27/07/2018: stunning bikers place to meet mind liked bikers ...cracking food ...warm welcome always a good ride up to this cafe ...everyone should add this place to their bucket list would not be disappointed
15/07/2018: After a long drive to Llandovery in order to drive the A4069 (Black Mountain Rd) with some car club friends, a rest stop was needed with food high on the agenda. I’d researched and had put the Owls Nest Tea Room Diner on the itinerary for breakfast. What a great choice! Perfect location, great food, lovely latte, friendly staff and a welcome loo. So if you are planning a trip to this neck of the woods, make sure you pop by here as you will not be disappointed. Oh and awesome to see the many cars & bikes coming and going too

Blas at Fronlas

Newport, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
15/08/2018: My friend and I were walking the coast path, and got caught in the rain in goodwick and there was no where to stay in the area except for this place in Newport. We arrived and the owner was very welcoming and showed us up to our room. The beds were very comfy (especially after having slept in a tent for the past few days) and the shared bathroom was clean and wonderful. The B&B; is situated just opposite a spar and up the road from a pharmacy. Newport is also just a wonderful little town! Breakfast was included in our stay and we were very pleased with our choices, eggs on toast with salmon and a full breakfast plus coffee. The place was obviously popular with locals and travellers alike. I will definitely visit again one day!!
09/08/2018: Excellent food served in the rear sunny garden. Really friendly staff and very fast service.... always helpful when you have young children with you. Many thanks

The Brewery Inn Cosheston

Lamphey, Pembrokeshire
16/08/2018: Had been recommended the Brewery Inn by friends who have recently moved to the area. Reading the reviews and it sounded too good to be true but we booked in for Sunday lunch anyway
11/08/2018: We booked up three days ahead and were lucky to get in. Such is the quality of the fare on offer, the Brewery Inn has a real reputation for great food with locals, and now with Trip Advisor, all visitors! The beer was an excellent local brew and the grey mullet outstanding. Check out the specials board- they really are worth exploring. The service was unobtrusive, polite and efficient and the food was brilliant- really can’t fault anything

Wavecrest Cafe

Pembroke: St. Mary North, Pembrokeshire
15/08/2018: A lovely cafe next to the beach. We had the excellent crab salad and a selection of the lovely homemade cakes. No nuts used on site, which helps when you're travelling with people with allergies. Highly recommended.
13/08/2018: We were staying locally and had driven to west angle on a whim to see if the beach was any good, it was! but more importantly this lovely little cafe was nestled right on the edge of the beach. The children's menu was good value and there was more than enough choice to keep our children happy, they had good sized jackets with a mound of tuna mayo / cheese, whilst #3 child had a tuna sandwich which had so much filling it oozed out of the bread! We both fancied he seafood chowder alas they only had 1 portion left which I bagged whilst my husband settled for the leek and cheese tart (no hardship as everything on the specials menu sounded fab) The portion sizes were huge. My jug of chowder arrived with plenty of crusty bread for dunking and was absolutely divine. The cakes looked awesome but we were too full to indulge so will def be back again to sample them. If you are in the area make sure you visit this fab cafe!

The Butchers Arms

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire
25/08/2018: Had a meal here with friends last night and will definitely be visiting again. This is now our new favourite place to eat. Lots of menu choices.
25/08/2018: En route to St Davids and need lunch, stopped here by chance. What a wonderful surprise!

The stowaway coffee co.

19/08/2018: Amazing coffee's and hot chocolate, super friendly staff. Incredibly welcoming, warm and cosy atmosphere. The food and drink tastes fab and it's dog and child friendly! Tables have books and games to interest all audiences!highly recommended. Visited many times, always superb.
18/08/2018: A lovely place to relax and rest with a lovely coffee. Crab sandwich was awesome. Nice atmosphere staff friend. If in Tenby make sure u give it a go

Y Polyn

Llanddarog, Carmarthenshire, 30-45£
27/08/2018: I have been to Y Polyn a few times before as used to live local to the area.
27/08/2018: Having been brought up in the area and never eaten here, I decided to take my family for a meal and put the reputation of Y Polyn to the test. The result was pleasing and we all loved the quality of food. The service was good and the steaks, fish and belly pork main courses were excellent . We will be back . Well done Y Polyn

