Mayur Indian Restaurant

Killycrot, Carrickfergus
17/01/2018: I went here for the first time last week for a friend's birthday and was very impressed. The restaurant was spotless and very clean, and also had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and polite, and food was served promptly and efficiently. I ordered chilli tikka masala and thought it was superb, and the dishes my friends had ordered also looked fantastic! They also cater to fussy eaters, as they had no problem leaving an ingredient out of my dish and were able to cook it without. There was a wide variety of dishes available on the menu, I will definitely be back for a future visit to try some of these!
13/01/2018: Great restaurant to wind down in after a busy work week. Extremely welcoming &!helpful & friendly staff. Spotlessly clean inside (always is). Food was excellent - 5 Star

The Boatyard Coffee Shop Coleraine

Dundooan, Coleraine
09/11/2017: Had a foodie friend from England staying for a day so we took a run up the coast and went to the Boatyard for lunch. As always the food was excellent. Two of us had the Swedish flatbreads with roast beef which you haven't tried you should and our friend had one of the daily special which she demolished at speed. I then tried the toffee and apple pie - the pastry was light and crisp and I enjoyed very bite. The coffee was a suitable finale to such a lovely meal. The service was friendly and efficient. This remains one of my favourite coffee shops and just have to find an excuse for another visit!!
06/11/2017: Food is fresh and delicious. AtmosphereIs so relaxed and friendly. Nothing too much hassle. Excellent lunch for the little ones. Great parking and access

05/01/2018: Its been a long time since we last visited Billy Andy's but decided to call in today for lunch. I am so glad we did. The food was really tasty and service was excellent. The place itself is lovely with a nice old world atmosphere. I would definitely return for dinner and would recommend it others.

The Scenic Inn

Stranocum, Ballymoney
15/01/2018: We stopped here while staying at The Hedges. Excellent menu and great service. Very high quality food. Cheesecakes to die for!
03/01/2018: Found this wee spot by accident and we were not disappointed. The first thing we noticed was a lovely roaring fire which was much appreciated on a January day, then the lovely staff who could not do enough for you. We had a chicken fillet burger and a fry, both of which were both superb. Two meals plus drinks for under £17. To quote Arnold......"I'll be back"

Tartine Restaurant at The Distillers Arms

Bushmills, Moyle, 30-45£
25/02/2017: Bushmills has some very good eating spots but one of our favourites is Tartine. Lovely menus with lots of choice for all tastes. On our last visit we had a delicious roasted plaice with garlic prawns ...this was especially good as are all the fish dishes. The staff are knowledgeable and the wine list is far reaching. We always take visiting friends here and look forward to dining here again. We've heard the Sunday carvery is good. Can highly recommend.
20/12/2016: First time here and found the food, service and atmosphere excellent. I would recommend this restaurant if in the Bushmills area. We had the early bird menu and really enjoyed the choice of menu all served with a glass of wine.

The French Rooms

Bushmills, Moyle, 20-30£
24/12/2017: We eat here quite often but this time it was a special Christmas treat. As always the food is excellent with super friendly service from Stuart and Emily. Booking is normally essential as it does get full up especially at weekends.I had a fillet steak and my wife the lamb shank, both meals tasty and cooked to perfection and followed by the cheese platter. Young buck is a delightful blue cheese and my favourite. Coffee is a really nice blend, typically French, strong on flavour and finished the meal off nicely. As always we’ve eaten too much but look forward to our next visit.
13/12/2017: Took a client for lunch, simple food good portions, charming waiters. Simple but delicious French food in a surprising place.

Kiwi's Brew Bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
18/12/2017: If you are in Portrush this bar is a must. Run by a escapee from New Zealand the welcome on a cold Winters night was first class. Live music most weekends and an upstairs bar and music venue for non cover bands.
16/12/2017: One of my favorite locations for a drink as I love ale. Had a few mates out today for a drink and recommended by me for food and drink. My third drink of a 7 man round the ale was off.. The bar man offered to exchange it, severed me a fresh ale and I went to the toilet. When I came back Jade the bar tender suggested that I needed to pay for the replacement ale, as I did.. Disappointed that I was expected to pay for a corked ale that was left on the bar when we left.A regular visitor that won't be back... Pound before customer service.. I have recommended this location for food and drink and now would suggest stay clear..

Brown's Coffee Co.

Ballyclare South, Newtownabbey
11/01/2018: Ended up here by chance as our arranged meeting place was closed. I call it serendipity. I had two americanos and the chilli chicken Panini. My friend's had similar and all plates were devoured. Staff / service and food all top drawer. Coffee to die for. I bought a bag of the root and branch coffee beans (saint's and scholar) to take away. Again absolutely delicious. So much so that I returned today to buy a further bag of Beans for a friend.Highly recommend this coffee stop.
27/12/2017: A great place to meet with friends and have a good catch up, with the bonus of great coffee and yummy treats that are irresistible! Love this place and staff are so lovely and create a great atmosphere

Harbour bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
15/01/2018: Could never tell from location or outside but this is a great authentic real (small) Irish bar with the craic, service and wall memorabilia for a great experience - and a real fire! Superb spot to loose an afternoon or evening. Relaxed during week. Manic at weekends!
12/01/2018: Having dined in the restaurant on a recommendation, we were so pleased . The food was so tasty and such generous portions. The atmosphere was friendly and the service was efficient .It was so nice that we returned the next night and again we were not disappointed.I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Roark's Kitchen

Kinbane, Moyle
26/12/2017: Right on the stunning seafront ( next to filming Game of Thrones). Good coffee & cakes. They'd just opened & we were the only ones there. Friendly chatty ladies running it. Seemed to have quite a selection of homemade cakes & other foods. Higgledy-pickedly place with character. Can sit outside when weather suitable.

06/01/2018: Just home from a really special night away in ardtara! Service fantastic, Tim and Valerie looked after us so well. Dinner top class. Nothing much to do in the area, this is a little hidden quiet spot perfect for relaxing, reading a book by the fire, eating good food and enjoying a nice drink!

Barnish Cafe

Glenshesk, Moyle
22/11/2017: We happened to come upon this lovely cafe while exploring Ireland’s Northern coastline. The owner, Christine, took the time to recommend and write down the “must see” places to visit while in the area. She is a lovely as the food she creates. I couldn’t recommend enough!
13/09/2017: Went for a lunch and arrived too early for the daily special so we picked the breakfast and a wrap. All food is freshly cooked and the staff are excellent; friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely. Don't be put off by the decor, the limited menu and the strange location; well worth a visit. It might look like a disused petrol forecourt, but do go in!

Eden Coffee Shop

Hightown, Newtownabbey
20/11/2017: Love this place for a cheap and tasty fry! Always very friendly staff and great service at a fantastic price. Well worth a visit
27/09/2017: Eden is a small and friendly little coffee shop on the Ballyclare Rd Glengormley serving a good selection of food. Compact clean and the only complaint I could have is that the portions are too big. Always a good spot to take a break from shopping or a quick business lunch but finding a seat can be difficult because of its popularity. A great little coffee shop and always a pleasure to have coffee here.
