Nobel Cafe

Castle Demesne, Ballymena
15/05/2019: First visit for lunch in years I would visit for breakfast for the frys and can not fault the frys are very good, however lunch today although was nice enough didn't feel it was good value I had a wrap cut into two small halves a tiny poke of chips, hubby had honey chilli chicken side of chips he was still hungry afterwards for the price maybe full portion size would be nice, however as I say nice enough food but could get a meal elsewhere for similar prices and feel full afterwards lol.
12/05/2019: Was the best breakfast although a little expensive but very quick and polite service and always quick to help

Barnish Cafe

Glenshesk, Moyle
09/06/2019: Wir hatten das kleine Cafe im Internet gefunden und sind dann hin, wegen der schönen Bilder und weil wir gerne eine traditionelle Teatime halten wollten.
19/05/2019: Delicious breakfast, homemade scones and tea allowed us to recharge our batteries on an all day tour of the Antrim coast. Gracious host made us feel at home and provided great travel tips as well. Highly recommended stop for a home cooked meal and warm hospitality.

Anne's Tearoom

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
29/01/2019: Called in for coffee and natter.
15/11/2018: First off I have to say the food was amazing, ordered 3 Fry's and coffees and toast. Price was excellent for the amount, you get good hearty Northern Irish Fry's. Food was quick and came out with the coffees. Only downsize was the staff member who served us was a wee bit grumpy (I know we can all have our bad days) but he just mumbled serving us and then as he brought the plate of toast down in putting it on the table the butter portions went flying. I would definitely return but just up the customer service a wee bit.

Billy Andy's

Glynn, Larne
04/06/2019: We have been recommend this restaurant many times. We decided to go there for my husbands birthday as he wanted to try it even though not much vegan options. I called ahead a day before just to highlight that I was a non cheese eating vegetarian. And was informed they could work something out using the set menu options.
03/06/2019: Just back from a meal at Billy Andy’s with my family. Great food 3 courses for £23.50 food was very well presented. Staff very pleasant. I went for 2 courses but the test had little mini deserts any they all said they were amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

Wee Cottage

Garvagh, Coleraine
31/05/2019: While on a full day tour from Belfast, our wonderful guide Michael Lyons from Tours by Locals, called ahead and arranged for a table for our group of 6. Really enjoyed the homemade tomato soup, chicken salad sandwich, and the scones! Very friendly staff and great service. Such a great addition to an already unforgettable day!
26/05/2019: Soup of the day and the fresh made scone are wonderful, never had these before. Home feel environment. Should come again.

mclarnons RAMBLE INN

Massereene, Antrim, <20£
20/05/2019: Was our first visit but will certainly not be our last. Nothing whatsoever to fault. FOOD-ATMOSPHERE-SURROUNDINGS-CLEANLINESS AND STAFF ALL FIRST CLASS !!!!! All at a reasonable cost.
18/05/2019: Stopped in after the North West 200. Service was prompt and food was fantastic. Chicken Caesar salad, chicken curry, and goujons. All were cooked appropriately and very tasty. Friendly staff. A gem.

Kiwi's Brew Bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
01/06/2019: Guinness in a plastic glass?! There should be a law against this. Travelled the length of Ireland & have never been served this before.
29/05/2019: A must stop when visiting Portrush. Great pub food and staff and a great place to watch your favorite team on the TV!!

Marys Bar

Glebe, Magherafelt
30/05/2019: I don’t even like mushrooms as they remind me of dead slugs, but these garlic mushrooms are like little morsels of heaven smothered in the most tasty, creamy, cheesy, garlicky sauce that is making my mouth water at the memory. Dunking sweet potato fries in aforementioned sauce is just off the charts amazing and I would highly recommend it. If you don’t like sticky toffee pudding then quite frankly there is something wrong with you psychologically, but this is the best I’ve ever had, laced with lashings of toffee sauce and ice cream. I left feeling about a stone heavier but oh so satisfied. It’s a five hour drive from Kilkenny but don’t worry, in the words of Arnie himself...I’ll be back.
12/05/2019: Excellent food, staff and entertainment last Friday. Our party was made up of friends who had never been out in Magherafelt-they loved Mary's and were very impressed. A fabulous night! Definitely will be back.

