The best restaurants serving Italian food in England

Buon apps is our favourite restaurant and we visit at-least once a month. The food is delicious, staff are fantastic and the setting and ambience is perfect. Recently we attended a tasting evening with pairing wines which was wonderful and we can’t wait for the next one!

Fast service. Ice tea drink a little too sweet. Pizza good but add tomato sauce on it. The pasta and salmon taste way too strong... too bad. Overall good restaurant.

Food was alright. Prices are inflated because of their deals for 25% off every day with certain companies. £18 for lasagna that's just as good as a ready meal... Service was great and the staff were very lovely. It was very loud inside as it was school holidays when we went so probably would visit later in the evening to avoid this.

I've been served by Francesco and let me tell you.. I worked in hospitality for 12 years, I was manager of restaurants and this guy is an asset!!! The best thoughtful waiter I've ever seen, I would have offered him a job if I still was in the business! He is the best! Kind, respectful, friendly he's got it all! Well done Francesco! Can’t believe this place is still about!! I found a job through star now as a promoter that needed to be filled in. There was 2 other us before starting the shift the other girl left and I stayed for the shift. I worked there couple years ago and didn’t even get paid AT ALL!!! My messages were completely ignored!! I had to stand out in the cold to promote the bar! On top of that my card was stolen at the end of shift and I was very out of it Kmt. Do not recommend AT ALL.

Came here to get dinner with family, really really disappointed. What they have done is bought a load of Iceland frozen pizzas, stuck a handful of extras on the top and decided that charging £10-12 each is reasonable. Complete con operation, got “bruschetta” which was a slice of toast with cold tinned tomatoes on top which we paid >£5 for. How this place has been open for so long I have no idea, manager/owner was very brash when asked about orders, the waitresses were nice though.

Very good customer service! Our visit was a while ago now, but I have been meaning to write a review to praise the customer service. We came here for lunch before a show, and a noisy family with young children sat behind us. I have autism, so I am sensitive to noise, and was feeling overwhelmed/overstimulated. I asked the staff to be moved, but the lower floor was full of families, and the top area wasn't open yet. The manager very kindly/discreetly moved us to the top area which was a lot quieter. The manager/staff handled it brilliantly, and I am very grateful. The food was excellent, and we had a very enjoyable visit. We hope to come back again soon, thank you!

I have taken time to reflect before writing this review. There are several things but the thing that offends me most is that my friend had a random piece of pepperoni in her otherwise lovely fish meal. We made the server aware and he stuck his finger and thumb into the plate of food to remove it - “l’ll get rid of that for you “! I fully accept that had he taken the meal away to the kitchen he would probably done the same but it did not fill be with confidence in the Food Safety training that staff are given - obvious cross contamination issues and hand hygiene issues. Our table was booked for 6.30 and it was 8pm before we were served any food. If we wanted a drink we had to go and find someone to order from. Online orders were definitely prioritised, lots of those being dispatched as soon as the drivers arrived. The food ( apart from the vegan lasagne) was really nice but we were served in dribs and drabs with some of our party being left without food for as long as it took for some to eat theirs. We were offered free drinks as compensation what we actually got was 2teas, 3 coffees and a hot chocolate- the cold drinks were not included. The tea was served with fake cut glass tumblers to drink it out of - an accident waiting to happen pouring hot liquid into glass! The reason given was that they only had one cup. I could have understood that if the place had been full of people drinking tea, but it wasn’t. The sad thing is that having written over 1K words I have yet to mention the food! I could go on and on with bad service comments but I will stop and mention the food because hopefully they will address the service issues ASAP I had crispy belly pork, exactly as described with beautifully cooked vegetables. All of the salad/garnishes on all of the meals were lovely and fresh. The people either side of me had fish and chicken, also lovely with the same vegetables as mine. Pizzas looked yummy too. Would I go again? Maybe a different restaurant in the same chain.

We have eaten here this evening as a couple. We wanted a date night without the little ones - food was really tasty and the atmosphere was very chilled. We had garlic mushrooms and antipasto for starters and carbonara and beef stroganoff for main - all of the food was presented lovely and more importantly tasted amazing. Would definitely come back ❤️. Thank you xx

Manager (Dorota) made fun of a foreign customer for not giving the right amount. When serving the lady in front of me she told her to calm down when she corrected her order (??) My coffee order was correct but the rudeness gave me chills and coffee tasted like water. Zero customer service skills, zero barista skills. Additional training is clearly needed!!!

Restricted menu and slow service Disappointed with my visit to this place. I usually eat here when I stay at the hotel The menu has been reduced for a reason that was not explained If you are vegetarian then best go elsewhere where Waited more than an hour for a main meal and the restaurant was basically empty When the food did arrive the quality wasn’t brilliant
