Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
07/09/2019: Had lunch at Y Polyn yesterday. The hake was excellent and probably one of the best meals we have had for some time. We both had chocolate mousse for desert which was again excellent. Service very good and friendly staff. Will definitely be booking again.
05/09/2019: Top restaurant in the Carmarthen area. Make sure to book in advance (Though a phone call on the day always worth a try). And view the menu online if you need to know in advance, or if you want to plan ahead! Very good choice of meals across the courses. Excellent home made breads. Set prices let you know what to expect and very good wine selection at really sensible prices.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
11/09/2019: Warm welcome run by a lovely couple
06/09/2019: Interesting place tucked into the old city wall of Tenby. Food is interesting, well cooked, well presented, and you leave the restaurant wishing you had more internal room to try just one more dish! The staff are friendly, well informed and helpful but still give you space and time to enjoy the food. Definitely one to head for when you are in this part of the world.

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
12/09/2019: In the area on holiday for a few days and called in for a coffee and cake twice and a further take-away. Great coffee, lovely staff who really cared and great cakes. Bit quirky sitting inside but nice to see something different from the corporate chain.
09/09/2019: Lovely little place where I sheltered from the rain and enjoyed a yummy orange hot chocolate. It is very small so seating is limited but that adds to the cosiness.

Gianni's Ice Cream

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
14/09/2019: The Celtic Crumble and Rum and Raisin ice cream cornets we’re both very disappointing - emphasis on ice as opposed to cream - really not at all creamy. Disappointing.
13/09/2019: My wife has dairy free and gluten free diet. What a delight she had a choice of 5 or 6 sorbets, especially nice on a hot summers day. The size of the portions are enormous. Well worth dropping in and enjoying an ice creams here. It is also nice that they were open late, one evening having been out for the day we polished of the day with a nice ice cream before going back to our house. Lovely

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
12/09/2019: Set in a beautiful location the owls nest delivers a fine array of light bites and full meals to cater for the smallest to the largest of appetites but if its busy be prepared for a wait
08/09/2019: Having turned up in my car there was a friendly welcome, by the staff and owner, loads of parking space, nice clean toilets and top notch tasting food, and I must add Heinz Tom sauce which is always a massive plus.

The Nags Head

Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire
12/09/2019: After failing to eat in the Ffynnone Arms, Newchapel, Boncath, due to not doing food on a Thursday despite their website saying they do food in the evening from Wednesday to Saturday, we were directed to The Nags head. Excellent food, great service and lovely staff. Good choice for vegetarians too. Glad we ended up here.
10/09/2019: We visited for Sunday lunch in early September. We both enjoyed our lamb and turkey roast dinners - tasty and good-sized portions. In fact the additional sides we ordered weren’t necessary. The pub also has a good play area which kept our toddler amused for hours. Friendly staff. Would recommend.

Fire & ice

Narberth, Pembrokeshire
28/08/2019: Great selection of Gin and Whisky great prices, the owner is one of the most knowledgeable and friendly ladies that we have met in along time. This is a must visit if you are in the area. Think about it Gin and ice cream what more can one ask for.
28/08/2019: Visited here twice while i was enjoying a long weekend in and around Narberth. Originally went on the recommendation of family who had visited a few days prior. They came back raving about the ice cream and after my visit i can see why. The ice cream/gelato is all home made is tastes fantastic! A really great selection to choose from as well! The rest of the shop, although small, is packed with a great selection of beers and spirits, many of which i had never seen before! I will be back soon and will be buying some of the home made Cyder too!! You can tell the owners really care about each and every customer! The blackcurrent sorbet is incredible, as is the double vanilla gelato!

Amroth Arms Restuarant

Amroth, Pembrokeshire, <20£
10/09/2019: Visited for a meal tonight, took our Labrador pup and made very welcome. Our food was prompt and hot and very good. We didn’t book as it was a Tuesday but they squeezed us in
01/09/2019: We visited the Amroth Arms for an evening meal We requested to book a table as we had a five year old with us and wanted to eat at 6 30. Unfortunately the restaurant was full but a very nice lady managed to squeeze us in on a high table with bar stools which was fine. We promptly ordered our food on arrival and by the time we had bought a drink the food arrived Our meals were all piping hot and the child’s meal was a very good portion We all enjoyed our food and three members of staff asked us if everything was ok. Would definitely recommend the Amroth Arms both for quality and service

Top Joes

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
12/09/2019: Top Joes was highly recommended by our B&B; host and it lived up to expectations. The pizzas are cooked to perfection and the garlic bread with or without cheese is just sublime. The salads are plentiful and the wine is not expensive. It may look a little tied from the outside but I would recommend a visit.
09/09/2019: We first discovered this wonderful restaurant in August 2018 during our first holiday in Tenby. We haven’t stopped recommending this great place since!
