11/12/2018: Food was amazing , made fresh , service was brilliant could not do enough for us and price was reasonable , will def be back Elaine clark
09/12/2018: Superb food, great service from very pleasant staff and a lovely atmosphere. First visit but will certainly be returning. Highly recommended.

Habitat Cafe

Highland, Perth & Kinross
11/12/2018: As someone who thoroughly enjoys coffee and seeks out excellent cafes in many cities across the world, I have still yet to come across one that can equal Mikes place in Aberfeldy.
18/11/2018: Just stopped at this little cafe whilst passing through Aberfeldy and what a great find! We had the ham and cheese baguette with a nice salad and there famous homemade sausage roll, both of which were delicious and you could taste the quality ingredients. It was very reasonably priced and a lovely setting to have lunch, staff were friendly and courteous and I happen to comment on an autumn Leaf decoration that the owner had put up and asked him where he purchased it and he had a spare batch which he gave me which was very kind of him! so all in all ......a very satisfying and enjoyable visit. Would definitely recommend!

The Allan Water Cafe

Dunblane and Bridge of Allan, Stirling
19/12/2018: Never disappointed when I eat here always great service aswell Always pop in with my wife and we'll always be back
07/12/2018: Love it here, and never disappointed.

Starfish Restaurant

Kintyre and the Islands, Argyll & Bute
29/10/2018: Sadly, this wonderful restaurant has just closed for the winter and will re-open in March, but if you're in beautiful Tarbert when it's open, book a table immediately! I was there on its last night before it closed and it was completely sold out. It not only has a printed menu, but also a daily specials board. The staff are cheerful and helpful, and advise the unwary on how to tackle langoustines or lobster. A lovely atmosphere and great food.
28/10/2018: Both myself and my wife chose off of the specials board, we had the Trio of fish... Halibut, Salmon, and Sea Bass.

Grand Italia

Perth City Centre, Perth & Kinross, <20£
16/12/2018: We visited before a concert at Perth Concert Hall on a Saturday evening. We had been here once before, the previous year. It lived up to our expectations from last year!!
11/12/2018: Early on a Thursday evening this place was buzzing and we soon found out why ......varied menu ( all the Italian favourites and more) good wine competitively priced and great service from friendly waiters. Portion sizes are not huge but ample given the prices. Clientele included business people, families and groups of friends. On a recommendation we had booked a table which was just as well or we would not have been accommodated.

Maryfield, Dundee City
16/12/2018: Went with my wife, food was great and lots of it, very tasty. Set menu with 5 courses, trying to go easy on the 1st two courses is good advice but not possible given it is so tasty. Every course was delicious and overall extremely good value at £24.95 per hear. Lebanese red wine was very good too.
11/12/2018: Visited early evening with my son and received a very warm welcome. They advised that they were serving a three course tapas style menu. The first course was absolutely lovely, flat breads and cold dips/salads. The second course also excellent meatballs, falafel, etc then a third course of grilled meats etc. All the food was first class, extremely good value and the service exceptional, Lewis was a delight to chat to, charming young man, credit to the establishment. If you are in Dundee try this place you will not be disappointed.

Coast Restaurant

Oban North and Lorn, Argyll & Bute
03/12/2018: We had searched for restaurants on TripAdvisor before our trip to Oban and came across coast. We were really glad we booked a table as we were not disappointed. We enjoyed an amazing three course meal, each course was delicious and such good value too. Friendly and attentive staff, nice bottle of malbec and most importantly, great food. Would defiinitely recommend.
24/11/2018: This is the left bank. No really. Not like Paris. But a converted financial institution.

The Seafood Restaurant

St. Andrews, Fife, 45-60£
24/11/2018: Went here last night for our wedding anniversary meal and had a fantastic meal with terrific wine. Thank you to everyone involved. I have been to many top restaurants and this is up here with the best. Keep up the good work.
22/11/2018: Excellent ambiance, staff with outstanding food. A relaxed birthday lunch with nice views; a return visit is a must.

Little's Restaurant

Blairgowrie and Glens, Perth & Kinross
03/11/2018: We really enjoyed our meal at Little's restaurant in a converted church.
31/10/2018: I do not at all agree with many aspects of the restaurant.

