Tomatitos Tapas Bar

Hay, Powys
14/04/2019: This is an amazing bar and restaurant with lovely food, fantastic beer & wine and great staff. There is a fantastic atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
11/04/2019: Brilliant place Excellent food Very friendly The food was tasty and well cooked Good selection of wines but settled for beer Will visit again perhaps regularly!

Tower House Gallery

Knighton, Powys, <20£
24/03/2019: Popped by at the end of a long day. Sandwich, soup and drinks. A perfect meal, everything cooked to a high standard; simple textures and taste. Would make a long detour to come here. Superb.
05/03/2019: Good home made food. Large variety of teas and coffee. Comfortable and friendly. Also a wide variety of gifts, including a good local artist gallery, linen, books and many useful and decorative items. Really worth a visit! Dog friendly.

Rich Way Cafe

St. Mary, Powys
10/02/2019: Popped in for a quick lunch today. Lovely food cooked to order, good portions, good value, well cooked and piping hot. Very friendly lady, we'll be back.
03/02/2019: Went in for breakfast and a lady came in with her dog. The girl serving went over to the dog and started stroking it and then never washed her hands. When we finally got our food, I found a dog hair on the plate. Absolutely disgusting. And she spent most of the time before starting to cook our food talking to the other customers

Traveller's Rest inn

Talybont-on-Usk, Powys
15/03/2019: An absolutely fantastic meal! I don't ever recollect such a taste tantalising meal in the whole of my life, all the flavours just melded together perfectly. Joy is a lovely hostess and made our evening personal and even more of an occasion. The food was honest and special - a lovely end to our few days away. Go! You will not be disappointed. This is my first TripAdvisor review.
18/11/2018: My wife and 2 friends have just had a lovey Sunday lunch at Traveller's. we have stayed

The Bank bar & kitchen

St. Mary, Powys, <20£
18/04/2019: We went out with friends from Brecon, luckily we had booked a table as The Bank was really busy - even on a Wednesday night. We arrived at 7.30, ordered our food about 10 mins later and it took about fifty minutes for it to arrive. When it came it was nicely presented, perfectly cooked, it had plenty of taste and was excellent 'pub grub'.
17/04/2019: very nice family meal the food was lovely very reasonable priced would recommend to family and friends staff very nice

The Lime Crab

New Quay, Ceredigion
15/04/2019: We ordered seafood platters, for approx 11 pounds each. The fish was fresh, tasty and well cooked (some pieces a bit too cooked, so warn them if you want them less dark). The quantity is a bit short, if ordered without chips, and they have no alternative to chips. I found it a bit expensive, taking into account that for that price one can sit down in a proper table in other places.
04/04/2019: Really good choice of fried fish including scampi, cod, prawns, mackerel etc. They also had fried haloumi for vegetarians. We ate at the tables outside but there were lots of wasps buzzing around so I’d recommend taking your fish n chips round the corner to the harbour wall to eat where the view is great.

Castle Green

Lampeter, Ceredigion
13/04/2019: Quite simply the best Sunday Lunch in Lampeter and probably the best I have ever had. Everything was perfect, not a single thing I could complain about. Seriously, if you're in Lampeter on a Sunday and you're not eating here, you're missing out!
24/03/2019: Searched Trip Advisor for a good old Sunday Carvery in Lampeter and found this little gem. We hadn’t booked but were given a truly lovely welcome. The carvery was delicious and all plates were cleared. Fab little place.

Aberaeron, Ceredigion, <20£
19/04/2019: Disappointing meal! Choice of restaurant menu was bad, no welsh lamb or beef on menu, only duck or pork. Easter weekend in the heart of Wales, you would expect to see lamb! Duck and pork when served was salty, £4 surplus for chips and veg. Well over priced for the standard of food received. Will not be returning.
18/04/2019: Good online booking and wine list, but expensive and (for our meal) it felt a little 'end of session'. We arrived mid-afternoon, and the welcome and setting were good. However, the meal itself was very Sunday lunch-esque and the beef rather stringy (indeed, we felt we had to send one portion back) - which they dealt with well. Overall, nothing much wrong, but no great heights either.

