The Green Almond

Meads, Eastbourne, 20-30£
11/12/2018: Really enjoyed the food at this cosy restaurant. You need to book because it is popular but well worth the effort. I have Vegan friends and know they will be happy eating here.
07/12/2018: We only decided to go here at the last minute but luckily when we phoned they'd just had a cancellation so were able to fit us in. However it would certainly be safest to book ahead. The restaurant has a really friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It only has a few tables with a small open kitchen at the back so feels very comfortable but not crowded. In the evening there's a fixed price (£25) 3 course menu with 2 options for each course (which change monthly I think). There are vegan/ gluten free alternatives but you need to notify them in advance for these. We would have been happy with all the dishes on offer and the food was uniformly excellent. There were crackers on the table and little wrapped Christmas gifts to take home afterwards, which were lovely touches. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very enjoyable evening and can easily understand why The Green Almond is so highly rated on Tripadvisor.

Camphill Restaurant

Linford South, Milton Keynes
22/10/2018: I used to visit this cafe a lot. It still lives up to its reputation. Excellent food, great service. Lovely sense of humour from our waitress.
16/10/2018: It's been a while since I last visited Camphill and I was very pleased to see that the food is still excellent. My friend and I visited with her blind Labrador dog this week for coffee and a chat.

24/10/2018: I go here regularly there is a big wide range of sandwiches and torsties the food products are really flavour I go for the posh cheddar sand which which is delicious I reccomend the food quality has always been really high and reasonably priced as well the only thing that I have your coffees and the times I have had them they have not been hot which means you drink it quickly then it’s not enjoyable it should be in the middle, it is very clean and very good customer the staff always have a smile on their faces which makes a massive difference in customer service and very nice decor and a vibrant atmosphere it situated in britiful historic Oxford,

Wagamama

Norman, Ashford
07/12/2018: Had a late lunch whilst shopping. Lovely food. Had an amazing juice. What’s not to like? Possibly as it’s an outlet centre, would like discounted food or maybe some special offers.
13/11/2018: Visited here with family and grandson. We were seated fairly quickly even though the place was very busy as this visit was during half term. Order for drinks and food taken quickly and staff helpful and friendly. Have eaten in other branches before so knew what to expect. Food was very good, they were sweet to my grandson who loves his food. Visited the toilets and they were clean and tidy. Quite a quick eating experience as usual and the only thing I dislike is the noise and sometimes sharing the table with people I don't know but other than that was fine.

Quiches especially the mozzarella and chorizo mmmmmmm sausage rolls also a big hit and lots of very tasty salad dishes so you can be healthy but feel you’ve had something really nice! Servers are lovely! Gave me back £20 I’d dropped in the shop one time!!!!!
18/04/2018: I had beef lasagne with patatas bravas homemade hummus and penne past slightly on the dear side but due to the wonderful interior bright appealing dishes and friendly owner it was well worth the money. A hidden gem in the beautiful character filled city. Food was all delicious and generous portion sizes meant I couldn’t finish it for £9.95.

Subway

Central, Rother
08/11/2018: My first visit to subway Eastbourne- only my 3rd subway visit. It was filthy, the staff were no help, as a disabled person I hoped I might get help to carry to my table, no, neither did the staff help me order. Very long long fingernails!!
03/10/2018: Definitely go here regularly.great venue always assured of an excellent snack. Great variety with daily choices

42 Juice

Regency, Brighton and Hove

The Beano Restaurant

Friary and St Nicolas, Guildford
09/07/2018: The GI is right in the heart of Guildford town and runs excellent educational courses ranging from history of art to learning French - they also have guest speakers - one talk I attended concerned Guildford during the war.
11/04/2018: I visit the Guildford Institute once or twice a year and always enjoy a lunch at their Beano restaurant. Provided by a keen team of cooks, the menus are changed daily and everything is fresh. Very good value for money.

Worton Organic Garden

Yarnton, Gosford and Water Eaton, Cherwell
07/10/2018: I revel at the chance to support local independent shops. These places are disappearing quickly and we are getting less choice in the process. And, I also love gardens. Since I was in the area, I took the chance to visit Worton Garden for the first time.
07/07/2018: Setting: You walk through the organic produce shop to get to the cafe. The main cafe is cosy looking and colourful with a full wall book shelf on one side and opens out into the garden area. Outside is a wonderful, slightly chaotic garden/patio. Flowers, overgrown bushes, fruit trees are just a few steps away. There's a corner under a walnut tree with haystacks for sitting in the shade and an unattended axe for the children to play with! We sat at a table near the door to the cafe. Annoyingly the table had struts right at shin height, which got me several times.

Tina's Kitchen

Lewes Priory, Lewes
25/10/2018: We were lured into the cafe by the delicious scent coming out of the open door and the food did not disappoint! The best food in the ‘healthy’ category I’ve ever had when eating out: I ordered the salad platter of different colourful salads with a mushroom frittata and my son and husband had the venison stew. Everything was beautifully flavoured with spices and herbs, prepared with fresh seasonal ingredients and clearly made by someone who knows how to cook well. We got a few of the wholesome sweet treats to go and those too were scrumptious. I only wish there was a cafe like this where we live!
12/09/2018: Well its been a while since eating there. walked into the shop the smells were divine as its all homemade fresh each day. It was a cloudy day & not so warm so was looking for a good fill up . So many choices on the black board was a hard discussion.
