The Cuan

Strangford, Down, <20£
14/06/2019: We stopped off at here during our Game of Thrones tour. Excellent food, friendly service and very clean. Would eat here again.
02/06/2019: We really ejoyed our langostinos and the creamy crab claws were rich and delicious. The restaurant/hotel owner came by to check on us and was a wonderful host!

Yellow Heifer

Rathfriland, Banbridge
07/06/2019: A hidden gem in the hidden gem that is South Armagh , great menu great prices , best food around by far
13/05/2019: Food was nice but overpriced for what it was. The table we were at was so cramped and not very comfortable for a relaxing meal with friends. Not really worth the hype for me

Ballyward, Banbridge
14/06/2019: Stayed here for the first time last week.
31/05/2019: Very friendly, outgoing staff they made us feel extremely welcome as strangers this was our first visit here. We'd heard great reports from friends, well worth a visit, a hidden gem in county Down. The food was excellent and served extremely quickly.

Pot Belly

Fort, Banbridge
04/06/2019: Visited the Pot Belly for couples night out - very busy night close to Christmas but from start to finish a very pleasant experience - very friendly staff - beautiful meal and despite restaurant being fully booked all went very smooth - cannot wait to go back
26/05/2019: We were very well looked after by the host who also explained the history of the building. We ordered whilst having cocktails and were invited to our table when the meal was ready to serve. The meal was a bit expensive, but excellent. I would love to go again, but our schedule does not permit.

Moira, Lisburn
24/02/2019: I collected some customers from the airport and stopped off to introduce them to their first Irish breakfast, I was very impressed that I could order a mini version, perfectly cooked, grease free. Coffee was a lovely blend and we will definitely be back.
11/02/2019: Called in on our way to Portadown. We ere welcomed in by staff who even had a bit of character and light banter. We sat down - loved the stone decor. We ordered two small fry’s - they were spot on! The perfect size and let the missus swop a fried egg for a poached egg. Topped up our coffees free of charge when the meal came. Took a couple of scones for my friends o. portadown and they loved them. Defo be back.

Dunmurry, Lisburn
05/03/2019: Visité aquí hoy con mi hijo para almorzar y qué puedo decir, ¡aparte de que fue una gran experiencia!
27/02/2019: went for lunch, disappointed very small menu, we enjoyed what we had. will definitely return for dinner. service was first class

Lily johnstons

Hillsborough, Lisburn
12/06/2019: Prompt service. Food was amazing but by far Staff member Owen was lovely and catered for us from the moment we walked in. He even came by at the end of his shift to wish us well.
10/05/2019: A traditional pub with people, noise and great food! The chef came out to talk to us and we had a great time. The food so good first night, we returned there our second night instead of trying to find somewhere else! Try the burger (thick & juicy) or the chicken/bacon on ciabatta sandwich. The chips are some of the best in Ireland!

The Dundrum Inn

Dundrum, Down
04/11/2018: Staying up in dundrum for few days and ordered two roast beef dinners to take out.really lovely and tasty.well presented on a plate which we returned later.would recommend the dinners here....staff very friendly.keep up the good work!
28/10/2018: Fine dining this is not, but if you want good comfort food in good surroundings with great service (thank you Sharon) then this is the place to go. We went with friends of ours last night, this was our second visit. The food is simple but does exactly as it says on the Tin. We had burgers, fish and chips and macaroni cheese all very tasty. Wonderful cocktails and great craic. Just be aware of the portions they are pretty huge. We had a really lovely evening. Thank you

Cafe Brazilia

Harbour, North Down
24/05/2019: Attended today with my mother-in-law. Meal was very disappointing. I would point out that this is my favourite restaurant for breakfast/lunch in Bangor. Always the one I suggest. Today we had a very disappointing lunch. However, upon reflection I wish to comment and concentrate on the owner rather than the food. She noticed a plate of food left, she sent someone to enquire if there was a problem, she came to us directly to discuss, she insisting on no charge, she cared. Today we were disappointed with food, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about how it was dealt with. We didn't need to complain, it was picked up and detected by the owner herself, it was addressed and it was taken on board.
07/05/2019: We eat her often. Scones and coffee excellent. Staff pleasant and friendly. Strange serving system. One member of staff takes your order but doesn't bring it to your table. A different staff member does this. Sometimes parts of your order are missed as a result.

