Pizza Dreams Cafe
Bisham and Cookham, Windsor and Maidenhead, >100£
21/12/2021: Not been here for several months. Went today, a really cold day & had to endure the front door left open due to smoke from the pizza oven.. really! Must be a rubbish ventilated pizza oven. The wraiter who served us didn't seem seem to know much about anything he was serving. Totally pathetic & a waste of time going there. Won't be returning any time soon. Dont know if there's been a change of management but what a let down. Pizza Dreams you need to get your act ogether fast or customers will vote with their feet
29/11/2021: Having been to this lovely little restaurant many times pre lock down I was incredibly disappointed. The pizza was luke warm, the topping inadequate. On asking to reheat it it came back colder. The so called manager said she'd never cooked one before. Would not recommend. Poor value, poor food and very unprofessional staff. Very sad as it used to be a gem of a place to visit.

Prezzo - Windsor

02/01/2022: Looked like Italian fast food, pre cooked. Maybe the chef was on holiday in that day. General service was good.
24/12/2021: Excellent food and wine, celebrating my birthday. Staff were very attentive and efficient. Manager made a fuss on hearing its my birthday. Great atmosphere and nice soft lighting. Strongly recommended.

Pizza Express
Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
22/01/2024: Four of us had a late dinner here. My sister and I shared calamari and a La Reine pizza. Great calamari and the best La
Reine I’ve had in quite a while. Smaller than our local offering but plump, generous with toppings and tasty. The other pizza, and the pasta got a thumbs up too. Pleasant service. Not the most attractive room but I would eat there again.
17/12/2023: Was disappointed with this Pizza Express sadly. It’s a small building and we had a table down stairs which felt a bit of a squeeze. If there are a few of you then the tables upstairs looked better.
We had to chase cutlery a couple of times and the pizzas were just ok.

The Bell
Oldfield, Windsor and Maidenhead
09/06/2019: No longer The Bell, now O'Neills. This pub serves 3 real ales, Doom Bar, London Pride and Tim Taylors Landlord, the latter was particularly good. Several sports screens, but they don't dominate the place. Staff very good at finding out about allergies. Pizza very good, however the American Hot, wasn't very hot or spicy, tasty but disappointing.
24/04/2019: Although we weren't planning to eat here we liked the look of the menu so decided we would stay and eat instead of going anywhere else in Maidenhead. We used to visit The Bell alot with friends for pizza and drinks on a Tuesday, it was a nice atmosphere and the staff friendly.

Pizza Express
Ascot and Cheapside, Windsor and Maidenhead
16/05/2023: Came here last Friday late afternoon, food was very tasty - they now have half and half pizzas on the menu in the larger 'Romana' size, which is great. Went for the American Hot/Pollo Forza 'half and half' which arrived in a timely manner and was very tasty. There were also no complaints from any others in my party regarding the food. The wait staff were very attentive too and friendly. Only issue we had was we ended up getting sat in the higher level at the back, which it feels like they reserve for the families with younger kids. Of course I understand that kids are noisy (having been through this age with two myself) however some of them were out of control to the point where the waitress had to ask some of them to stop running around and hitting each other with balloons ( the parent was not intervening!). We did ask to move but were reassured that the tables were soon finishing.. so decided to go with it. Probably a bit unfair to take a mark of the restaurant for this, but they did decide to put us in amongst these tables.
So, overall, we had a good experience, slightly marred by where we were sat, so if you dont have very young children and want a more peaceful meal, try to avoid the very back part of the restaurant!!
13/11/2022: Went for a big family meal (10 of us) at Pizza express in Sunningdale as it suits everyone from the 5 year old to grandparents. We don’t expect much from pizza express except consistency but the pizzas were absolutely delicious, hot and perfectly made. Writing the review mainly because the staff could not have been kinder to my Dad who has dementia. They were so patient (girl with a long dark ponytail!) I was really touched.

