Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
06/11/2017: Great cafe.ian is a pain in the butt. But rest of staff are great.
30/10/2017: Friendly motorcycle focused cafe with good food.

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
16/08/2017: Visited on a couple of occasions as we stayed in the village but as our group was large (19) and the pub was always full we didn't eat there although the food looked very appetizing. Lovely staff, lovely customers, great beer, thoroughly recommend a visit.
14/08/2017: Right from the very welcoming greeting by the owner to the wonderful food and service this is one of the best pubs we have ever been to. There is a very friendly atmosphere in the pub and dogs are made very welcome with treats being offered and a fuss made of them. It is essential to book though especially in the evenings as it's popularity means that it is always very busy.I had a glorious Sirloin steak, my son had a burger which he devoured and my partner had the beef pie. All were excellent. I couldn't help notice the massive spare ribs that were dished up to the table next to us as well that were being well praised. All in all a very enjoyable evening and this should be a blueprint for how all pubs should be especially their attitude to dogs. We will certainly be back when we come to these parts again.

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
18/08/2017: Fantastic food, great and attentive (but certainly not in your face) staff. Even off the lunch menu there are things I'll want to go back for. Yes it is on the pricey side, but the quality and portion size mean that you feel you are getting your money's worth. Will certainly return for another (and another) visit.I would recommend it for a special occasion and ALWAYS book, even for lunch.
15/08/2017: What a truly lovely evening we had last night celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was so tasty and beautifully presented and all good size portions. We would recomment the crispy belly pork and guinea fowl and the puddings! It was difficult to decide! I plumped for the egg custard tart with raspberry ripple ice cream, it was delicious and my husband the eaton mess knickerbocker glory, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and have time to engage. Wonderful!

Tafarn Morlais

Llangennech, Carmarthenshire
16/08/2017: Excellent evening - Excellent service - Excellent Food. Excellent price. Just EXCELLENT.. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
12/08/2017: We found this pub through trip advisor. Firstly the service was truly excellent, lovely staff and such a warm welcome and the food was just amazing for lunchtime pub food. The cockles and laver bread were stunning! When we are back in the area we will 100% visit again.

Wavecrest Cafe

Pembroke: St. Mary North, Pembrokeshire
20/08/2017: Had a ride out to visit Angle with friends and stopped for a drink etc, very pleasant place, lovely food
18/08/2017: Called in for lunch, we had the daily special. Cheese and leek tart, delicious. The homemade desserts are to die for. Would highly recommend.

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
15/08/2017: Went to The Mulberry twice while on holiday in Saundersfoot. Can honestly say that it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The we tried the sirloin steak, salmon, duck and chicken on our visits. Need to pick this place up and move it closer to us. Will definitely be back as soon as we can...
14/08/2017: The Mulberry is a gem and helping put Saundersfoot on the foodie map of Wales. We went as a family, and had three great courses - my wife having the monk fish and I the sea bass. The staff were inviting and attentive

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
18/08/2017: Popped in for a coffeee. Very cosy and welcoming. Great atmosphere would highly reccomend, nice stop off on our weekend in tenby
18/08/2017: Visited The Stowaway a few times during our week in Tenby. Just a couple of drinks or a coffee. Friendly staff, great beer and excellent coffee. We also played Shut the Box and Dominoes.

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
16/08/2017: Went on a girls night out from work. Service was impeccable, food great (set menu for £11.75). We had a great time, the staff were friendly and very accommodating to our seating needs.
16/08/2017: We were a group of 5 on this visit. We all chose from the set menu, 2 courses for £11.95.We had plenty of options to choose from. The food is still as delicious as it was when I visited a couple of years ago. I tried chicken chat for my starter, 2 others chose onion bhajas and 2 the kebabs. My main was prawn biriyani. It was superb, full of prawns and with a medium vegetable curry. Everyone enjoyed their mains. One of our group had never experienced Indian food before. He loved it.We liked the complimentary poppadoms and pickles to enjoy while waiting for our starters. I have given 5 based on the food. However I have to say that the service varied. One gentleman was rather formal and unsmiling whereas another seemed really pleased to serve us and smiled most of the time. The restaurant was quite busy with many take aways going out. We had an unacceptably long wait between the starter and main course. Our friends had left 2 dogs in their car in the car park and were getting rather anxious. In the end I had to ask when our mains would appear. The waiter went straight to the kitchen and the mains appeared promptly. It is my guess that take aways took priority before diners. Nevertheless the quality of the food far outweighed the annoyance we had. We hope to return.

