Seems it's changed a bit since the last reviews, it's now some sort of donation-driven self-serve canteen. There were cakes, teas, coffees, and that sort of thing. As far as I could see it was just take what you want and pay what you can. A lot of locals and regulars there happy to chat, an interesting and friendly bunch for sure. Can recommend stopping by if you're in the area!! Be warned: no fish and chips here which is what got me there in the first place! But plenty of other joints for that in the vicinity, no harm done

Unexpectedly, a great find in the centre. Great decor, nice vibe, and reasonable selection of good food. We had fish and chips which had a good crisp batter, most times it's swimming in grease but this was excellent, definitely a strong recommendation. We also had beef pie, for me the meat was a little dry but it was encased with a great sauce. Allround score for me 8/10

Very friendly pub with a great location and a garden leading down to the beach, though with a pretty bland interior. Food was well prepared without being anything enormously memorable - though apparently the speciality scallops are great (none available when we came). Charming staff were very obliging and - when asked - were happy to show off a few of the finds (Jamaican bank note, whisky bottles, etc) from the SS Politician which sank nearby in 1941.

The Laggan Wolftrax cafe is a superb place to recharge and refuel especially if you're planning a day of mountainbiking on what is some of Scotland's very best trails. The cafe is clean and well presented and the staff are friendly and superb, all backed up by quality items to sample. I opted for the special which was Japanese chicken in BBQ sauce with rice and it was excellent and just what was needed before a day on the trails. There are clean and well maintained restroom facilities also. You can pay to park by RingGo also for convenience. Recommended.

I can honestly say that I have never had something from Harry gows that I haven’t enjoyed. The usual selection of sweet and savoury products. It’s like an oasis in the desert when you see a Harry gows shop.

Lots of lovely cakes to choose from. Strawberry tarts are by far the best! Much nicer than the Harry Gow ones!!!!! Rolls were fresh and my son loved the biscuit person. Aero slice was not the greatest that I have tasted. Worth a visit if in the area.
