16/01/2018: Best brunch/lunch in town. Super fresh homemade salads, soups, mains & sweets @ a reasonable price. When there is a queue it moves very quickly & the food is well worth the wait!
16/01/2018: There was a queue when we revived on Saturday 6 January. I now understand why. Fantastic selection of savory good and sweet treats in a lovely relaxing venue with friendly staff

Ebrington, Derry
09/01/2018: Another amazing meal at Browns. Great pork belly and scallops and pigeon, followed by duck and fillet!! I can't say anything negative about this place or the staff.... Ian in particular. Well worth the drive from Belfast on any night. Love it!!!!
07/01/2018: Ok, I wish TA would give me the chance to review both the food and service here as the food was fantastic 5*, yet the service needs to catch up. Born in Derry, I’ve always heard of the amazing reviews on Browns, Bonds Hill. Years have passed that I’ve never had the chance to go there myself until I returned back to Derry for Christmas/NYE this year 2017. Now, I’ll set the scene. Myself and my GF set out to overindulge in our last meal together before I fly out the next day to return home. We’re met at the door, walked to our table by a tall gentleman and seated. Relaxed, our menus were handed, wine menu followed and we’re left to settle for the appropriate time of around 5/7mins. Great! Another gentleman approached to take our drinks then food order (Neil/Niall I think his name was, black glasses, short black hair). In it being our last night to dinner I ordered the Bin55 NDP 06,it was listed as glorious in the menu and it wasn’t wrong. Post our few sips, A young girl came to serve our starter (the crab and scallops). In perfect Mich guide fashion she proceeds to tell us a little about the dishes (again great) but unfortunately that’s where it ended. Now, I’m perfectly able to do things for myself but when I went to browns I wanted the experience, maybe that of several Star/guide restaurants we’ve been to before. The wine, I poured for myself and my partner all night except for the opening pour of each of the 2 bottles I bought. The mains and cutlery. I don’t know if the young girl serving was mad at someone? but the main dinner plates (filet steak) where placed with a thud on the table that the stardust diner or In fact any diner in NYC would’ve given you. Again glasses left empty on purpose, No wine was poured. Back to the main, I listened to the table behind us of a group of 4/6 people in which whom all involved got an explanation or story with their dishes when served, yet ours however? Not the same treatment, I’m a stickler for a story to the chefs choice and reason for their dish. Upon Asking for extra cutlery we both got our knives served upside down (tip of knife towards us). My partner asked for condiments to accompany her steak fries, Ah??? Again. No condiments brought to the table. With Neil? Standing behind us, I was very abrupt to stop him with a Sturn look on my face and let him know how long we’ve waited on condiments and could he bring them straight away as the restaurant was by no means under pressure or under staffed and with a fast apology and faster delivery they were brought to the table. Finally, with my abrupt approach, although at the end of the night, we seemed to get the service we’ve paid for yet only from Neil. As I end it there. Dinner was £193 in which I then bought a further seating of a themed Italian night for my partner and her friend at £150. So, Was our experience of Browns Derry worth £350 ?? No. Not in the slightest. What about £193?? Again, No. with half the Bill in 2 bottles of Bin55 NDP wine I’d like for it to be served to us.Now, Will I return? Yes. The food was fantastic, it really was. Which is why I Pre paid for a further evening. I am very much also looking forward to My next visit in to Derry in April to check out Browns again. I also hope my Partner is shown a better experience when she returns on the 26th. All in all. Neil/Nial saved the night of Browns for us. Why? As we left, the young girl handed my partner her jacket upon leaving on a very rainy night. Neil seeing this, kindly took the jacket, placed it on her and walked her out to the car with an accompanying umbrella. SAVIOUR. thank you Neil, thank you Chef. Can I recommend this place? YES! Undoubtedly. Maybe we had a semi bad 1st experience, I hope it ends there.

