Aberystwyth Rheidol, Ceredigion, <20£
19/06/2018: A small, regularly changed menu (a good thing). Helpful service inside or outside. The stuff about this being a refitted public lavatory gets the place talked about, but has no other relevance.
18/06/2018: What an incredible conversion of a public toilets! The food here is high standard, the service attentive and the views stunning! You will never be disappointed!

Gwesty Cymru

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
15/06/2018: I was in Aberystwyth on a beautiful, sunny day and needed lunch. I was initially tempted by a quick sandwich or a take-away from a fish and chip shop, but in the end I decided to seek somewhere with more style. I happened to pass Gwesty Cymru (which I had heard of previously) and decided to give its restaurant a try.
14/06/2018: Regularly eat in this, our favourite eatery in the whole of Ceredigion. Excellent food both at lunchtime and in the evening. Also a great place to sit outside and people watch on the promenade. Can’t fault the food, staff or service. We would recommend Gwesty Cymru anyone and can’t speak highly enough of it. 11/10.

Latte-da Tearoom

Crickhowell,Llangattock, Powys, <20£
18/06/2018: We are regular visitors to crickhowell and usually visit the Courtroom cafe.
17/06/2018: I was in Crickhowell with my family and we had lunch at the Latte-Da tearoom. I had the Welsh rarebit and my wife and son had eggs royale. All of the food was very nice and the staff were professional and very friendly. The tearoom is obviously popular with locals and visitors, and rightly so. Highly recommended.

The Three Horseshoes Inn

Talybont-on-Usk, Powys, <20£
19/06/2018: Travelling down the local canal, found this welcoming pub purely by chance, a warm welcome by cheery, friendly staff, good beers and quality food, not your average pub fare but well cooked, well presented food, I can recommend the duck, nicely pink and tender as...
18/06/2018: Had a great meal and drinks in the restaurant Saturday, the fillet steak was one of the nicest I've had. Waitress' were all lovely...would deffinitely recommend!

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion, 20-30£
19/06/2018: Lovely selection of salads and light airy space with large bench type seating day and evening with license. Good for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Welsh and English spoken by friendly efficient staff. Fresh deli products and take-away also available
18/06/2018: We were disappointed by the poor choice of gluten-free options on the menu. All the fish was served with either a herb crumb, or some other flour dusting. Another major annoyance was the fact that the VAT was not shown on the menu, or even...

Castle Green

Lampeter, Ceredigion
18/06/2018: Had a lovely evening meal here. So much selection on the menu, husband took forever to decide what to eat! As for me the vegetarian.. I not only had a few options to choose from, but it was made freshly there and then!! I asked...
27/05/2018: We had a bit of a tour of Lampeter to find this gem, but it was worth the effort. Lots of pubs now seem to only offer Sunday lunch but when we explained that we preferred a lighter meal as hubby had only been out...

Fforest Pizza Tipi

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion, <20£
19/06/2018: Had a lovely and lively family meal here. Great atmosphere great food and great location on a warm summers evening
19/06/2018: Such a peaceful spot by the river, yet in the heart of Cardigan. It's a fair weather place but there's nowhere nicer when the sun shines. Gorgeous wood fired pizzas too. Dog friendly.

Bosun's Locker

New Quay, Ceredigion
20/06/2018: The homemade cottage pie I had was amazing and the mocha was one of the nicest I've ever had! Would certainly go back!
19/06/2018: We have been down new quay a few times recently, and this place is amazing, you cannot fault anything. You need to try the breakfasts, lunches, cakes and of course the famous Sunday lunch (which I booked weeks in advance so we would not miss it). It is great to find a place that is so friendly, that the food is all homemade and you can actually sit inside with the dog. Brian and Jane are amazing people and nothing is too much trouble for them. Hope to see you soon.

The Waggon And Horses - Newton

Newtown Llanllwchaiarn North, Powys
27/05/2018: We were travelling home from a weekend away and checked TripAdvisor for places to eat half way home and found The Waggon and Horses. From the outside it looks like a standard pub but it was so much more. They were fully booked but very, very kindly squeezed us in which they didn't have to. We are all vegetarian and often worry about food choice for us when we eat out but there were more than enough options. We had cheese and leek quiche which was absolutely divine and the side of vege and potatoes were delicious. We also had a pud each which were again amazing. The service was fantastic, we were made to feel so so welcome and out 2 year old even got a peek in the kitchen which he was made up about. We will definitely be visiting again if we are ever back in the vicinity. Thank you so much!
20/05/2018: I was in Newtown for over a month and came across the Waggon by chance.

The Cellar

Aberaeron, Ceredigion
20/06/2018: Great food and service, possibly one of the best burgers I have eaten. Little strange after our plates were cleared there was no mention of desert or the bill but was impressed overall
19/06/2018: Ordered steak which was excellent but we waited so long for it, we were on the verge of giving up. The waiter was excellent and very embarrassed but obviously it wasn’t his fault. He did his best to placate the situation and was a credit...

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
18/06/2018: Really unexpected place recommended by the bar staff at bar 46 - lovely waitress explained how it all worked and how much food would be required (tapas style is new to us) lovely food baked cod was excellent x highly recommend this hidden gem x we will be returning next time in Aber
17/06/2018: Visited this restaurant many times. Always have lovely food. The tortilla is fabulous. Also the paella. Highly recommend.

Pen y Cae Inn

Tawe-Uchaf, Powys, <20£
20/06/2018: Without a doubt, the nicest Sunday Lunch I’ve ever had whilst eating out! Food was delicious and plentiful, especially the homemade Yorkshire pudding. Staff were welcoming and attentive. The animals out the back were an unexpected surprise and made the dining experience even better. Looking...
18/06/2018: Went for Father's Day , set menu brilliant , service top class , all brilliant , will be back again as it's quite simply the best

The Nags Head Inn

Berriew, Powys, 30-45£
20/06/2018: This is a lovely high end pub which has 5 rooms for B&B;, the whole pub oozes charm and is the most typical example of a modern day country pub. Room 1 is a medium sized double with modern quality furnishings, the shower room is a good size and spotless, also there's a good quality large flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The only downside to the room was the thickness of the duvet which is more suited to artic conditions and far too heavy for summer conditions, the small fan in the room was a waste of time because it simply didn't generate enough draught to blow a candle out. Everything in the pub was spotless and the food and staff were great, we will revisit when the snow falls.
20/06/2018: Called in for a break on a long journey back from pembrokeshire. What great choice. Food, beautiful, staff/customer service, excellent. What more can I say.

The Ancient Briton

Tawe-Uchaf, Powys
19/06/2018: Best showed and loos on our whole trip. Super clean and spacious with lashings of hot water almost too hot!
18/06/2018: We were here yesterday 17/06/18..with friends to celebrate the big birthday in his favourite pub.. We had a wonderful buffet, including veggie and vegan options which were different and very much appreciated. Although we had 5dogs we were made to feel welcome. All of the staff were lovely and helpful and I can thoroughly recommend the Ancient Briton.. Thankyou.

Bara Menyn Bakehouse & Cafe

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion
19/06/2018: Beautiful walled garden and lovely vegetarian/vegan food is a great combo. Had a spinach and rice burger on their homemade bread and it was gorgeous.
12/06/2018: Bara Menyn is a favourite of mine anyway but today we has Savoury Baclava. It was so delicious ( delicious enough for us to order another three portions to go) served with very fresh salad - including a flower or two-and of course their artisan bread. Don't miss this treat.
