Fantastic food and service as usual, nothing an issue food always hot and served promptly with a big smile, will definitely be returning

Popped in for lunch 3.3.25,very nice very bouncy,friendly manager greeted and looked after us,i'm afraid we didn't get his name,but he was great!the food was delicious too!..we'll be back!

Used to be amazing but has gone down hill, sausages were brilliant also the French toast was great..

Shame the service so poor as the food was really good. We waited a long time for the main and even longer for pudding. Had to rush off to pick up school children from a booking at 12.30 and it was not busy!!

4th visit this year (2025) and each has been super. It’s a bit of a drive but worth the round trip. Well kept beers (Harveys and Larkins at the moment) and food has been well cooked and well presented (tonight for 6 we had pan fried quail and scotch eggs to start, game pie, Lancashire hot pot, ribs and burgers). Cheerful staff and a welcoming fire on a wet and windy evening. Thank you.

I visited the Whyteleafe Park Pavilion on 14/11/22 with a couple of friends. Excellent hidden gem for good food and coffee. We had coffee, a bit of carrott cake and tried their Christmas panini - all of it was brilliant. Would thoroughly recommend as a place to visit for a coffee/cake/lunch, before walking round the park or heading up to the beautiful Riddlesdown Common.

Went in today and my server was Lauren, very professional and knowledgeable, deffo come back. You was really kind to us throughout our visit

A recent visit with a group of Cyclists and we do enjoy our Coffee & Cake stops. Looks like a charming place and the cakes on offer looked good but on ordering and trying to pay I was told they had a NO CASH policy?! How Crazy is that??? In my opinion a very unwise precedent for a Small Business that clearly needs supporting as apart from us and 2 other people, the place was empty. As absolute TRACKABLE CONTROL over EVERYTHING WE SPEND is a very clear AGENDA We should make every effort to use MORE CASH and PUSH BACK its removal in favour of the CBDC's (Central Bank Digital Currencies) the Government is gagging to inflict on us. Every Small/Med Business in these times of Crisis after Crisis after Crisis deserve to keep as much of their hard earned money as possible so, let's not be fooled into thinking everything Digital is purely for our 'Convenience' as nothing could be further from the TRUTH. I don't carry Cards when Cycling and I certainly wouldn't entertain Payments by Phone either but more Importantly ... We Have A Right To Use CASH as Legal Tender wherever & whenever we choose to do so. Out of Principle, I use CASH over any other payment now. As a result I went without and so did The Old Post and nor will I return or recommend until they embrace the use of CASH again.

I went on my own to have some lunch, do some work and enjoy the sunshine. I received a warm welcome on my arrival and was looked after by Gillian. The service was quick and the food was delicious. A small terrace area but a great sun trap for the season. I look forward to going back again.

Had a lovely family dinner in memory of Sammy mills for her birthday. Connair served us and looked after all 12 of us superbly. Ging him a 10 out of 10. Thanks Connair.

Lovely food, service and atmosphere. Good choice on the menu. Temperature in the place was comfortable, seating was comfy too.

Quick stop in the cafe while passing by. Very picturesque charming pub. Efficient table service. Toasted sandwiches and loose leaf tea were very nice although perhaps the bread could have been of better quality. The main food menu sounded great. Busy. Plenty of parking.

I went to costa coffee oxted with my mum today There today I had a muffin which I really enjoyed it was one of the best muffins I have ever had in the whole wide world Also to drink I had a fanta which I really enjoyed it was the best fanta drink I have ever had The staff that work there are very kind lovely friendly The service there is very good amazing wonderful I had a very lovely first experience there today at costa coffee oxted with my mum today This place gets it's very first 5 out of 5 star rating by me Enjoy reading your google review by me Have a lovely rest of your day 5 stars all around

Great service, great Sunday Roast and staff really friendly and attentive. The bar had a fab variety of real ales and wines. Dining area was spacious I noticed the black board had details of upcoming events such as Sea Shanty evenings. Car park too which was really handy for our small children and walking distance for my mum. Will be returning.

Very average lunch- have had fab better for less. Very skimpy calamari starter- all badly presented. Cauliflower cheese and fish in cheese sauce in desperate need of browning under a grill. Veggies overcooked.Generally a dissapointing meal- we would not return. Staff were friendly though.
