Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
05/11/2019: We had an amazing meal here. The food is outstanding, my wife and I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The staff are very attentive, the place itself has a very relaxed feel, which we love. We will definitely return, it is one of our favourite places to eat.
27/10/2019: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve ever eaten here. My mouth is watering just thinking of the lemon parfait with meringue shards. The flavours are interesting, and food is fresh and locally sourced. The staff cater amazingly for my difficult diet (coeliac and vegetarian) without ever making me feel it’s any trouble. There is a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, and service is the right level of attentive. We always enjoy a trip here.

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
31/10/2019: Called in weekday at about 10am, family of four with two young teenage boys, half term week. Plenty of church pew and chaired seating. Fantastic breakfast, we had a full Welsh cooked breakfast, scrambled egg and two bacon baguettes, good sized hot portions with coffee, tea and fruit juices. Friendly service and lovely warm fire. Good value at £22.
14/10/2019: Called in for a pot of tea, stayed for a panini. Perfection. Great service, amazing food quality and I left with a warm, fuzzy feeling. The cafe has a real community buzz to it and the staff seem to really care for their customers. Thank you, Blas!

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
04/11/2019: This little place was brilliant - such a good find which we stubbles upon whilst exploring the harbour. Great coffee, even better snacks and cakes! Really friendly staff and great feel to it. Meant to go back but ran out of time - would definitely come back on a return trip to Tenby!! Bring cash, as there’s no card machine but lots you’ll want to buy!
03/11/2019: Lovely coffee, really cute little place. If I lived locally I'd go there all the time. Loved the beautiful paper cups too!

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
11/11/2019: We had an enjoyable evening here with friends. The waitresss were very friendly and efficient. The pub itself has a lovely feel to it and was buzzing on Saturday night. So far all good but the food was not as good as we expected from others who've eaten here. The several of us who ordered the panfried salmon were disappointed with this meal. Others who had not ordered this dish were delighted with their food. The salmon was meant to be panfried but was clearly oven roast. It fell apart into strangely glutinous strands of fish and the broth veg were overdone. Unfortunately the raspberry frangipan was disappointing too. Beer was excellent.
11/11/2019: Always have a great, freshly prepared meal here with local ingredients. Staff are super friendly and there is a great quiz on a Wednesday, which we have won a few times!! Great to see local charities being supported.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
14/10/2019: Absolutely beautiful meal with top quality ingredients and fabulous service! Waitresses were very attentive and the actual restaurant itself is really lovely, small and intimate, will definitely be making a return visit!
11/09/2019: Warm welcome run by a lovely couple

Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
01/11/2019: We stayed at the hotel when it first opened and thoroughly enjoyed it and as we were in the area this week we decided to make a return visit for dinner. Unfortunately this time, my experience was not so enjoyable. After a conversation with the head waiters when ordering the lamb I asked for it to be medium rather than medium rare. When it came however, it was not what I considered to be medium and there was very little to accompany it - a slither of butternut squash and ?swede - a complete contrast to my husband's meal of hake with chick peas in a delicious sauce - a complete meal! The saving grace were the staff who were lovely, very attentive and keen to report customer feedback
20/10/2019: We had a great dinner and the service was good. The food was beautifully presented and very fresh and delicious. Would definitely go again.

31/10/2019: Visited here many times the ice creams are delicious also they make a very good freshly ground coffee !
17/10/2019: What’s not to like about this place. We called in for a couple of ice creams and the weather was good enough for us to eat outside. A great choice of flavours. We also bought the dog his own ice cream. Call in - you won’t regret it..

Amroth Arms Restuarant

Amroth, Pembrokeshire, <20£
07/11/2019: My Wife and I dropped into the Amroth Arms for a quick pint while out on a walk, on the recommendation of Lee of Coastal wood Holidays. We are happy to say the beers were well kept and service attentive and friendly.
06/11/2019: One of my favourite places to eat. The food is always top notch and served by friendly, helpful staff. On arrival there is always time for a pleasant welcome and chat. Had lovely lunch there yesterday with a group of friends and going back tomorrow. I think that says it all.

Calon Cafe and Interiors

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
11/11/2019: Stopped in Carmarthen looking for something to eat and came across this gem. I had the ultimate welsh burger with a side of fries. The pate was huge and full of flavour. The fries were nice and crispy. Mrs H had the chicken club sandwich which came with fries and coleslaw. Super tasty again. Then had a blondie and Victoria sponge with a flat white and latte. Cakes were both excellent as was the coffee. Lovely interior and staff were super helpful. All round a great experience. Diolch.
09/11/2019: Visited this little gem before my train journey. So glad that I decided to walk down the side street.

The Canteen

Newport, Pembrokeshire
27/10/2019: Ordered by phone Half Term Sunday evening at 6pm. 2 x cheese and tomato, 1 x pepperoni, 1 x Strumble (fish) pizzas. Available for collection in individual boxes exactly on time stated - at 6.30pm. Friendly prompt collection/payment. Enjoyed by all - very good pizzas. £38.
23/10/2019: We called in for lunch when we happened to be in Newport and were made very welcome; so was our dog, who was immediately offered a bowl of water. We could see the pizzas being made, and very good they were. My partner had a Strumble Head pizza, with smoked mackerel, anchovies and capers and I had a vegan pizza with my own selection of toppings, which we both thought were good value. My partner enjoyed a couple of bottles of local Bluestone Brewery Bedrock Blonde.
