Tomatitos Tapas Bar

Hay, Powys
15/03/2019: Delicious food and friendly and helpful staff. I have never been disappointed when eating here. A great place to meet friends and have a bite to eat.
13/03/2019: Called in as took a walk looking for a nice place to eat. It stood out. Lovely tapas here and nice atmosphere. Very busy when I went at around 8pm. Staff more than happy to help and the food was really tasty. I know tapas is small portions however they could have been ever so slightly bigger. Could have also been a tad cheaper for what we got. Overall was a good experience.

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
11/03/2019: Very welcoming setting, with a nice selection of authentic-tasting Spanish tapas. However, although it was not completely full, it quickly appeared that the operation was overwhelmed: Service staff were visibly over-rushed and kitchen maybe too small. Thus dishes and drinks came out slowly and with unpredictable delivery, and it unfortunately started to feel like we were more an inconvenience than customers. Overall, we were generally happy with what we were served, but it was not a very relaxed experience.
27/02/2019: Googled craft beer in Aberystwyth and this place up. Was unsure on walking in a the front is a deli but then we found the cafe at the back and sat at the bar for some drinks. I had a delicious Spanish beer made with sea water and my wife the house red, we soo. Settled into the vibe there and ended up having a few drinks and some delicious olives and bread. The place is very expensive but I don’t mind when the quality is good. Can’t comment on the food but it did smell yummy. Staff were very friendly and we’ll definitely be returning for food sometime

Mirrens Tapas and Steak Bar

Newtown East, Powys, 20-30£
14/03/2019: Fully understand restricted menus, stop waste and increase quality. However, you must ensure what's on the menu is available. Out of the few items on the menu the only thing I wanted was duck. This was not available at 7pm on Saturday when we were only the second couple in the restaurant! From there everything was down hill, including hard topped potato and lukewarm broccoli. Made our views clear at ordering, when asked if everything was ok and the end of the meal. Reaction... nothing.
10/03/2019: Super Sunday lunch at the Granary today. Reasonably priced 3 course menu with plenty of choice. All courses were very tasty and there was plenty of food. The staff were very accommodating to our little boy and they are kind and friendly. We often eat here and couldn’t recommend it more.

No 46 Wine BAr

Presteigne, Powys
07/02/2019: Appealing place but not clear from the outside what it is called or what it does. Once inside very well laid out though and takes dogs. Sort of pubby at one end a nd café the other. Not the hugest of welcomes but very friendly. Let down only by coffee that wasn't great and not hot also no real choice of cake, the cookie we had wasn't great. It was however a quiet January Monday morning so I would go again as it was a nice place
02/02/2019: We popped in for lunch and decided on a full english for my partner and a veggie one for me. It was hot and looked tasted great. Fab poached eggs cooked to perfection. I couldn't fault anything. Really nice seeded bread with butter and a good pot of tea. The only thing i could moan about was how cold it was inside but its winter. Would defo return. Thank you. Genie and Jonathan :)