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
19/08/2018: I have been to a fair few curry houses but this is one of the best. Food fresh and beautifully cooked. Friendly staff and very good prices. Would highly recommend to anyone.
09/08/2018: This is. our favourite takeaway venu. The food always comes within half hour and is always full of flavour and hot

Gianni's Ice Cream

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
19/08/2018: Amazing ice cream. A holiday to West Wales is not complete without an ice cream from here. An excellent selection to choose from. Will definitely return next year, can’t wait 🍦🍨
19/08/2018: Amazing Ice cream and such a choice of flavours. Portion sizing was large and I would say the price was inexpensive for the size and quality of the cones and ice cream. Nice seating area outside if you want to rest while enjoying.

Ginhaus deli

Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire
12/08/2018: Turned up at 12-30. Had seating indoors. Can get busy.
29/07/2018: Despite a blustery day - lovely atmosphere, live music & great gin! We tasted local cheese in the deli, listened to music & enjoyed Welsh gin!

Sue's pantry saundersfoot

Saundersfoot, Pembrokeshire
13/08/2018: Wanted some sandwiches to take away to the beach. They had run out but were baking more bread. Thirty minutes later we were munching away on the most delicious baguettes ever. The bread was the best I have eaten in a long time. Can certainly recommend.
13/08/2018: We look forward to visiting this shop every time we go to Tenby. Everything is fresh, and lovely. Place is spotless clean and the owner is a really lovely lady. Even our little dog knows how good the place is,she won’t walk past without us getting her some cake pieces. Would recommend this place to everyone. They even make Gluten-free cakes,so caters for everyone.

The Shed Bistro

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
18/08/2018: Second visit here and it’s always gorgeous food. The restaurant had actually forgotten our booking, so we had to sit and wait for 30mins, however they made sure we were ok and were very apologetic. The staff are very friendly and it makes such a difference. In fact, they paid for our round of drinks we had whilst waiting which was a lovely gesture.
18/08/2018: Lovely fresh fish, as you would hope being only 10 meters from the sea. The fish and chips is delicious and the a la carte menu was exceptional too. Staff were friendly and really enhance the experience. We had two fantastic meals here.

The Nags Head

Cilgerran, Pembrokeshire
19/08/2018: Booked a table on a busy Saturday night. Welcomed by a beautiful pub with a lovely atmosphere. Quite a wait for food, but an apology was given for the delay. The food was worth the wait, everyone very pleased with their meals.
18/08/2018: Popped in for a couple of drinks on a Sunday night, checked on website for opening hours which was 11 PM closing. Did not arrive until 10.20 PM and was told it was last orders. At 10.45 a part full glass was attempted to be collected and it was made obvious he wanted us to leave. Was a great pub and very friendly, these owners do not have the same attitude, we would have gone the next day or two for six meals, money lost and any future trade from us. Most disappointed, will not bother returning.

Bryngwyn Newydd

Hengoed, Carmarthenshire
18/08/2018: What can I say! 4 perfect meals and not one complaint... we have visited loads of times and it never disappoints. Lovely friendly staff too
12/08/2018: Called in on the hop midweek and after a short wait we were given a table . Food arrived and was very nice but a couple of minor things have stopped me giving a higher rating . Firstly the lovely waitress who had long hair kept a teatowel over her shoulder which she would use to pick things up inevitably I had one of her hairs on my plate , not a big deal because I am not the soft type so I pulled it off the plate and carried on with my garlic mushroom steak which was lovely . The other thing was somebody had brought a fag butt in on their shoe and the male server instead of picking it up would try and kick it out of sight every time he walked passed it lol . But we will return and I would recommend

The Mill

Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire
18/08/2018: We ended up coming here 3 times in our week stay in Mathry as the breakfast here is amazing. Never had cockles and laver bread for breakfast but it's changed my life. A lot of breakfasts give you that heavy greasy feeling afterwards but certainly not this treat. Wholly recommended. Go Welsh breakfast or go home.
17/08/2018: Staying just down the road in Mathry we came to The Mill twice during our weeks stay. Really lovely little cafe with a friendly welcome. The Welsh breakfast is fantastic, the cockles in particular were beautiful! A must eat of you're in the area or worth travelling for if you're not!