The TapHouse Enniskillen

Castlecoole, Fermanagh
11/01/2018: Had heard wonderful things about this place so thought I would try it ourselves.Got the menu picked and went to order only to be told they had not got what i wanted so ordered something else.Waited and waited till i asked one of the staff who told me it was being plated and would be out directly ,waited for another five to ten minutes and finally it arrived.Food was lovely ,but service slow and a wee update would have been good.
31/12/2017: A bit of an unexpected location as we were staying at the Killyhevlin and didnt realise this was not in the town centre, but none the less it was still just a five minute drive away. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff and service were fantastic. Highly recommend!

Walled City Brewery

Ebrington, Derry
30/12/2017: One of my favorite places I visited, staff was very friendly, beer was great, and food was awesome. Well worth a visit if you are in Derry !
27/12/2017: The Walled city BreweryIS A UNIQUE RESTAURANT AND BREWHOUSE LOCATED IN DERRY-LONDONDERRY, NORTHERN IRELAND.James and his wife Louise HueyAnd Zsolt Dikter manage the place. They have a fully operating brewery and accompanying restaurant in the same building, It is the first of it’s kind in the country that serves crafting local, authentic, premium quality, flavoursome beer and food.We were in a group and James gave us a run through his brewery . They have a beautiful bar setup offering various cocktails and ofcourse incredible beer and authentic food. They also offer gluten-free menu which I must say is very very considerate of them. The whole place is incredible. Attached a few pics!

The Sooty Olive Restaurant

Victoria, Derry, 20-30£
13/01/2018: Booked for 7.30 last night, walked in and told to take a seat, then ignored, for god sake please give us a drink, sell up sell up!Then shown to our table, still no drink, we eventually ordered 2 g and Ts, a beer and a glass of wine, when our starters came we asked for a bottle of wine, a beer and a glass of red, the young lady who took the order didn't write anything down, we were nearly finished our main course when a young man came over and asked was everything ok, we suggested maybe we could get our drinks, he went away and a minute later the original young lady came back and asked "what were those drinks you ordered" !The food was really really good, just a pity the staff are lacking some training. We waited a long time for 1 desert and after asking for the bill, it never came, we had to go up to the counter and ask again.Still had a very nice meal, would recommend to everyone, just sort out these wee issues and it would be perfect.Price for two courses was very reasonable, you could add a couple of pounds to that, no one would notice!!
10/01/2018: Fantastic place to eat food is outstanding anyone visiting derry/londonderry this is a place you should not miss Squid starter is devine Have held parents birthdays in here Sunday lunch is also amazing and really good value Best restaurant in derry in my opinion and i go out every fortnight somewhere different so it’s well up there Go on try you won’t regret it

14/12/2017: I’ve been going to The Point Bar for meals for years and years and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal. There’s a real family atmosphere between the staff and friendly attitude towards their customers. The food is of an excellent standard and is always so delicious. The staff never bat an eyelid with my regular requests for something other than what is standard on the menu. They now also have a cocktail menu . Definitely well worth calling into if visiting the North Coast!

Cafe Merlot

Portora, Fermanagh
15/01/2018: Cafe Merlot is pretty busy Saturday nights and needs booked. Not too noisy, and pleasant, attentive, largely foreign waitstaff.Very pleasant crab starters. The trio of antipasti looked good too.Nicely presented mains, with well seasoned sauce, the rump of lamb being excellent, if maybe a little chewy.Decent array of desserts.Huge wine list, and not over-priced.All in all a very decent meal for considerably less than you would pay in Belfast or Dublin, and no less quality.
13/01/2018: Nice little place to stop for a quick bite. We only had the pannini it was lovely with nice little fried potato bites and little green leaves on the side. Good cappuccino. Good prices. It's not a cheap bite but the slightly higher (10-15%) from your big standard cafe is worth it. Overall decor and atmosphere is old town, classic and pleasant. Feels super old!

The Lime Tree Restaurant

Roeside, Limavady, 30-45£

29/12/2017: The food and service was top notch! Really a throw back to the time of great service from the owners themselves . We went for the three course lunch and all were fab, especially the home made soups and fish mains. The best meal I have had in a long time!
