Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
18/12/2017: Great place for bikers. Low priced food. Good parking and known by 90% of the biker community
04/12/2017: Motorcyclist.. The best meeting place. Should be more popular.

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
16/01/2018: We went there for my daughters 21st & 16th special meal. I am local but have never eaten here. We had a very warm welcome by the hosts, and they couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent, puddings the best sticky toffee pudding ! 10/10 for both. Lovely feel, very warm and clean. Would go again without hestiation. Thanks you for a lovely evening.
13/01/2018: We have been living in Pembrokeshire for about a year and were yet to find a nice country pub with good food - but we have now found that!! The Brewery has a great atmosphere, and lovely decor but without losing tradition features. The food was delicious, great range of choices, large portions and very tasty! The service was fab and we will definitely be back!!

The Nags Head

Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire
03/01/2018: We are local to this pub and decided to have an evening meal. Very disappointing overpriced and potions were not enough to fill a robin. Would not recommend for a hearty Welsh pub.
28/12/2017: We visited while on holiday after reading good reviews. The staff were lovely and the food was very good. I had the lamb which was melt in the mouth followed by the chocolate mousse which was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
22/12/2017: What a fantastic little place should be on George Clarks amazing spaces. We only had ice creams so can not comment on the menu but its a truly great place to pop in and grab somthing great use of an old arch which has not been use in fifty years.
21/11/2017: Tucked away in one of the arches near the harbour in Tenby. So unusual. Friendly staff and the white hot chocolate was amazing. Would recommend

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
14/01/2018: Second visit to this restaurant, the first was sometime ago and was excellent, so this visit had a lot to live up to. It did not disappoint FANTASTIC, from the minute we walked in to when we left. The staff were lovely, we hadn’t booked and one member of the family is gluten intolerant, not an issue for the restaurant. We all had something different and all meals were beautiful both in presentation and taste. As other reviews state the bread is fantastic. Can’t wait to go back... Sunday lunch next time.
06/01/2018: We have been going to this restaurant for a number of years and they really have got it just right in my opinion. It never fails to please and is the favourite when our grandson comes to visit us. Never too pushy, just friendly and efficient with those added little touches that makes it feel personal, special and a real treat. The regular staff here always make it memorable ..thanks!

Pachamama Bistro

Cenarth, Carmarthenshire, <20£
19/12/2017: Had the root veg soup, delicious. Cosy, comfortable venue for a delicious lunch. Reasonable variety on menu
25/10/2017: Wish we had the opportunity to visit here more often. You could easily pass this place by if it didn't catch your eye. Small and cosy. The menu is exotic home made wholesome food generously served. You probably need to book to avoid disappointment. Nothing worse than walking in, smelling the food and not finding room. Mouth watering and very varied meals entice in those in the know. Looking forward to going again.

The Canteen

Newport, Pembrokeshire
05/12/2017: Being a Saturday night in December we didn't think we would need to book...wrong!!The place was full at 715pm! However, the staff were very helpful and ensured we would have a table if we came back in an hour.So glad we did! The pizza and salads were first class and the staff could not do enough and were attentive throughout! Cannot wait to go back....thank you !
03/12/2017: Called in on a week night and very glad we did ! Lovely atmosphere as always shared a gluten free pizza which is a first for me - I always expect gluten free options to be disappointing but not at the Canteen ! It was excellent, extremely tasty and cooked to perfection.

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
14/01/2018: Tried in here for a table at 6 30 the place was absolutely rammed which was a good sign, could not get a table and asked to come back in half hour. When we went back was shown to our table and a friendly face working there Ziad who I've known a long time. Gave us free Pompadoms and chutney tray which was nice to start. When handed the menu thought the prices were quite expensive for where we was not in a city restaurant. All in all lovely restaurant nice staff not bad food but would not rush to go back.
09/01/2018: We often attend here as a family, always great service and wonderful food! We have never been disappointed and can not recommend enough.

Wavecrest Cafe

Pembroke: St. Mary North, Pembrokeshire
12/11/2017: We visited this cafe a couple of times and loved it. Good choice of food, freshly made. The fish chowder is really popular and sells out quickly, but everything we had was good. Serves alcohol which is a bonus and there's plenty of seating outside if you have a dog. The people working there really seem to enjoy what they are doing and take pride in their food and service.
11/11/2017: An unexpected and very pleasant experience right out on the coast. It is a lovely café the food was great as were the staff, have booked for Sunday lunch. During the winter it is open on Friday, Saturday and Sundays and make sure you book for a Sunday lunch on the Friday or Saturday beforehand.

