Stables

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
08/12/2019: Lovely hidden away restaurant set back into the castle walls. Food was outstanding with a special mention to the Venison which melted in the mouth. A lovely, unhurried air only added to welcoming atmosphere and was a nice change to the often rush rush feeling you get in so many restaurants these days. Highly recommend to all that visit Tenby.
17/11/2019: We came here a few days after the restaurants reopening and had a thoroughly great evening.

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
26/12/2019: Super little coffee bar and snacks, crab sandwiches and pastries. Lovely friendly staff, what's not to like? Only problem, it gets full.
18/11/2019: Everything was fine - lovely little place. Owner/barman pleasant and chatty. Very cosy. No idea why the review insists on 100 charcters

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
19/01/2020: Yet again, ANOTHER fabulous meal at this, our favourite restaurant. Two dishes new to us, this visit, the Skate salad starter and the Expresso Cheesecake dessert. Absolutely DELICIOUS. The Mains were up to the usual standard ... very very high ! You will never regret visiting this gem of a restaurant. Also, worthy of mention, is the great welcome by front of house staff, Steve and Helen.
11/01/2020: The food is always of high standard here, however not always to my taste. However lovely to try new things and the lunch time menu is fantastic value for money . Choice of 3 starter, mains and desserts for £16.50/£20.50 dependent on 2 or 3 courses, Tuesdays to Saturdays i believe.

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
09/01/2020: Being unimpressed with Bluestone Resorts food options we decided to head out to a local pub for a decent meal. Well this is more than a pub and more than decent! We were lucky to be some of the first guests to try out their new menu, and we struggled for ages to choose from the options given, as all were so good. I eventually chose the black pudding scotch egg, and my partner the chicken liver for starters, and I had the mussels and my partner the Lamb shank for main. My only complaint was too much food! Not too much that it puts you off, but the portions will fill any sized and hunger full person gauranteed. I had a kilo of mussels! They were portions of beautifully cooked food to perfection, that generated a groan of delight from each mouthful from my partner, possibly to other guests distaste, but he genuinely couldn't help himself! The scotch egg is possibly the best thing I have ever and will ever eat. The bar man (possibly the owner?) and the waitress were 5* customer service and the pub itself full of art and crafts to gaze your eyes at. My partner is not easy to impress but this ticked every one of his boxes. Thank You! .... Oh! and the prices! I don't want to say 'cheap' as the food was such a high standard, but it was worth far more than we paid for. We spent £50 ish for two course meal for two and a drink each. Best value for money I've ever experienced in a meal.
09/12/2019: You know what to expect when you book the Brewery for Sunday lunch, or any time for that matter. Great food and great service is almost taken for granted and safe to say that yesterday was no exception. Even though they were busy the high standards were maintained in all areas. We both chose Turkey Sunday roast and this was just terrific and served nice and hot. Both the locally sourced meat and veg were spot on and we even took some turkey home for the dog as we couldn’t clear our plates.

Blas Restaurant at Twr y Felin

St. David's, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
17/01/2020: Wonderful. Beautiful meal and attentive staff. Thank you
15/12/2019: Well – so much to say. Chef didn’t seem to know the difference between rare lamb and raw lamb. Portions are stupidly small, even for fine dining. The staff were very nice – but what they are required to do is very pretentious. For the record we ate at Cwtch before it closed, and more recently The Shed in Porthgain, Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers and Tom Kitchin’s Southside Scran in Edinburgh.

Amroth Arms Restuarant

Amroth, Pembrokeshire, <20£
12/01/2020: Nicely decorated, good location and friendly staff. Food was ok. We had sunday lunch, beef was unavailable so I had lamb. Veg and roasties were very nice but the Lamb was over cooked and very chewy. Deserts were very good.
02/01/2020: We came here for dinner on a saturday night. It was busy but we were able to get a lovely table by the fire and both had the steak and ale pie which came recommended. It was definitely homemade, was really delicious and the portions were huge!

Calon Cafe and Interiors

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
16/01/2020: Best ever Christmas do dinner we have had as a company. The food was outstanding, the service was brilliant, we weren’t left to wait for any course despite other parties being there as well. Nothing was any trouble for the staff. Can’t praise them enough!!
07/01/2020: Have been to Pethau Da both for lunch and various coffees with & without cake over the last few months having recently moved to the Carmarthen area. The lunches are super, but our favourite is the home made scotch egg ( we are lightweights and have to share one) with all the fabulous salads - scrummy. A lovely relaxed atmosphere, good food & good service every time.

The Forest Arms

Llanegwad, Carmarthenshire
19/01/2020: Had a meal here on a Sunday evening , it was quite and the staff were very friendly and helpful as we weren't from the area. The food was yummy and lovely big portions. Would highly recommend.
14/01/2020: Visited the Forest Arms as a group of 47 local Young Farmers Club members for our Christmas Party. The size of the group was no problem for George and his staff as we had pre-ordered our meals. We received a very warm welcome, the food was excellent and the portions were generous. The Forest Arms has a very relaxing atmosphere and we all enjoyed our evening socialising and having fun.

13/01/2020: Stayed here for a work trip here in November and it was wonderful and amazingly priced! Also got to sample the incredible ice cream
19/11/2019: I adore this shop. Been there numerous times. The couple that own it are so helpful. Great to be able to have a small sample before you buy...this has allowed me to experience many new gins and spirits. It is truly a delight shopping here. Cant recommend it enough. Already planning my next visit. Well worth a visit.

04/01/2020: Family friendly pub, we just stopped for drinks but it was so Christmassy, staff friendly and lovely to see a children welcome sign on the door. Going to eat next time we visit
02/01/2020: Wow. What beautiful food. I had the fish and chips for the main course and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, both were absolutely delicious. Service was good and the pub itself had a nice environment. Highly recommended, I would definitely return.

The Nags Head

Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire
17/01/2020: Enjoyed a meal that was tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. Beef Lasagne and Beef Madras ... cleared plates ... followed by home made spiced apple sorbet and Celtic crunch ice cream ... absolutely delicious .... so much so, booked for tomorrow night!
01/01/2020: We were here twice during our annual visit to the area. Ownership has changed in the last year but quality of food and service is still great. We had a lovely Sunday lunch as a group of 8 which was delicious and then another dinner where the staff were very accommodating making a couple of changes for my daughter. The place was busy and we did book on both occasions and had two very enjoyable meals. Highly recommended.
