The Jolly Sandwich

Portora, Fermanagh
19/06/2018: We are four school friends (two couples) on a brake to Enniskillen. This place was perfect. All home bakes and good range of lunches. (I overheard one customer asking for a scone to takeaway and they offered to butter it for her- great friendly service). We had four different home-baked divided into four to share. Everything was so nice. The owner/manager chatted to us and we discovered that they had won a recent food award for Ulster. It was busy, but not crowded. The service was good but the hospitality was special. All that and good food will bring us back.
19/06/2018: Met a friend for a catch - the food was amazing - so much choice - all freshly home cooked. The staff were very friendly & professional - if in Enniskillen it is a much whether looking a cuppa & pastry or a meal. Sit indoors or outdoors which is clean.

The TapHouse Enniskillen

Castlecoole, Fermanagh
19/06/2018: Food portions have become smaller seem to be presenting food differently ie in small containers on your plate. The fish was significantly smaller than last visit. Beware of the alcoholic drinks they are also expensive especially the wine. Don't think we will be returning.
18/06/2018: I can highly recommend The Taphouse. Have been many times now and not once was disappointed. The service and quality of food are second to none. You would be s fool to miss such a treat.

Cafe Merlot

Portora, Fermanagh
20/06/2018: For an upscale, quality dinner, you can't beat Cafe Merlot. This was my second visit, and it surpassed the first. I had a pasta dish with pork, and my daughter had salmon. Both were exceptionally delicious, and the presentation was lovely. The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We'll enjoy Cafe Merlot again on our next visit to Enniskillen!
19/06/2018: Hard to find but worth the effort

Walled City Brewery

Ebrington, Derry
20/06/2018: Everything about our meal was great. Beer was wonderful - recommend getting a tasting. We liked the London Cherry the best. Very nice staff.
20/06/2018: First the bartender/waitress Nichole was amazing. Super friendly and great at making drinks! After hanging out at the bar for drinks while waiting for our dinner, we had an amazing dinner. I had the 10 for 25$ appetizer as my meal. It was a little bit of everything. Just like tapas?! Nichole was our bartender at the beginning but continued to take care of us throughout the night even though she wasn’t our waitress for dinner, by checking in periodically and bringing us drinks. She gave us many recommendations for our trip and was super friendly. The Walled City Brewery was some of the best food we have had on our trip! My brother in laws got the fish and it was perfect. Highly recommended. Even more recommended if Nichole is working! Oh and who can beat a great BEACH front restaurant for dinner!

18/06/2018: My wife took me to The Sooty Olive for Father's Day, and her choice could not have been better. Selection, service, timing, and price were all good. Parking on the street was convenient and the name hints at a good sense of humour!

Cedar A taste of Lebanon

The Diamond, Derry
16/06/2018: Found this restaurant via TripAdvisor. Small restaurant, atmospheric, and fantastic food. Very friendly staff. If I was visiting Belfast again I would definitely visit.
08/06/2018: Thoroughly researched all restaurants in the area before deciding on Cedar's. Research paid off. Warm welcome from lovely hosts on arrival with plenty of fairy lights and candles for a cosy ambient atmosphere.

Franco's Restaurant

Portora, Fermanagh, <20£
19/06/2018: We had dinner here on wed night it did start to get busy around 7.30pm we did book a table to b safe and was glad we did
17/06/2018: In the area on a family break, we dined at Franco’s ( it came recommended) on a busy Saturday night as part of my mums 80th Birthday celebrations. Initially disappointed that we were relegated to the less atmospheric modern wing, we enjoyed a delicious mix of starters, with lovely pizza and fish for mains. Our only spoiler and worth feeding back was one ‘moody’ member of staff (everyone has an off-day but this more mature guy was good at it). The rest of the staff were courteous, attentive and warm and we couldn’t fault the food and wine. Would definitely re-visit but hopefully on smilers day off!

The Thatch

Belleek and Boa, Fermanagh
27/05/2018: Popped in on our tour of the area, last Saturday morning. Really busy but so friendly, apologised for the wait. It's quaintness, lovely staff and choice of light bites makes it so popular. Really enjoyed the visit
13/05/2018: Just as the Tourist season is about to launch, prices have been increased. It doesn’t seem that long since the last hike. This place is lovely and has a regular set of locals that keep the place afloat all year round. It seems short sighted that for a few months of Toirist-season gain, the Thatch may lose out on some of their all year round regulars who are being priced out.