Ardglass Golf Club

Ardglass, Down
16/06/2019: Ein Muss wenn man in der Nähe ist. Direkt am Meer, raues Klima, wilde Natur. Auch das Clubhouse ist ein Besuch wert.
08/06/2019: Soo expensive to play ( we were mid week )the green fees have certainly risen in the past few years ! We were told to go online as it was a cheaper option so £100 dropped to £90 each !!

Savoy Cafe

Dundrum, Down
16/06/2019: Stopped at the Savoy cafe for a bite to eat with the family and the dogs .they have a nice seating area outside that is very roomy and sheltered what is a bonus when you have a horse of a dog like us .the order was taken very quickly .the wait wasnt long before the food came .it was all fantastic especially my burgerwho ever made it is killing it in the kitchen well done only criticism is they don't take card payments. But no biggy with a cash machine next door
08/05/2019: Lovely cafe with friendly and courteous staff. Good menu with great choices. Had the broccoli and cheese soup which was delicious and had a sandwich with it which was well filled and ingredients very fresh. Wife had an open prawn sandwich which there was plenty of and she enjoyed the accompanying fresh salad. If in Newcastle call in, you wont be disappointed.

Golf Links House Restuarant

Murlough, Down
09/06/2019: Good food, good portions, good service, good service - very busy with locals which is always a good sign.
28/05/2019: Everytime we visit Newcastle, as a family we always call into the Golf Links. The staff are amazing with the kids, always putting smiles on their faces & guaranteed a good feed & not overpriced either.

Holywood Fish Cafe

Holywood Priory, North Down
01/06/2019: They do not answer the phone for telephone orders and have staff of one to cook, take the orders, serve the restaurant, cook the food, was the dishes, do the till. Can you not employ one spare pair of hands? You've now got 6 bad reviews 50 of your total.
06/05/2019: Visited today at lunchtime with the kids .Its the May Fair so very busy.Staff so helpful with bringing the pram upstairs and the waiting staff who were all quite young couldn’t do enough for us and were so pleasant considering they were so busy

Comber East, Ards
27/05/2019: I go here from time to time to get a good honest home cooked breakfast or lunch with great service, reasonable prices and I am made feel very welcome. Great too for children’s meals, brilliant alternative to McDonald’s with a wide variety to choose from. I’ve lived in the area for about twelve years and only been coming to the Willow Tree for about two. Give it a try, once discovered you’ll be hooked.
22/03/2019: This was our first visit and we were really delighted the surroundings are very homely and welcoming, the staff were really lovely and the 3 different dishes we had were all excellent. I have enjoyed eating down in Comber many times but Willow Tree is most definitely my new favourite

The Tap Room at Hilden Brewery

Hilden, Lisburn, 20-30£
26/04/2019: Visited for the first time last month with my family. Loved the setting, can imagine why people have their wedding reception here. We got the bread and dips to start which were lovely! The sirloin steak and chips were amazing and great value as it was a special. Everyone was happy with their meals, the only thing was my sister ordered chips as a side and the waitress claimed she hadn't. We did have enough in the end so it didn't matter that much. I'd definitely go back again anyway!
26/03/2019: Wife & I were in the Lisburn area but wanted to avoid the usual town centre traffic, so for the first time picked the Tap Room for lunch. Started with a tasty selection of breads, olives & dips. Wife had steak & ale pie, and crisp pork belly for me. Both were well cooked and presented, and good value. Only downside was that I was driving and so couldn’t sample the brewery’s craft beers. Upside of that is the excuse to pay a repeat visit, with the wife driving next time!
