The Fuchsia Caffe

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
09/03/2020: Our favourite place for food and coffee in Tenby. Lovely staff and food of course in pleasant surroundings. Dogs are welcome which is so nice to see and they have their own menu too. Next time we're in Tenby it will be our first stop as usual. All the very best from a Happy Customer.
20/02/2020: We really enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch. Smoked salmon sandwich excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. We could not manage a cake but they did look lovely. We will definitely go to the cafe again.

Amroth Arms Restuarant

Amroth, Pembrokeshire, <20£
14/03/2020: Ordered a vegetable pate (£7.50) consisted of a scope of coleslaw, wincie side salad and 2 inch bowl of tomato based pate (the sort of consistency that comes from a smoothie machine) and ONE piece of bread. We asked if there was any more bread to come as we had ordered soup as well, but alas no. What cost would there be another piece of bread??
25/02/2020: Had a fantastic Sunday lunch, quality of food and service were so good value for money. Would highly recommend.

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
16/03/2020: 3 course Sunday lunch for £29 is excellent value. Complimentary two types of home made bread and sparkling water. Excellent cheerful service with a good choice on the menu, not your usual Sunday roast meats. Could not fault any course, thank you chef. It is always a treat to come here. Menu on website is just a sample as it depends what is in season/ market fresh. Can’t wait to return.
11/03/2020: This resturant is set in the heart of the Carmarthen countryside. The staff were welcoming and friendly and spent time talking about the food on offer. The choices were varied and interesting for both meat eaters and vegetarians. There was also delicious home made foccacia and sour dough bread and olives to eat whilst waiting for our main course: which was cooked to order. When the meals arrived they were beautifully presented and tasted as delicious as they looked. My husband however was a little disappointed with his steak, which was rare as opposed to 'blue' as he had ordered.

Mrs Will the Fish - seafood take-away

Solva, Pembrokeshire
12/01/2020: Absolutely delicious platter for picnic overlooking the sea from a position kindly recommended by the lady herself. Will be back!!
06/01/2020: We stayed just outside St Davids for New Year and ordered a fish platter for two for New Year's Eve, with not a great deal of notice. Mrs Will was super accommodating and the food itself was brilliant: fresh dressed crab, lobster and prawns. And all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Impasto Pizza Bar

Milford: Central, Pembrokeshire
06/03/2020: Been here a few times now and all I can say it gets better and better. Our last visit was on Valentine's Day, we booked a table via email, which was confirmed but it wasn't transferred into their book. Most other places would have turned us away, but these guys found us a table and made sure we were happy. What more can I say, just fantastic service. If ever you are in the Milford Haven area or nearby and your in the mood for Italian pizza or pasta, head for this place, you won't regret it. 5 out of 5.
26/02/2020: Fantastic meal wine and service last night . Pizzas were exceptional . Puddings were gorgeous and service was spot on . Definitely will return

Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
02/03/2020: (Traducido por Google) Personal amable y servicial. Edificio encantador con habitaciones limpias y acogedoras. Gran restaurante con comida deliciosa. (Original) Friendly and helpful staff. Lovly building with clean and cozy rooms. Great restaurant with delicious food.
(Original) We had the pleasure of staying in the Tyddewi suite at Twr Y Felin on Valentines Day just gone. We knew of the hotel’s reputation and it did not disappoint. We were blown away by everything, from the welcoming, generous and hard working staff, the lovely food and drink to the quality of the suite itself. The suite was unique, of exceptional quality and came with added personal touches, including a hand written welcoming card, local chocolates and a chilled bottle of processco for the occasion. This sense of locality continued at the restaurant. In the evening we enjoyed a seven course taster menu which included ingredients sourced from the local area - it is clear the hotel is proud of its Welsh heritage and works hard to ensure that it showcases the best Wales has to offer. The service, presentation and standard of food was of an excellent standard. Finally, the technology in the hotel was brilliant (something we look for) and remained uninterrupted despite the bad weather. We cannot recommend Twr Y Felin enough, we have been talking about the stay since we left. We are already planning our return and intend on bringing friends with us next time - the hotel really is a destination in its own right.

The Salt Cellar

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
15/03/2020: You know when a place has got it right when you get bread and water without asking. I could have stayed there just eating the tasty warm bread. I had the soufflé, followed by the beef which fell apart without the need of a knife. A tasty pineapple and coconut cream dessert followed. The small sample of pork and black pudding that my wife allowed me has made me want to try that on my next visit. Warm, friendly service, a very enjoyable evening.
10/03/2020: we had a wonderful meal at the Salt Cellar again.

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
08/03/2020: Not to bad, the owner seems a great bloke friendly and chatty. The food is not bad I cannot say it's the best I've had. Lots of bikers use the cafe as it's close by the favoured brecon beacons roads. If I'm in the area I'd stop for a brew.

Runwayskiln

St. Ishmael's, Pembrokeshire
07/12/2019: This is one of those places you're reluctant to post a review about - because you really don't want everyone else to know how amazing it is and then you'll never be able to get a table....
05/12/2019: A warm welcome on a damp breezy day. Others were having cake and coffee or soup, but we went for lunch - beef and veggie oggie (pasty) and Cumberland sausage respectively with excellent chips. Date and ginger cake with pineapple and ice cream to follow was also really good. Recommended.

Calon Cafe and Interiors

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
15/03/2020: Pethau Da is the best restaurant in the whole of South West Wales. The food is always stand-out amazing. Local produce, cooked to perfection. The staff are always so lovely and friendly, and service is always quick and helpful. The drinks selection is great, with lots of local suppliers and an every-changing selection of cocktails. The venue is beautiful, and perfect for anything from a casual brunch to a romantic evening meal. The offers are fantastic and incredible value for money. And to top it off they're dog friendly too! You won't find a better place to eat in South West Wales!
08/03/2020: Delicious, good quality food; reasonably priced; and fantastic service. We were a party of 18 plus a dog and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were friendly and very accommodating. Plus it’s great to find an eatery that welcomes dogs.

Top Joes

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
27/02/2020: Good pizza and pasta though for me their hearty salads are a highlight. I travel extensively and spend a lot of time in tenby. Sometimes I dont want pub grub and the salad at Top Joe's is great for when I want a hearty salad and a glass of wine. The pizzas are excellent aswell though.
18/02/2020: Really nice pasta and pizza. No frills restaurant - a little chilly and basic but still very good. We would return when we’re back.