The Old Ford Inn

Talybont-on-Usk, Powys, >100£
15/04/2019: Visited on Friday for lunch to celebrate my 60th , great food very good service and gorgeous surroundings and views of the brecon beacons , we had roast of the day ,beef to die for followed by apple pie and custard absolutely lovely , definately going again when in the area , would highly recommend.
13/04/2019: In the Brecon Beacons for a weekend away, on our first night we had a disappointing meal at a different Brecon top-rated pub. Determined that there must be good food available in the area we thought we’d give the Old Ford Inn a try, and our hunch was proved correct.

St John's Place

Hay, Powys
18/04/2019: A small restaurant, with ordinary, plain tables and chairs ....decor wise , pretty uninspired.............BUT THEN ......STUNNING, STUNNING ,STUNNING FOOD and 1st class service.........which is what it's really all about. Don't expect a huge menu, but what they do is absolutely delicious. You are be advised to book. It was busy all evening.Wine seems to come straight from the cask, and pretty good. Local beer was delicious.
17/04/2019: Ampia scelta di snack da bar, pochi, ed originali nella combinazione degli ingredienti, i piatti. Buono il piatto di pesce con gamberi e nasello ma la,carne non era da meno. Ottimo il dessert

Pengarreg Bar and Lounge

Llanrhystyd, Ceredigion
16/04/2019: Had a lovely Sunday lunch after some golf with the kids. Very helpful and friendly staff. Puddings were really good too. Will definitely return. Kids got to go for a swim after which was a bonus!
17/03/2019: Called in on the off chance we could get a table and they got us straight in. Although judging how busy it got it's probably advisable to book. It was a carvery, plenty of choice and lots of it and absolutely delicious. We will definitely go again next year when we come for our weekend away.

Abduls Tandori Spice

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion
13/04/2019: This place is a little gem. Food was absolutely beautiful, full of flavour and good portion sizes. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.
30/03/2019: Good, freshly cooked food, nicely served. Usual selection of dishes, just remember to take your own beer/wine otherwise it's soft drinks (we hadn't looked up any details before we went so was a bit of a surprise which we quickly adapted to!)

Hat Shop Restaurant

Presteigne, Powys, >100£
13/04/2019: Delightful, low key, lovely food, refreshing experience. Wish we lived nearer then we would go every week.
19/02/2019: Christine is not well served with eating places but we were very pleased with the choice of going in for a small lunch today

The Glengower Hotel

Aberystwyth Gogledd/North, Ceredigion
18/04/2019: I had to eat at 16.30 for a later appointment elsewhere and what a find. Great beer, absolutely stunning food outstanding atmosphere I cannot sing this establishments praises highly enough shall definitely be going back there and as it stands at the time of writing anything from the specials board some money is donated to to the R.N.L.I. Win win all round. SUPERB
18/04/2019: Stayed at The Glengower a few years ago and loved it.

Fountain Inn Trefechan

Aberystwyth Rheidol, Ceredigion, >100£
18/04/2019: Another beautiful meal in a lovely atmosphere with Match as the host Angie in the kitchen and a beautiful waitress who could ask for more. Dachre bendigedig i'r Pasg bwyd blasus iawn mewn lle hwylus xx
12/02/2019: Whenever we don't fancy cooking Sunday lunch this is the place we go to eat. The best Sunday roast we've come accross and the only problem is to book a table in time as it's very, very popular. The variety of vegetables are too lovely for our own good and none of them are prepared in our usual way. They mix cream and finely chopped leeks with the cabbage, and the cauliflower cheese is gorgeous as are all the veges - more selection than anywhere else we've been. Lovely ladies serving too - such a pleasure to eat there.