Jon and Fernanda's Restaurant

Strathallan, Perth & Kinross, 45-60£
29/11/2018: Jon and Fernanda went above and beyond for my Mum's birthday, the restaurant was beautifully decorated, nothing was too much trouble, everybody had a wonderful time and the food was excellent, can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. They go out of their way to make you feel like family,
27/11/2018: 28 of us celebrated my 70th birthday in Jon and Fernanda's and the food was superb! I had scallops, sea bass and the cheese board - heavenly! Jon even produced handmade chicken nuggets (not on the menu!) for two very happy 11 year olds, as well as offering a full menu choice for the other 26 people. Nothing was too much trouble. Pleasing 28 diners in one service is no mean feat but they did and excelled! Jon and Fernanda's attention to detail is outstanding - from the beautiful birthday decorations to the background music, so much thought had gone into everything. Jon, Fernanda and their staff made it a perfect, unforgettable evening. Thank you both so much!!

AliBob at Cairn O'Mohr

Carse of Gowrie, Perth & Kinross, >100£
28/11/2018: Went here with my girlfriend and my mum and what a find! A lovely, rustic place full of heart. The food was amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. They made sure my dish was catered to me. Also considering myself as somewhat of a mocha connoisseur, they’re mochas are devine. Up there with the big coffee chains. Unfortunately I avoided the wine tasting, but all that means is I’ll definitely be back. All in all a perfect place to go for something different. Highly recommend
12/11/2018: tasty soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes and dont miss out on the scones and cakes, dog friendly too if you have a 4 legged companion.

Cafe Tabou

Perth City Centre, Perth & Kinross
16/12/2018: Lunch here with sister. I opted for the large portion of mussels accompanied by chips. “Mule Frit” mussels very small and tasteless. They menue states they were served in a nice sounding sauce/ liquer. Not so. Better flavour with just the natural mussel juices. Chips were obviously frozen and tasted of “zilch”. There are much better mussels out there on the market, these steamed or boiled to the old Mule Mariner recipe style are the best. My advice from one who eats here a lot is.... go for QUALITY please. Your prices warrant this.
14/12/2018: Food for all pallets, Vegetarian, Piscetarian, very good wine and service. Food for all the family and drink to suit all tastes

The Gallery Restaurant

Castle, Stirling, <20£
07/12/2018: Before I complain this is an excellent place with really good food and served by pleasant young staff. My recent issue is that 4 of us visited for a Christmas dinner. Starters were good, the goats cheese was brilliant. The turkey main course was indifferent, too much brown meat, and a little fatty, stuffing was not good but where it was a let down was lack of veg. Three very small roasties, a slice of carrot and two sprouts are a bit on the stingy side. Having said that we will continue to support this enterprise.
19/11/2018: After many unsuccessful attempts we finally managed to book a table (restaurant is getting rave reviews deservedly). Can't add anymore to previous reviews thoroughly enjoyable and a huge credit to everyone involved. Highly recommended

The Tayvallich Inn

Mid Argyll, Argyll & Bute, <20£
13/11/2018: Visited for lunch. The Cullen Skink was outstanding. The fish and chips were also excellent. Exceptional food, good beer, wine and excellent service.
04/11/2018: Friendly, cosy on a cold night, good service and excellent food. Salmon Pate and Sweet Potato and Spinach Curry were especially good. We ate in the bar but could order from the full menu. Highly recommended.

Am Birlinn

Oban South and the Isles, Argyll & Bute, >100£
17/10/2018: I'd fish & Seafood Stew starter which was wonderful, then sea bream which was average. The meal was expensive and the ambience not great - but it was mid-afternoon so maybe at busy times it would feel less like a gallery. It's in a delightful, forested location - we probably would return given the chance!
12/10/2018: We ate here on our first night on the Isle of Mull and were delighted by the food, so immediately booked to come back the next night! In fact we ate here 4 times during our visit to the island so were gradually able to work our way through most of the menu! Excellent salmon mousse starter (10/10), absolutely fantastic venison stew with soft, light gnocchi and perfect veg, fish great especially fish and chips - light batter, excellent chips (always a good sign) and for a change superb, tasty vegetarian choices. I know they are closing down for the winter but I have no doubt that the food will be just as good when they open again next season - visit if you get the chance
