The Cuan

Strangford, Down, <20£
15/12/2018: Forty of our walking group had a wonderful Christmas Lunch after our walk. There was a great choice in an imaginative menu. We were able to supply our choices a week before hand so the service was very swift from very friendly and helpful staff. Most important of all the food was delicious and very attractively presented. All our members were very complimentary about the food.. Some have indicated that they will bring their friends back. The Restaurant was very understanding when three members who booked were unable to attend due to illness and they did not charge for them. Altogether a great experience.
09/12/2018: Very friendly service Great advice on food and local attractions Fantastic for game of thrones fans with a great book of images taken locally with cast and crew

Pot Belly

Fort, Banbridge
02/12/2018: Food was lovely however the service of the staff in the restaurant left a lot to be desired. We had to continually ask for drinks, there was no water offered for the table. After waiting a considerable amount of time for our bill my partner went to get the attention of a staff member who were all talking, two staff members came towards our table and completely ignored us, disappointing service.
27/11/2018: We had roast beef for lunch. It was delicious. Very attentive staff. Really fabulous decor and ambiance. We will be back for dinner.

Ballyward, Banbridge
12/12/2018: Meal never disappoints. Great variety of dishes to choose from at reasonable prices. Excellent service.
21/10/2018: Had a superb meal here last night, staff very attentive service very good, would recommend the chilli beef and the chicken Kiev both very delicious Would definitely recommend and return here again!!

Yellow Heifer

Rathfriland, Banbridge
11/12/2018: Excellent surroundings, cosy, excellent service, very pleasant, food to die for. Couldn't fault it. Its quaint style sets for a very relaxed and enjoyable occasion. Plenty of room to suit large or small groups. Very accommodating.
09/12/2018: On a previous visit to The Yellow Heifer I ordered the fish special and though the portion was very small I thought it was a one off.

Moira, Lisburn
27/11/2018: I have been here a few times now and so thought it was time to write a review. I always have a panini of some description, sometimes the special, and I've had coffee here too. The food has always been very nice, with a good variety in a plentiful side salad. The one time I had a mocha it was reasonable too. The tray bakes all look lovely, I took away one the first time I visited and it was good, certainly better than the bakery up the road. The prices of everything are all reasonable too.
24/10/2018: The awesome food was so delicious And the portion sizes were auspicious The staff were sweet and scrumptious

The Dundrum Inn

Dundrum, Down
04/11/2018: Staying up in dundrum for few days and ordered two roast beef dinners to take out.really lovely and tasty.well presented on a plate which we returned later.would recommend the dinners here....staff very friendly.keep up the good work!
28/10/2018: Fine dining this is not, but if you want good comfort food in good surroundings with great service (thank you Sharon) then this is the place to go. We went with friends of ours last night, this was our second visit. The food is simple but does exactly as it says on the Tin. We had burgers, fish and chips and macaroni cheese all very tasty. Wonderful cocktails and great craic. Just be aware of the portions they are pretty huge. We had a really lovely evening. Thank you

Savoy Cafe

Dundrum, Down
03/08/2018: Ate one of their specialties on toasted sourdough "bread". Unable to cut the bread which was more like a crisp biscuit it was so dry. Asked for fresh slice as bread seemed quite stale or over toasted. No offer of alternative or replacement or reduction in price. Told the bread was fresh by owner's son. Take it or leave it approach to customer requests. Cost driven approach I suspect even though a slice costs only a few pence against a price for the snack of £5.50. Beware!
29/06/2018: Mot delicious white chocolate and raspberry scone ever. Scones so fresh, nice tea, nice coffee would love to go back sometime.