The Canteen

Newport, Pembrokeshire
21/08/2017: Excellent burgers and pizzas. Drinks choice is a little limited but certainly good enough (bottled soft drinks and local beer). Service is usually good but can sometimes be a little underwhelming (we've had a waitress standing at one end of a large group say they can't hear our children giving their food order but not bother to move closer to them...). Very popular restaurant so booking ahead is worthwhile.
14/08/2017: Freundlicher und netter Services trotz Rush-Hour und ohne Vorbestellung. Gutes Essen und Getränke zu fairen Preisen. Gerne wieder.

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
21/08/2017: should have booked but the waiter welcomed us and found us a table . what a lovely little rustic place fabulous food and plenty of it we will definately be back .
21/08/2017: bit of a wait and quite cramped food was good and staff were pleasant generally would recommend here

The Shed Bistro

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
20/08/2017: Great spot, cracking seafood. Had the crab sandwiches and shellfish soup, both were delicious and well prepared. The chips are also to die for.
19/08/2017: Visited The Shed while on along weekend in Pembrokeshire. All I can say is the food lived up to its reputation, it was amazing. I had Monk Fish and my husband had the John Dory. We could not fault any of it. The Shed is just a casual place to eat on the harbour side but worth visiting if you are in Pembrokeshire as I believe you will not be disappointed. I will definitely return when back in Pembrokeshire and highly recommend it to anyone. The fish was so fresh and the chips were really good. We couldn't eat it all as the portions are huge. Please visit you'll love it.

Ginhaus deli

Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire
22/08/2017: My husband and I specifically took a trip to visit Ginhaus Deli because Id heard lots of good things. I was not disapponted. Hubby had a beautiful burger, cooked to perfection with a lovely salad and potatoes, I had off the breakfast menu. Again, well cooked and plentiful. We both had hot drinks and a sneaky raspberry gin for me! There was entertainment outside and samples of gin and preserves...heaven. As you can see the food etc I have no complaint about, however I seemed to be wearing an invisibility cloak when I went to order. I patiently waited a few minutes because wveryone was visibly busy, which was fine. However, when someone did come to serve, he completely blanked me, when I was clearly first in the queue and progressed to serve the 2nd customer in the queue. I did speak up however the waiter and customer and waiter were so deep in conversation that I was not heard. Charming!!Another member of staff then came to seve and was apologetic when I explained about my invisibility cloak!! Anyway, I will visit again, and hope it doesnt happen again.
21/08/2017: Went for most recent visit here in July and it is just such a wonderful place for it's cozy ambience and great gin, baked goodies, salads. A real asset to Llandeilo and the best Gins around. Sadly, the crab salad sandwich and salad was sold out when we arrived but admittedly it had been the busiest weekend of the entire year in Llandeilo, the Jazz Festival so we totally understood and the salad I got instead was great. Will always come back, thanks for making Llandeilo even more stylish all of you!

Blue Ball Restaurant

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire, >100£
20/08/2017: We holiday in Tenby every year and make sure that we reserve a table at the Blue Ball for each night of our visit. The menu has an excellent choice of food and is all cooked to order. The staff, especially Zoe and her daughter, make our visit memorable, they're attentive and helpful. Over the course of the week we tried various dishes including the blue ball chicken, the lamb curry, the burger and their sumptuous garlic bread. If you appreciate good locally sourced quality food, then give the Blue Ball a try. Thanks again Zoe, and we'll be back next year, The Macefields.
19/08/2017: Lovely restaurant✅Great food✅we went as a family, staff were friendly. My partner and I had the early bird menu which gave us 20% off because we ordered before 7pm. Lamb rump was delicious, steak well cooked. Kids loved theirs. We will be back.

Cafe at No 4

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
16/08/2017: My husband and I love this place we always come to mark special occasions which are made all the more special by the fabulous food. Everything we've tried from our various visits has been so tasty and the presentation is always creative. Can't wait to book in again. Definitely a must if you are visiting Carmarthen but book well in advance.Only thing that could possibly be improved is the service we have experienced different staff every time we come.
22/07/2017: The best place in carmarthen to eat. Bring your own beer. Lovely food. Centre of town. The best place.

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
12/08/2017: We have eaten at Blas several times and decided it would be the ideal place to hire out for our wedding reception (small and intimate.) We had a brilliant time - of course that's partly because we'd just got married, but it's also because our overall experience of Blas was excellent. In the run-up to the day, they were organised, responsive and inventive. On the day itself, everything ran perfectly, the service was flawless, and the food looked and tasted wonderful. We have only ever had really good times at Blas and we look forward to going back.
12/08/2017: Late breakfast in a place that grows on us every time we visit it. Lovely friendly staff nothing is too much trouble. Good service excellent food and coffee ☕️ at a reasonable price too. We will be back!!