Upstairs @ Joe's

Glenaan, Moyle
02/06/2019: Gereserveerd bij Upstairs Joe's om 20.00 uur. Gezellig restaurant. Hoofdgerechten Linguine frutti di Mare en mosselen genomen. Glaasjes wijn en koffie toe.
30/05/2019: This is the 2nd time I’ve visited and this is my new favourite restaurant in the country. I recommend the seafood chowder, absolutely delicious! My sister had peri peri prawns and I had scampi, cooked to perfection. Absolutely beautiful food, the chefs are fantastic! Friendly helpful staff greeted with a smile as soon as we entered. Cannot wait to return to try something new.

Warkes Deli

Portstewart, Coleraine
30/05/2019: Been going to Warkes a few times a week for years now. I could not fault anything about this coffee shop. Great service, very reasonable prices and the best coffee in Portstewart. Can’t forget home made baking! I’m coeliac so I have to eat a gluten free diet- the majority of coffee shops have the same bought in packaged gluten free buns which aren’t that tasty. But not warkes- they cater for coeliacs with fresh delicious homemade goodies! They even have gluten free breakfast options and lunch. Staff are all great, pleasant and chatty. I would recommend Warkes if your looking for somewhere to go in Portstewart.
27/05/2019: We have never experienced such rude staff. Repeatedly rude. The food and coffee are lovely but I am not sure that I would want to repeat the experience.

Roark's Kitchen

Kinbane, Moyle
03/06/2019: We did not try food, but only the cakes. Those were delicious, almost too big. Perfect place to recover from strolling around all those Game of Thomes filmset places... also recommended for kids...:-)
14/05/2019: I love this restaurant. No matter what you order the food is always beautiful. Always leave room for dessert as the selection of cakes are always worth a taste.

The Bay Cafe

Dalriada, Moyle
26/05/2019: This cafe is next to the harbour with views of the boats. The staff are really nice and food is excellent. We went in twice, once for lunch and had a lovely salad and on last day we went for breakfast. There is a large selection of breakfasts. We went in and it was really busy but the staff are so organised and food was served quickly. I would definitely recommend it
23/05/2019: An excellent place to eat. Lots of choice on the menu, excellent coffee. Right on the coast, so great seaviews from the window s.

The Bushmills Inn Restaurant

Bushmills, Moyle
04/06/2019: Lovely setting with small intimate booths. Staff were friendly and approachable. Had the chicken and duck mains. Unfortunately both were very dry. Ordered the duck medium but was more like well done. Hoped for better particularly for the price. Truffle fries were good and the buttermilk panna cotta was yum :)
01/06/2019: Had a sunny pint in the courtyard before returning for dinner.

Killycrot, Carrickfergus, <20£
16/04/2019: Sozo's food is excellent and the staff cannot be more helpful. Really great spot for a small function, Christmas party etc. Very accommodating.
08/04/2019: Used to work here, went back a few days ago to have a coffee and scone with my friend and was surprised at how down hill it’s gotten. The soya cappuccino had no flavour and was lumpy??? Either cheap soya milk or it was out of date, I’d rather die wondering which of the two it was. The foam had clearly been spooned out of the jug and onto the cup. No design, but rather a mountain of frothy out of date milk with chocolate powder to try and mask the mess (I’ve attached images). The plain scone was homemade but had been sitting a while so had gone stale, but it was then microwaved so the outside was like a rock and the inside soft and gooey, farrrr too moist. The interior of the shop was dirty and really untidy, not sure when it was last cleaned? Certainly not that week anyway. What was supposed to be a peak time for the shop (12pm-1pm) was dead, there was our table and one other table in the shop. Only complaint about the staff is the new girl? She’s English I think, has no customer service skills and was rude to us the whole time. Maybe a vendetta against me, who knows lol. £9 for, frankly, two coffees I couldn’t drink but rather chew, and a scone which was somehow rock solid and dry yet soggy and soft in the centre. Wish I had went somewhere else lmao.
