the refurbishment things had slipped but chose to go anyway. We had the set menu. The chicken in the soup and mains was overcooked and dry. Not sure the prawns were fully cooked through. There was no coffee available as the cafe downstairs was shut?? Given that there were only 3-4 tables occupied we hardly saw anything of the waiting staff and had to seek them out for our bill.Very disappointed and torn as to whether we will return.

How anyone can run a restaurant with staff not having a clue to english is beyond me, We went for a birthday celebration which turned out to be a disaster, the food came now and again and we didnt eat together, trying to get a drink was impossible, the whole evening was a joke i can only think they muddle through cos most people who were in were drunk

By day this place has a lovely tea shop on the ground floor with a range of seating in this lovely old building.Waitress takes your order and on arrival she was advised there would be a little wait which was about 5-10mins but once ordered it came quickly.Had beef sarnie with salad for £3.00 great value. Vast range of coffee too.

Two starters, mussels and spring rolls were tasty and hot and a salad also good. Prior to our mains arriving we were given warmed plates but it was then about ten minutes before the food arrived so by then they had cooled. Two of the mains, duck and pork were tepid as was the steamed rice, not great. The third main was fish. There were four to choose from, sea bass, red snapper, cod and salmon. Snapper was chosen but what was served was not snapper but a very soft white fillet which I'd hazard a guess was maybe plaice or basa but I'm pretty sure not one of those listed on the menu. Rather than wait for another meal to be cooked it was accepted but brought to the attention of the waitress.When I asked for the bill I asked for a reduction due to the fish and the chef appeared and apologised taking something off as requested and offering by way of explanation the excuse that the kitchen was busy. Sorry, but to serve something other than what was ordered is an attempt to hoodwink the customer. If the snapper was unavailable an alternative should have been offered and not served assuming the customer wouldn't notice or care. I'm afraid the smiles don't compensate for the average, at best, food and service. I wanted it to be good but doubt I'll hurry back.

I went here for dinner and whilst each ingredient was well cooked, the flavours were unlike any other Thai food I have had in this country or Thailand itself.The stay sauce for the chicken satay was very creamy and over-powered the satay flavour. I then had Prawn with holy basil and chilli - usually one of my favourites. The flavour was unlike any other version of this I had eaten before. Not that unpleasant, but not what I had expected. The worst dish was the iconic Pad Thai. The flavour was predominantly of a purple bean that it was served with. I have no idea what it was, as I have never seen it before, but the flavour was similar to onion. For me, it ruined the dish completely.Needles to say, I won't be returning.
