The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

Used to go in Brown Bear years ago so thought we would pop in for a drink. There are no signs before you enter regarding not using phones. Ordered drink and sat down. Got my phone out to check any message as my Dad poorly moment. Straight away guy came over and told me off like being at school and said if I got my phone out again he would not serve me. As if I wanted another Saturday night and it was like a morgue. The most rude staff. Felt like going to bar, ordering multiple drinks and when it came to pay saying I pay on my phone and not allowed to get it out so where do we go from here!! Double standards!! Avoid!!

Bad service and poor management attitude

This cafe has a nice view of the water features in the town square and plenty of tables. However when I asked for my almond croissant to be warmed up they put it in the microwave rather then the mini oven. Which made the croissant go soggy underneath and spoiled the presentation. I feel the staff should be tought to warm pastry bake goods in a oven not microwaves.

We were looking for a last minute(4days) place to cater for 17 people for my birthday and The White Swan accommodated admirably.The food was hot and tasty and everyone commented how good it was. The icing on the cake was from the live music which starts at 4.00 on Sunday afternoons. PS.Its also a dog friendly pub👍

Fui a la taberna Crosspool con mi madre y mi hermana, el tipo que trabajaba en la carvery que supongo que debe ser el chef fue extremadamente grosero conmigo. Nunca más pondré un pie dentro de la taberna Crosspool.

I had the New York sandwich, the menu says it includes pastrami, gherkins etc. Great use of menu trickery as pastrami can be singular or plural, I assumed the latter and then for £8 was greeted with a single slice of it in my sandwich. Calling it a gherkin and cheese sandwich would have been more honest.

Vino a tomar algo mientras los chicos jugaban en el parque. No había estado antes y parecía tener un gran ambiente. Pedí dos bebidas que llegaron a casi £ 7. Esperó al menos 20 minutos para recibir 2 bebidas pequeñas mediocres y frías. Muy decepcionado.

Vinimos a tomar un bocado ligero y una copa un sábado a la hora del almuerzo Nos dijeron que la comida sería 45 minutos y las bebidas calientes serían 15 minutos Pedimos una bebida fría y bocadillos de mostrador ya que no podíamos esperar. Eso tomó más de 20 minutos y tuve que ir a preguntar por ellos, ya que teníamos un tren para coger Seguro que podría ser encantador, pero necesita más (menos estrés) personal!

Consistently first class breakfast ! Very clean with friendly staff . Food always freshly cooked . We csll most weekends.

Lovely pub with good atmosphere.

Lovely staff, great food, great selection and value for money - we come here regularly and have never had a bad meal. A special mention to Katie and Dave who served us and who was an absolute joy, and pleasure.

Me encantó este pub, me introdujeron en este lugar por mi hermana y cuñado - la ley como es su local, ahora he estado en varias ocasiones en diferentes días y horas y ya sea a mitad de semana la hora del almuerzo o el sábado por la noche el ambiente y el personal amable son siempre geniales, me encanta la comida y los clientes siempre están contentos y tener un buen tiempo, gran lugar para toda la familia, espero volver a visitar muy pronto, gracias.

Arrived here Sunday afternoon for food, ordered two burger meals and a beef roast.. Had to wait 55 minutes, which was bad enough, but made even worse by the quality of the food which was terrible, very dry and overcooked, the beef was the processed kind and inedible. Also they run a queuing system at the bar with not enough bar staff on, so it was a minimum 15 / 20 minute wait to get served. Very disappointed. We won't be going back.

Went here to celebrate my wife’s grandads birthday and I must say I was rather impressed. Decent food and good service. We sat in the big window overlooking the cricket field in the pub side which was nice. My only critique is the portion sizes are on the small side, Sunday lunch plate was dominated by a huge Yorkshire pudding and everything else was a bit thin on the ground, wouldn’t put me off going again though as the quality was very good, they also have green mountain on draft which was a massive plus.
