Poco Poco

Morfa, Bridgend, >100£
02/12/2018: I think this is the best restaurant in Bridgend by far, and that’s not only my opinion as they have won many awards.
25/11/2018: Food lovely and a good variety of dishes on menu. Reasonable prices good service and staff friendly Will return

Beales Fish and Chip Restaurant

Porthcawl East Central, Bridgend
11/12/2018: I've had both take away and I've eaten in the restaurant. Great fish and lovely chips. Their faggots are good too.
11/12/2018: My family visit Beales Chip Shop regularly. The service is outstanding, the food is excellent and the new restaurant upstairs is fantastic. Gareth, Ann-Marie and the entire family work so hard to keep up the traditional style which is why after 3 generations it is still going strong, well done all at Beales!

Zia Nina

Morfa, Bridgend, 20-30£
02/12/2018: Returned after a long break and something is different, improvements in service, welcome, heat of food and quality. Like it's under new management, excellent value for money, taste. Loved it.
01/12/2018: Fantastic Friendly, warm, attentive service. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious, large potions and fairly priced. Went about 3 years ago and in my opinion it was much improved, if you haven’t been for a while, give it another go. I will be returning again soon.

The Nicholls Arms

Aberkenfig, Bridgend
08/12/2018: Decided to give the Nicholls a try as not visited since new people taken over.
05/11/2018: We walked in as a party of four with a dog, and were shown a well placed table in the bar area (due to the dog), close to the roaring fire.

Bryntirion, Laleston and Merthyr Mawr, Bridgend
18/09/2018: Great Service, food was home cooked and well presented. Very tasty. Good potions too. We have booked for Xmas.
26/06/2018: Cracking Tuesday evening at the Reybah George was brilliant keeping the drinks flowing and on a Tuesday they do a Tapas deal buy 3 dishes and get one free. All dishes freshly cooked and great value for money cannot recommend enough. Will definitely be returning.

Caeffatri Bar & Grill

Morfa, Bridgend, <20£
13/11/2018: I can’t comment on the menu generally as we went for a groupon meal, which was steak. Standard of meat was poor, very tough. Not an enjoyable meal. Made us think from looking at reviews which are good, that they’d bought in very cheap meat for the groupon, either that or it was a bad batch. Serving Staff are very polite and helpful. Won’t right the place off completely as we live in the area, might one day try something off their regular menu
11/11/2018: Great place. Excellent, hardworking staff, Pleasant atmosphere and delicious food. Very accommodating aswell; My little family of 3 were very comfortable! Thanks all.

Ashoka Indian restaurant

Oldcastle, Bridgend
24/11/2018: We have been here several times in the past year since moving to Bridgend and we brought my parents here this evening. Fabulous food and wonderful service. Incredibly friendly.
06/11/2018: Great food, authentic recipes, attentive service. Warm welcoming atmosphere but very busy weekend nights, so book. We are regular visitors and were rather disappointed at recent price hikes.

The Masons Arms

Bryncethin, Bridgend
21/11/2018: met family here with some small children all enjoyed the food I especially liked the steak and ale pie the children tucked into pasta and meatballs nice meal
05/11/2018: Its been a while since we visited the Masons Arms and am I glad we did - we were met by really friendly staff not just one but all of them - place still has its charm and although we had to sit in the Conservatory because we booked late it was still a lovely experience but will book early next time to sit in the beautiful restaurant. Our Sunday roast came with all the trimmings and it was the best Sunday dinner I have tasted for a very long time when dining out - no hesitation to top up our gravy boat and the meal was soooo tasty: Won't be leaving it so long before visiting you again.

Porthcawl West Central, Bridgend
17/12/2018: Always go here before we go to the Grand Pavilion. Prompt friendly service. Good reasonably priced food. Convivial atmosphere. What more does one want.
17/12/2018: Great seafood and meat lovely setting Very expensive but a treat none the less i would go back but would recommend the less expensive lunch menu as the evening menu is similar but higher in price, portions could be bigger especially the scallops starter

The Rock inn

Porthcawl West Central, Bridgend
28/10/2018: Good welcome by staff, we pre ordered the food and was served very quickly on arrival and the food was excellent.
24/10/2018: Had a meal here this evening, the food was excellent, and a lot of it being made onsite. Desserts are all homemade with excellent flavours and presentation, staff are so niceaswell!... being a chef I'm so hard to please very rarely eat out because of this haha but will definitely return. Top marks from me!

Louchi's Tearoom

Maesteg West, Bridgend
07/11/2018: Love going here for a meet up with the girls, staff very friendly, good home cooked food, good breakfast choice and not bad prices.
12/10/2018: For months I have been hearing about this quaint tea room in Maesteg that serves the best afternoon tea, so as a birthday celebration I booked a high tea for the family.

Porthcawl West Central, Bridgend
12/12/2018: This place is fantastic - friendly service, utterly delicious food, and rock bottom prices. Decor is a bit of a time-warp but has charming appeal. Best restaurant in the area by a long shot, and the cheapest by far.
02/12/2018: Visited with friends after a visit to The Grand Pavilion. We normally use this restaurant for takeaways which are always excellent. We haven’t had a sit down meal in here for a while and the menu is your standard Indian Restaurant menu. The service was efficient and friendly and the waiters were good fun. The quality of the food and pricing is top quality and I don’t think you’ll find a better Indian Restaurant anywhere.

Bridgend Balti House

Morfa, Bridgend
14/09/2018: Same old review of this place. Food is fantastic. Keep going back and it is always good. We love them.
19/08/2018: had a takeaway Saturday evening, ordered tandoori chicken which was so over cooked and dry it was inedible, the garlic rice had so many very large pieces or raw garlic it was awful and there were about 15 pieces of raw onions on top of the chicken , it was not very nice at all. I have in the past had a few very good takeaways from there but not on Saturday , and it has put me off ordering from there again

Astons Traditional Fish and Chips

Morfa, Bridgend
02/10/2018: our first visit here , very clean , & very friendly food was very tasty too definately be revisiting .
21/09/2018: Told 1hr 45 mins for delivery, rang at 1hr45mins told another 30mins min, absolute joke, we had ordered at 5pm, there was children's meals included in the order, I would have at least expected a call to say if they had delivery issues seeing as children were waiting for food. Pure disregard for customers.
