mclarnons RAMBLE INN

Massereene, Antrim, <20£
03/03/2019: Pleasently surprised. The dinning room is now light and airy. Just had a coat of paint. Nice that it was fine on a weekend.
15/02/2019: Called in on Monday evening for dinner. Food was beautiful. We both had steak which were cooked to perfection. It was very busy for a Monday evening but service was speedy and first class. We hadn't been here for 2 years but will be going back very soon. Also having a spring clean. The lounge was bright and welcoming and the boss man is as ever so welcoming.

Rolo's Fish and Chip Shop

Massereene, Antrim
05/02/2019: Highly recommended - best chippy in COUNTY ANTRIM,, not just Antrim Town - Great loyalty card discount scheme. High recommend the HUGE chicken fillet burger
21/01/2019: I've become a regular at Rolo's because the food is simply brilliant. The cod is fresh daily and the batter is very old school. The battered black pudding is incredible and Linda and the girls are great. Once you've tried it you'll always go back again. Guaranteed.

Top Of The Town

Massereene, Antrim
15/03/2019: Great food and service. Nothing too much trouble. Great pint of Guinness too!! Great selection of mains and Dessert was superb

Dunsilly Hotel Bar and Grill

Massereene, Antrim
27/01/2019: £22 for a carvery which I didn't know until I'd started eating the starters. Ham, turkey and mash weren't nice. Another person at the table ordered curry and had to pay extra for chips which came out underdone. Gave another person a slice of turkey and ham from the carvery as they waited a while and weren't prepared to pay £22. They tried to charge him £22 for this! Disappointing.
14/01/2019: We stumbled across Dunsilly by pure chance as we were looking for somewhere to get together with family and the hotel happens to be halfway between our homes.

Aldergrove, Antrim
09/12/2018: To start with the positives food was amazing no complaints! If you like a hot Madras this is a must, now to the service. We where sat upstairs which is ok but once are plate was sat in front of us we never seen another staff member for rest of the meal not once, didn't check was good ok did wee need drinks nothing! We had to go down stairs to tell them we needed the bill! Joke of a place, really ruined what could have been a great night. Won't be returning felt like we where trouble.
02/11/2018: Whilst staying in the area we asked a local where they would eat. They recommended Spice, what a good recommendation, lots of curries on the menu we had not seen before, staff helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. And best of all reasonably priced

Redz Piano Bar and Grill

Massereene, Antrim
24/02/2019: Decent food, decent price,6 adults 5 kids including drinks and dessert £180, the place won't win a Michelin star but if you are looking for somewhere reasonably price its worth a visit.
23/02/2019: Go here quite regularly. Writing this review because the staff were so great. We went for family lunch with our son, staff were great and very attentive. Food was of good standard, kids portions are great size and our toddler loved it. Husband had the chicken stack which was delicious, served with creamy champ and peppercorn sauce, and I went for the chicken goujons, very tasty. Will be back :)

moes grill

Randalstown, Antrim
29/01/2019: I was visiting friends and family in the Antrim area and we popped over to the large shopping complex called THE JUNCTION. We shopped in the biggest ASDA i had ever seen and went across to Moes Grill for some lunch. It was very busy, which is usually a good sign. We were seated immediately and served efficiently by very helpfull friendly staff. The menu was varied to suit all diets and tastebuds. There were alot of familys up from the south of Ireland and locals enjoying a shopping day out. Great welcome, atmosphere and great food. Very reasonable. Free parking. Wheelchair and buggy friendly. Will definately visit next time in in the area.
16/01/2019: Stopped in Moes Grill for lunch and the service was very good. The food was of a very good quality and reasonable priced.

Alfies Cafe

Massereene, Antrim, <20£
10/01/2019: Stopped in with a work colleague in need of breakfast. Fat, friendly and polite service. Both had the Full Breakfast, changes to items were accommodated. Food served hot and efficiently on clean tables. Will use again.

Ballyrobin Country Lodge Restaurant

Aldergrove, Antrim, 20-30£
05/01/2019: Refused to serve us coffee at 11:20 am!!! We had checked their website & decided to call in en route to the airport for their coffee & croissant offer. We were confronted with a very unfriendly lady who had to go and check, them returned and said it was too late to serve coffee and they were extremely busy. Another girl appeared to confirm this. They also said that their website stated they stopped serving breakfast & coffee at 11am, which it did not! As we left we looked into the restaurant & annex to see only 2 couples sitting there!! Rediculous!! Ever heard of “elevenses”??
25/12/2018: Have eaten here a number of times and always amazed at the quality of the menu and food . Looking forward to another few visits in 2019 with my family and friends .

Ho wah

Massereene, Antrim
19/11/2018: 5 mins from station. Friendly staff. Good quality food and very reasonable prices. We had the set menu. There was plenty to eat and a fair choice of dishes
03/11/2018: Staff are nice and friendly to start! We ordered the black bean chicken, chilli salted chicken, fried rice, noodles, chips, chicken balls and curry sauce! Something basic and it didn’t disappoint! So fresh and tasty we had a lovely meal, thank you!

Stir Restaurant - Maldron Hotel

Aldergrove, Antrim, 30-45£
15/01/2019: This hotel food is outstanding and I cannot praise the Chef high enough, highly recommend the pan fried Chicken with veg and Champ.
23/10/2018: Voyage en groupe touristique avec un arrêt dans l'hôtel. Le diner composé de plats irlandais est délicieux et bien préparés. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Rien à redire sur le personnel accueillant et professionnel.

Treffner's restaurant

Templepatrick, Antrim
10/03/2019: I review thing by honesty, we’ve all herd of the Hilton hotels n how great they are. Well I been to many places and being from NI I find this doesn’t make a mark to what it meant to be. It’s a big name with only standard things. The beds are noisy the rooms are average and the gym n health sweat is that also. The pool is cold being a spa I was expecting warmth. The bar a just that nothing fancy but it comes to the menu n prices. £13 for a sandwich and £7 for a jawbox gin . Very little choice for lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant isn’t open after 3 but people are still able to book afternoon tea . Very confusing when ur hungry. Very disappointed in it but it’s a thing of standard and they very low. I’ve been to place with lesser names n blow this out of the water.
03/02/2019: I had lunch here one Saturday in September. My chicken was very tasty and the accompanying chips were done perfectly too.

Ellie Mays

Templepatrick, Antrim
07/03/2019: This is our local and we are lucky to have it...Whether it is a snack (breaded mushrooms!!) plus drink and great conversation or full meal (steak is excellent) we really love the place...Staff suberb....Saturday afternoons there is a live music session to which any musician is made welcome...good old fashioned pub....
22/02/2019: Nice pub, relaxed atmosphere and great pint of Guiness. Will visit next time in the area. Friendly bar staff also.
