Heywood Brasserie

Tenby: North, Pembrokeshire
07/06/2019: Decided to try the cuisine here again as we were staying at the hotel as we were so impressed the last time we came. Nice new menu with plenty of choice, good, tasty portions of food all freshly cooked, very nice indeed! Service was very good too, all the staff work incredibly hard
31/05/2019: We were lucky tonight to be able to eat here on the first night of the new menu. Such a fantastic choice we struggled to chose, it was as if this menu had been chosen for us, not one thing we wouldn’t have tried.

The Half Moon

Bigyn, Carmarthenshire, >100£
15/06/2019: Amazing food and service. Recently had a party here and was amazing staff who allow dogs. An excellent place for friends, families and couples or even just going alone. The fact they allow dogs which is very helpful and friendly towards them excellent food especially the Sunday Carvary’s and breakfasts. I would recommend them 10/10 100% my favourite place to go to celebrate any occasion or even just for a night out.
15/06/2019: We visit here regularly and always have a pleasurable experience. Food is beautiful. Their recent new menu is great. Plenty of choice and they cater for all needs. The venue itself is friendly and welcoming. It’s a real benefit that the pub is dog friendly as we often bring our pooch, she is always greeted with treats and love. We also recently had a 16th birthday party at this venue which was a great success! The staff went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic evening for all. Sean in-particular is friendly and welcoming on all our visits.

Ocean Restaurant

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
22/02/2019: Due to the building being sold recently, I have sadly discovered that our favourite restaurant in Tenby is no more. I’d like to wish all the members of staff that always made our visits very memorable, our best wishes and good luck in any future ventures. My family and I will miss you so much. Best food in Tenby bar none! Hope you can find new premises to start again. Tenby won’t be the same without The Ocean Restaurant #sad

The Stradey Arms

Hengoed, Carmarthenshire
16/06/2019: So this weekend we had a table booked for 14 people for a birthday. Table was set up fine, accessible for everyone and the premises are clean.
01/06/2019: Foods amazing, lovely gammon and no issues with gluten or milk! Waiter was really good, busy but chatty. Parking though needs practice, not symmetrical and pretty full.

Arthur's

Laugharne Township, Carmarthenshire
13/06/2019: Being in Wales it was raining hard! We were staying at Season's where there is no wi-fi and I needed to clear off four days worth of emails. We initially went to Arthur's for a coffee and free Wi-Fi. The food looked delicious and the service we received was excellent, so we ended up staying for lunch. I chose the All-day-Breakfast with modifications (I had toast instead of chips) and my wife had a vegetarian meal. I had a beer with mine and unusually given the choice of chilled/room temperature. I made the right choice for me that is and chose room temperature. It was local and excellent.
12/06/2019: Lovely meal Lunch and Evening Meal.

Cwtch*

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 30-45£
17/06/2019: Compare and contrast Cwtch with Tyr Y Felin in St Davids. Cwtch is Welsh for a cosy cuddle, and the restaurant does just that. It's small so worth booking - early evening gets a 15% discount.
16/06/2019: We had the most delicious meal in a cosy, friendly atmosphere. It was ike dining at home but with superb food!

Salvage Bar

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, <20£
15/06/2019: I can honestly say, one of the best Sunday Lunches I have ever had. Well cooked, good portions, plenty of veg, hot. Lots of Choice. Also had Dessert which was equally good. Service Excellent, Staff really friendly & helpful. Good value. Very well situated with wonderful sea view.
15/06/2019: A nicely presented place, myself and partner were going to eat here but unfortunately a couple behind us made a racist comment about the English (us) so we drunk our drinks and went next door to The Royal Oak. All we had done was walk in and order drinks!!! But it worked out well as we had a delicious meal in the Royal Oak.

No 25 Bar and Cafe

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
10/06/2019: Had a couple of great breakfasts here. My wife assures me also that the coffee is best at this establishment!! The first breakfast was a little on the cold side, but on Saturday, the breakfast was at the perfect temperature. I love warm/hot toast, so learnt that the toast needs to be eaten first! All in all, well worth a visit. The staff are very helpful and attentive and the prices are acceptable.
05/06/2019: We hadden al op veel plekken in Tenby koffie gedronken, maar vonden ze eigenlijk allemaal vies. Hier bij no.25 is de koffie uitstekend. Gelijk 3 espresso' s gedronken ♥️

Plantagenet House Restaurant

Tenby: North, Pembrokeshire
17/06/2019: Not sure what was on plate it was sold as halibut but could have been swordfish? Not sure Jim? The sauce was not what I know of, pickled cheese sauce with Cauliflower? Tiny cauliflower. The sauce was not as we know it it was a particularly bad effort that I had to send it back. This is the first time I have ever sent a dish back and for 25 odd quid bit of a rip off. Maybe got unlucky but just going on the starter that wasn't good either.
07/06/2019: Discovered Plantagenet restaurant in Tenby after visiting the National Trust Tudor House next door - what a find! Enjoyed such a tasty lunch (Monday) with excellent service and surroundings, so returned for dinner on the Wednesday evening and the minute we walked through the door, waiter Dan said: "Welcome back" - most impressive considering how many people must visit during the intervening days. Quality of food was excellent, cooked to perfection (Scallops - exquisite) with such attention to detail again served by Dan (excellent role model for any aspiring waiters). Enjoyed a chat with owner, Nya who oversees entire proceedings with a calm and smiling presence! The decor is entirely appropriate for the age of the property with many interesting items tucked here and there. Can't recommend highly enough. Only wish we lived nearer than Norwich so that we could visit more often!