Lily johnstons

Hillsborough, Lisburn
03/11/2018: Went for dinner last night we both had the beef and bird it was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the chicken was very tasty. We were served by the lovely Eithne and Paula . They were so friendly and attentive. They really make you feel so welcomed. I will definitely be back
30/09/2018: Hadn’t booked But called in for evening meal for two,we were told there was a lot of bookings (half the tables were empty and no one sat at them the whole time we were there)

Cafe Brazilia

Harbour, North Down
18/11/2018: Visited last night 2 of us for the evening menu, freebie starter of garlic bread with rosemary and garlic butter, very tasty, we had a main course each both the same, oven baked chicken breast, rich tomato sauce topped with fresh mozzarella & oregano our chosen side was a tasty house salad, other fries & potato dishes available, very tasty and flavoursome, we had a bottle of red that had a byo charge of £3. Not a problem, a tasty & good value dinner, with several options including a very interesting pizza menu. All in a first class meal , will be back, without any doubt.
09/11/2018: Went last night for coffee but ended up having dinner. My husband had the steak and I had gluten free pizza. Both were excellent. Very good value, freshly cooked food and very pleasant staff.

Dunmurry, Lisburn
26/09/2018: food amazing; chef sean is so helpful as i am gluten intolerant he has has anything to help me. fab been going for years and would not go any where else. hidden gem to say the least
22/07/2018: Myself and my hubby visited for first time during the week and had lunch. I said to my husband that I will base my judgement on how they serve their mash patatoes, I love my spuds but I’m sick of being served cornflour type spuds..well, I wasn’t disappointed, I had champ and it was lovely. The barmen were pleasant and attentive. I’d definitely recommend here for a bit of delicious lunch at half the price of other local bars/restaurants

Hillmount Bangor

Silverstream, North Down
14/11/2018: I do go here quite a lot as its within walking distance and I do like it here.
06/11/2018: We called in here for coffee as we have done before and produced our "free coffee" card only to discover that they'd done away with it and replaced it with a new "Privilege" card. We got 1 point on it for each pound spent but we don't know yet what this will bring. The girl stated that offers would be displayed in store or on their Facebook Page (really useful when I'm not on Facebook and don't intend to ever be!) But apparently, I'll get a monthly email as an update. Anyway, time will tell. Coffee and scones were as good as usual.

Golf Links House Restuarant

Murlough, Down
16/09/2018: hi we went here very good place the staff lacking and the food can be ok sometimes its burned and tasteless i would go back to see if its the chef i would say its the managers and prices r mad to ......
04/09/2018: I booked a surprise birthday Sunday lunch for my husband and his family. There were 9 adults and 3 kids in total, and everyone had a great experience. The food was excellent and very good value and the service was very friendly. The set menu was £15 for 2 courses and £17 for 3 which we thought was great value. I had the pork medallions for main course and I would order it again. My 18 yr old daughter is a pescatarian and can be hard to please but her sea bass with noodles more than pleased her. The 3 kids were the only ones who had deserts but wow they look amazing. Everyone texted me later to say what a lovely meal it was, so I felt the whole thing was a great success and we will definitely go there again as a family.

Seven Stars

Loughbrickland, Banbridge
05/11/2018: Food is very bland, and it was like sitting in and old persons waiting home there was no atmosphere in the place
01/11/2018: Visted the 7 stars for evening meal. The staff bend over backwards to accommodate and ensure you are treated with their 100% attention. Menu varied and most famous for its steaks which are locally sourced and melt in u mouth. Beware........portions are huge.

linen hill kitchen & Deli

Ballydown, Banbridge
25/11/2018: Called in for a bit of lunch but was quickly regretting it when I had to take a dirty manky cup back and ask for a clean one !! Bad start but the food was ok, nothing special but £14 for a so called Steak Sandwich is way over priced and it was very chewy and full of fatty bits.Sweet potato fries were very tasty. Expected more but left a bit disappointed.
22/11/2018: We drop in here quite regularly to "stock up " on supplies in The Boulevard and Tesco. Shopping here in the North still is far more reasonable than down home!

The Tap Room at Hilden Brewery

Hilden, Lisburn, 20-30£
20/09/2018: Went for Christmas Dinner with my company. The place is very nice, food delucious. After the dinner we had a party with music and i had a good time
01/09/2018: I had two visits to the Tap Room in fairly quick session, the first time with my other half and the second time with friends. It would not have been my choice for the second trip, as it was pretty rubbish the first time, but hey ho it wasn’t up to me.
