El Tomate

Mold Broncoed, Flintshire
13/02/2018: Not open as El Tomate anymore. Changes to a grill bar. Does Mold need one? Not sure. Others say its ok but it lags behind the Fst Boar so not holding out for the place. Lets see.
15/09/2017: Me and my partner visited here and we loved it. The tapas was delicious and plenty of it, we ordered too much! Shame it is closing as i would like to visit again! I will be trying the steak restaurant soon and have high expectations.

Manitos Mexican Tapas

Mold West, Flintshire
03/01/2016: Fantastic food - would be my first choice for Mexican/Texmex every time. Decent value but remember to take cash

Poquito's

Abersoch,Llanengan, Gwynedd
04/01/2016: hade a terrible tapas particularly the garlic bread This restaurant has not made the grade in Abersoch and has now closed and re-opened as the HUB but not yet serving food
14/12/2015: We came for a long weekend break in abersoch and weren't sure which restaurant to choose but tapas is usually a safe bet so we went for this place as it seemed fairly trustworthy. we booked a table. first impressions it wasnt very busy on a friday night at 7pm which was strange - we were sat on the quiet side of the restaurant on our own which wasn't such a bad thing at first. i couldnt help but notice that there were quite a few dead flies behind the leather seats that curl around the bay windows - obviously nobody had looked behind there for quite a while but it's a simple check do to as a restaurant manager. the menu was fairly standard but it was tapas so everything is as you would expect. the garlic mushrooms came and they had obviously been made in batches ready to be microwaved and not even stirred to freshen up before being served. i had the flies at the back of my mind whilst eating and knowing there were around me. maybe that's a bit sad but i wouldn't sit around it at home so you can't help it really. lastly a family came in to eat and were seated at the other side of the restaurant, we didn't notice initially but they were moved after 20 minutes to sit next to us. Then it became clear it was because the young teenage child was coughing uncontrollably every 5 seconds or so. The parents ignored it as it was obviously something he did 24/7 but it was so distracting that both of us and the couple next to us couldn't continue with our conversations. I mentioned it to the waitress (who was very nice may i note - dark hair fairly tall mid 20's) and she didn't know what to do as the diners on the other side of the restaurant had obviously requested for the family to be moved. Management should have stepped in here because it without doubt ruined half a dozen couple's experience - if it wasn't already ruined prior to that happening. That's the one thing I would say lets this place down. Management and attention to detail. Tapas should be a safe bet but in this case it wasn't. Just an honest review from a travelling couple. We hope in future the establishment improves on these points and would happily visit again if they do.

A&R's Wine & Tapas Bar

Corwen, Denbighshire
