15/12/2018: Why have we only just discovered this little gem, having passed so many times? Pleasant and welcoming, great food, great service and good value. We will definitely be calling again. So pleased to have discovered this place.
12/12/2018: We dropped in for a quick snack lunch with two small children. Excellent food, especially the homemade soup. The staff were very welcoming and tolerant of our toddlers. Coming next time for an evening meal. Thanks

Cross Foxes

Marchwiel, Wrexham, <20£
14/12/2018: We had booked in for a Lunch as our team Christmas Dinner. The restaurant was tidy, warm and very pleasant. The food was lovely, hot and tasty. There was a good selection of food, starters we consumed were Leek and Potato Soup, Venison Faggot, Smoked Trout, Cornish Brie and Pork and Stuffing Terrine. Then Turkey, Beef, Fish Curry and Pheasant Kiev. Then there were deserts which were Xmas Pudding, Lemon Cheesecake and Chocolate Tart. Everyone enjoyed the courses that they had. The service was great and the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. This was all in a very pleasant setting alongside the river Dee. We will visit again as a couple.
12/12/2018: I like the fact that B&P; restaurants have fairly similar menus and standards. The Cross Foxes is a beautiful setting, right on the river and we were really pleased to find a table as we'd not booked ahead. The service was really good and the staff were lovely. The food was served fairly quickly and was excellent, hot and very tasty.

Nags Head

Rossett, Wrexham, >100£
08/12/2018: Nice pub, friendly helpful staff, good beer, clean but I'm sorry to say that the meal I had was tasteless. I had the Lamb burger and chips. The chips were nice but the burger was the most tasteless I've ever had, plus it was priced quite high.
05/12/2018: We came here for a meal on a Wednesday evening and there was 16 of us from work. We had pre ordered our food and were welcomed on arrival and showed to our table. Barry and his team were very efficient and despite us throwing in a curveball and ordering a load of deserts that weren’t expected everything went to plan.

Jones's Fish & Chip Shops

Smithfield, Wrexham
19/10/2018: Had hearty breakfast £5.99 plus to mugs tea 80p each very good food great service friendly staff clean and tidy love the mushrooms
16/10/2018: Best fish, chips and peas I've ever had anywhere. Food is always freshly cooked, it's has to be the queues are out the door in the evening. Don't be put off by that, the service is quick due to the amount of friendly staff they have on. Portions are probably slightly smaller than other chippies but that's more than reflected in the price. Where else can you get fish, chips and peas for a fiver, or less if you get the small chips! The only downside is they are only open on Thursday and Friday evenings, focusing mainly on their daytime trade.

Old No. 7 Bar & Grill

Offa, Wrexham
11/11/2018: Myself and my friend went to Old No 7 a year ago for a girls night, the food was delicious the service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. A candlelit table surrounded with exposed wooden beams, rustic looking decor and lots of quirky little touches. We were suitable impressed, I recently returned with my Fiancé to find the food was equally as nice, the service just as good and the atomosphere even better and they have added live music downstairs which was a nice surprise once we’d finished our meals. The cocktails are good I wish we’d had more time to try them all.
29/09/2018: Arrived just as they opened, service quick and friendly, offered seats before dinner. Service efficient and friendly. Moved to dinner area when relevant. Service and food second to none. Would definitely return. Thanks for best food/service in a long time.

Caffi Hazel

Coedpoeth, Wrexham
07/10/2018: What a little gem this Caffi Hazel is. Found on Google Maps and was very happy.
23/08/2018: Me my friend and our kids came here for lunch. The food is like homemade comfort food. Love it. Our babies loved it also. You can buy the big cakes to take away, which my other friend does haha. The reason I give a four is that the cafe is too small. Feel like you take over when you bring your buggies in. This place is definitely worth a visit in our little town

Pant Yr Ochan

Gresford East and West, Wrexham, 30-45£
17/12/2018: Went for a birthday lunch for our sister who is in a wheelchair, plenty of room for her, very friendly and attentive staff. Food excellent, atmosphere wonderful wouldn’t hesitate to recommend looking forward to returning if we are in the area.
16/12/2018: We had booked which was a good job as the place was very busy. We had a good table in the smaller room past the open log fire. Service and food was all good, we had a Christmas Lunch, 2 x Beef & Pork Roasts and a beef roast, starters or nibbles and puddings. All went down a treat and we left as happy diners.