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
05/01/2018: We went as a group of 8 for lunch and we were all delighted with what we had. Service was quick and friendly and the food was fresh and wholesome. We have eaten here several times and it is always spot on.
04/12/2017: My husband and I ate here on 2 days of our long weekend break in Newport. Both times were mid/late afternoon. It was warm & welcoming with a fire burning. On our first visit we both had the mushrooms with poached eggs. Yum! The coffee is lovely (and I'm a fussy coffee drinker)! On the second visit I had a slice of apple & cinnamon cake and hubby had the welsh cawl (he was hungry!). Both were delicious. The place is dog friendly too. We'll most definitely come back here next time we're in Newport.

The Shed Bistro

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
18/01/2018: After a lovely walk at the blue lagoon we stoped here and was greeted by a packed restaurant. Luckily the fantastic gentleman found us a spot and even with the place being so full we were served quickly. The food was beautiful, not a greasy cod like most places. We can’t wait to come again and taste the rest of the menu, thank you.
14/01/2018: We were made welcome before we even opened the door, with the hostess giving us a big smile. We were seated immediately, then moved without asking to a warmer spot as it was a cold day. Being busy, yet knowing what your customers would like is great service.Food came out in great time and was deliciously fresh and tasty. The curry sauce was recommended and I know why. Gorgeous. The best thing, neither of us had that weighted sleepy feeling you often get with fish and chips. I recommend you pay a visit here

Tafarn Morlais

Llangennech, Carmarthenshire
12/01/2018: Lunchtime New Year's Eve, table for 8 and 2 children. Full menu offered and nothing too much trouble to accommodate the younger people's choices. Various dishes chosen and all delivered with a smile. Extra cutlery no problem. Everyone happy with their meal and not rushed to leave the table despite a very busy evening ahead for the staff. Family reunion thoroughly enjoyed with the help of this establishment. Would recommend.
05/01/2018: Came here as a group and booked in advance. Were shown promptly to our table on arrival. The guy who dealt won us (owner) said to give him a wave when we were ready to order. Really busy with most the tables taken but when we got his attention we were seen to. Food wasn’t long coming out, all of us ordered steaks cooked differently for mains and they all came out cooked to perfection. Lovely food, good portions, good price and nice atmosphere. Brought some people that had never been here before and they all said they would come back. Thanks. Little disappointed we were told NHS staff had 20% when I booked but we only had 10% off when we went to pay????

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
12/01/2018: We’ve been to the Mulberry many times in the previous years. The food is usually good and it was also good this time. However, charging an extra £1.50 for a tiny scoop of ice cream to accompany a sticky toffee pudding is extortionate especially as most restaurants serve this pudding with ice cream/custard/cream etc as a given (and considering we were spending £40-50 on the lunch anyway). This is a shame as we usually love eating here, but it might make us look elsewhere next time.
11/01/2018: This is a lovely place, the surroundings are great and the staff are really pleasant. The menu isn't huge but it doesn't need to be as it has a great selection. The wine list is also excellent.

Blue Ball Restaurant

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire, >100£
04/01/2018: This was our first time in the Blue Ball although we've visited Tenby on numerous occasions and had been let down by our usual venue so were a little apprehensive. We were shown to a table for 2 by the fireplace which was a nice spot with plenty of space for other people to pass by without disturbance. The starter was very nice, pork croquette with crackling and an apple sauce - a very generous and tasty portion each. The fish dish was also very tasty and we asked for the main course to be delayed until we were ready as we needed some breathing space - this was no problem at all and after about 20 mins, we indicated that we were now ready. The fillet steaks we had ordered were superb!! I had raised an eyebrow that we didn't have steak knives but needn't have been concerned as we didn't need them, the meat was so tender that it cut through like butter. The steaks were both medium cooked to perfection as were the vegetables and butter bean mash - the flavours were unbelievable!!Desert very nice, chocolate Amaretto pot & an orange, lemon mousse followed by Irish coffee - MMMmmmm!! Well done to all the staff & thank you!!
02/01/2018: Visited again after a gap of several years - should have gone back sooner! Delicious food (duck was beautiful) and very friendly service. Very nice atmosphere and didn’t feel rushed even though we took our time as we wereNattering quite a lot. Will return again soon.

ali raj

Glanymor, Carmarthenshire, 20-30£
12/01/2018: Easy to park and a friendly welcome. The meal itself was simply outstanding , served in good time and all together. The food was hot and extremely tasty with great portion size and the service was attentive without being over the top. I am at a loss to find any fault , great service , outstanding food and at a reasonable price. The decor is really nice with background music which is not loud and allows for conversation around the table. Without doubt the best for this type of cuisine in the area.
11/01/2018: Food beautiful as ever. Customer service good could do with little tweaks in some staff but overall good. Reasonably priced . Overall lovely meal
