Me and my friends went there for an early dinner! The best fish and chips ever! Very good price! Ooh and amazing tacos too! The outside tables are the best. You get a cute ambience light after the sun is set. Great place!

I ordered two portions of small chips during the daytime, and sat down while waiting for them to be cooked. I observed the chips being taken from a bucket, placed in the sink, and then transferred from the sink to the fry basket. I also saw the same sink being used to wash hands afterward. When I received the chips and tried them, they had a very strange taste that I couldn't identify, but it was very unpleasant. I suspect some form of cross-contamination. Additionally, the service was unwelcoming, and I felt like a nuisance for ordering. Avoid!!

Chicken kebab wasn't especially stand out, neither were the chicken wings but the portion of chips added to them was generous. It wasn't bad, just unfortunately I found it to be quite generic.

Just had the worst ever Fish Chips and Mushy peas, and at almost £13-00 I wish I had gone to the burger place with the 'M' sign instead. The fish was mainly hardened batter, with 50% of it wafer thin and bland, no taste at all, the chips were pathetic anorexic attempts, threw nearly all away for the birds, then the mushy peas, firstly it was mainly just pea water, and the cartons are a joke, with a false bottom giving the appearance of a much larger portion of the pea juice, tasteless as well. A real poor experience overall, if I had the time I would have returned them, but was on a long drive, and at 7.30pm I was not prepared to drive back.

Food was delicious 😋 . Friendly service. The tastiest fries 🍟 I have ever tried. Really tasty pita, well seasoned meats, delicious sources. Recommended.

i have lived 100 yds from this chippy and only ever been in once when i moved into the area 16 years ago ..i did not retirn because it was dirty and unfriendly staff and poor quality offering ...i went in today friday 15th nov as a one off ..definately will not return ...cold stale battered chips ..smell of very stale cheap cooking oil ...these chip shops who orange batter their chips us a masking for poor quality cheaper potatoes ..cleanliness also left a lot to be desired and again unfriendly staff...will not be going ever again ...

I’ve always loved five guys. I even worked at five guys myself - love the atmosphere, love the people & I love the vibe. The food is top tier. However the fries PLEASE PLEASE the fries nowadays is tasting like cardboard😭don’t fry them for too long and don’t let them be too soggy, also don’t make them too salty likewise with the cajun😭 I ordered my food from Colchester five guys - my food was great but my fries tasted like cardboard. I had to chuck them away! No hate towards five guys x but let’s improve the fries please. Lots of love ❤️
