Pot Belly

Fort, Banbridge
02/12/2018: Food was lovely however the service of the staff in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We had to continually ask for drinks, there was no water offered for the table. After waiting a considerable amount of time for our bill my partner went to get the attention of a staff member who were all talking, two staff members came towards our table and completely ignored us, disappointing service.
27/11/2018: We had roast beef for lunch. It was delicious. Very attentive staff. Really fabulous decor and ambiance. We will be back for dinner.

Belmont Hotel

Ballydown, Banbridge
03/11/2018: Asa frequent traveller i like to stay in different places and get a broader knowledge of a city or country, however, The Belmont will always be my got to place when visiting Belfast.
15/09/2018: Stayed here for one night during a business trip. The rooms are fantastic and the food was equally good, but the over-riding impression I’ll take away from my first ever visit to Northern Ireland was how fun and friendly the staff were, from the receptionist who first greeted me to the very bubbly waitress who served us both dinner and breakfast. If I’m ever back in Norther Ireland I’d definitely stay here again.

Velvet Rose

Dromore North, Banbridge
21/02/2019: It was busy when we arrived so we had to wait for a table. Once seated our order was taken and delivered promptly by pleasant and friendly staff. The special of prawn and salmon curry was very tasty and the generous helping of prawns on the open sandwich was more than adequate and pleasing. The Eve's Pudding which I ordered is a rather unusual item on a desert menu but turned out on arrival to be Queen of Puddings, which nevertheless was very pleasant. Overall it was a good lunch in the very pleasant surroundings of the former Northern bank building.
07/02/2019: The Velvet Rose is found at the site of the old Northern (Danske) Bank on the edge of Dromore's village, opposite the Cathedral, with ample parking to the rear of the building.Downstairs is an eclectic hybrid of a boutique and a baby shop, with attentive sales advisors. Upstairs is a well presented restaurant/coffee shop with attractive décor and comfortable seating.

Ballyward, Banbridge
01/02/2019: Five of us dined in Boyles last night and what a lovely surprise. The decor is minimalist but the seats were comfortable and the small dining room had other guests which did help the atmosphere. The menu was varied and interesting with a midweek deal which was good value. The food arrives quickly and served on warm plated. The quality was excellent. Well done guys on helping us have great night out.
25/01/2019: I have organised two family birthday celebrations in Boyles Dromore. Thank you to Damien for making the organisation easy. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is really tasty and a good selection. Chef is very helpful catering for special dietary requirements and very knowledgeable. Thank you to the whole team for making our parties a success.

Babu's Indian Spice

Gilford, Banbridge
21/02/2019: Dining here on and off for a couple of years - never disappointed! Here a few Tuesday's ago and place was packed. Lots of flavour and good heat without comprimising the flavour. Recommend their Tues and Thursday multi course offer. Young manager Zia, is excellent with service to match. I wish they could fix their Portadown branch, as it is truly awful in flavour, content and service, but is slightly closer to Dungannon. No problem recommending the Gilford branch to lovers of spicey Indian food.
03/02/2019: Absoulety love this Indian! They are super fast, polite, always get the order 100% correct and the flavour is very good. Very well priced and they do offers for days of the week. Highly recommend for any occasion.

21/08/2018: My wife and I would travel regularly for Sunday lunch to the Anglers Rest which is a distance of 20miles. We find the service and food is always first class and Deirdre couldn't be more helpful. We find the atmosphere very homely and friendly. Frank and Dympna

The Albert & Snugg Restaurant

The Cut, Banbridge
18/11/2018: Nice friendly place, great food, service a wee bit slow when busy, but food really worth the wait. £22.00 for a fillet steak like the one I had is really cheap
14/10/2018: Absolutely delicious. Both steak and prawns cooked to perfection. Warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Went to the bar for drinks afterwards where there was live music which was the perfect end to a perfect evening.