Papa John's Pizza
Clewer North, Windsor and Maidenhead
02/01/2021: I usually really like Papa John’s but the vegan pizzas are really not good. The ‘fake’ meat and cheese are not nice. Stick with the normal pizzas which are very tasty.
12/06/2020: Papa John's is consistently good for pizza. Their toppings are more generous than other chains and the food arrives hot. Plus, they are good value for money!

Pizza Hut Delivery
Clewer South, Windsor and Maidenhead
18/11/2023: Absolutely dreadful customer service, my boyfriend ordered a meat feast pizza and they messed up his order sending a pineapple and mushroom instead, he phoned up to ask for the correct pizza to be sent out and the woman on the phone told him his only course of action would be to go through Uber (which he had ordered through), to which he replied no worries but could he still get the correct pizza and her reply was “no” and then hung up. So rude, especially for a mistake on their end. Do not recommend anyone ordering from here.
11/07/2022: What an awesome surprise. After bingeing on park food through the day, we decided on one of our favorite treats that evening. But having driven three hours to reach the park, I couldn't be bothered to drive out. No problem. They were more than happy to deliver to the hotel and meet one of us at reception.....and the pizzas were great! Loaded with toppings and cheese. Thanks, guys.

Prime Pizza
Oldfield, Windsor and Maidenhead
24/04/2023: Excellent pizza lots of flavour and different pizzas to choose from also bbq wings nice and juicy highly recommended
11/03/2023: The pizza tastes okey but i did asked the pizza to be deep pan as I don’t think a tin pan will feed my family or any family tbh.
Not worth the money buy better one from aldi’s that is 1£ and just add more cheese and pepperoni and is going to be better that that!
Spend about 15£ on pizzas a bit enjoyed cuz i did asked about 2 times if is going to be deep pan i was told is going to be but it wasn’t maybe if you not that hungry you can order but for a lunch for family i will not recommend.

Project Ascot
Ascot and Cheapside, Windsor and Maidenhead
28/07/2022: Booked a table online for 7pm today, turned up at 6:50pm to see all the shutters were down and the whole place wasn't open. Complete disgrace. Tried to call but no answer.
03/07/2022: We had arranged a Saturday brunch at Project Ascot for my friends 30th birthday, it was advertised as 3pm - 8pm with a DJ, 1 hour bottomless brunch, saxophonist, drummer & dancers, which is exactly what we were looking for for a fun afternoon out with entertainment!
When we arrived we were seated and given complimentary drinks & were told we could have our food whenever we wanted and the 1 hour bottomless was at a time of our choice.
Can’t fault the food at all, it was really good!
The DJ turned up late .. and after an hour we asked about the sax player and we were told “they cancelled” .. to be honest I don’t think they were ever booked in the first place.
The DJ then packed up just before 6pm and left .. so we ended up plugging in our own phone for music and decided to leave earlier than planned.
When we were given our bill, I disputed paying it. We had all paid £40 per person prior to the event, expecting entertainment and lunch etc and then we would pay for our drinks on top which wasn’t a problem.
However, the man working there got very aggressive and insisted that we “still had fun” .. yes we did, but we made our own fun, it should have been fun because of the event they were advertising for, not because we had a few drinks and enjoyed a few drinks. We shouldn’t have to plug our own phone in for music because the DJ left 2 hours early, when the event is advertised as 3pm - 8pm.
The man was completely missing the point that we had booked the tickets for an event. We had travelled over an hour to be there, and if we wanted a lunch with back ground music we could have booked somewhere much closer to home!
It is a real shame, because the actual venue is lovely, the food is lovely, however they should not be advertising this event as something it is not. If it isn’t busy enough, or the entertainment aren’t booked or not coming, they should contact the people who had purchased tickets to let them know or cancel it.
We paid the bill at the end except for one payment because I refused to, we didn’t get what we we had booked for and for the guy to argue and not see the point we were trying to make and shouting at us but you had fun, and then continue to say “is this what you do, come for an afternoon and then refuse to pay” was extremely rude. Had they have apologised and been polite about it, we wouldn’t have been so annoyed.
On a positive note - if they were to hold “brunches with music” and advertise it as this, it would be a lovely place to go.
Please don’t advertise this event for something it is not. It isn’t fair.