Blend & Batch

The Cut, Banbridge
03/12/2018: First time here, lovely staff, young, happy and professional. I took the full breakfast, not your greasy spoon, but beautiful poached eggs, perfectly cooked, toast instead of deep fried muck, tasty bacon and sausage, my tea in a pot was good. My wife enjoyed her salad and our three year old demolished his omelette. The most important word in this text for me is 'professional', can't wait to return and explore your menu .Thank you and well done.
26/11/2018: Called in last week for lunch and had the smashed avocado on toasted sourdough with poached eggs snd a cup of soup. Just what we wanted and so good. Lovely friendly staff who greet you at the door and deal with you very efficiently. I had the chocolate gelato after, which is to die for. My friend had the vanilla with espresso which she said was excellent Best place to eat in Banbridge in my opinion.

Riverside Tea Room

Dromore South, Banbridge
12/02/2019: Best place in Dromore for lunch. Great choice, great food at reasonable prices. Very popular. Always my first choice.

Harry's Bar

The Cut, Banbridge
09/11/2018: Had lunch here yesterday with my other half and it was lovely. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. It was nice and cosy with a good atmosphere. Would highly recommend
03/11/2018: Harry's is a pleasant pub with nooks which afford privacy. Great staff, and good food. Left before karaoke got going so cannot comment. Place failed when I visited ladies they were in very poor condition with very badly fitting toilet seats which were loose. Toilet roll dispenser missing, roll just sitting on sanitary bin. No hot water and hand dryer broken.

Seven Stars

Loughbrickland, Banbridge
24/01/2019: Table booked for 7pm. Arrived on time and seated straight away. Restaurant cold had to keep our costs on for a while. An hour and a half later our meal was served. We asked a member of staff if we had been forgotten about, she said we being taken in order some of the other diners had been in the bar before being shown to a table. No apology for the wait. Food was good but won't be back.
06/01/2019: I don’t leave reviews on these kind of things unless the food is outstanding. Came here tonight with my husband and little boy. Had the chicken Caesar salad for starter (the nicest I have ever had) absolutely huge! Then I had the sirloin steak garlic potatoes and Diane sauce. Absolutely delicious every last part of it. A fantastic restaurant that cooks proper Irish homemade food. And plenty of it! I have not ate as much in a long time and the whole way through my meal me and my husband kept saying “this is unreal!” Such a gem! Will be coming back on a regular basis. In a day when food is rarely homemade and a tiny decoration on the plate this was such a refreshing find for us. Absolutely beautiful. Oh and the staff are friendly and very attentive.

The Bronte Steak House

Bannside, Banbridge
10/03/2019: After dining here a few times a number of years ago we went with high expectations only to be very disappointed. We visited with spouse and children on a quiet Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t at all as expected. Firstly, I don’t think it’s right to leave poor reviews when you don’t mention at the time and give management the chance to address concerns: so I made sure I did at the time. When asked by a staff member when I paid was everything okay - I truthfully confessed we had waited 55 minutes for food despite the restaurant being quiet, that the service wasn’t great (we had to ask for absolutely everything - drinks, glasses, dishes to be taken away etc) and that the starters were awful. I ordered Brie which was like rubber and my husbands prawn and crab starter was dreadful. It was so obviously defrosted badly, was just tiny little prawns in watery, tasteless sauce. He didn’t finish it and he was starving and can usually eat almost anything! My son’s pizza was returned to the kitchen virtually untouched. He said it was like soggy dough and when I tried it he was right: was a cheap frozen pizza with some extra toppings. My steak was okay but the pepper sauce was really horrible and onion rings had been cremated: no onion left and so hard they were impossible to eat. The desserts were okay. All-in-all it was really disappointing and for £57 totally over priced for the poor food. Perhaps most disappointing of all was the member of staff’s reaction when I told her about our poor experience - she said absolutely nothing in response. As a family our tastes are quite simple and we are not hard to please so I can’t understand positive reviews. Maybe we were just there in a bad day for the kitchen staff. One things for sure - we won’t be back anytime soon.
04/03/2019: Recently my Wife and I paid a visit to the Brontë Steak House.
