L'amuse Bouche Restaurant

Priory, Malvern Hills
16/03/2020: Came for a family birthday. We had a nice table in the window looking out onto the bridge and waterfall.. There is a very nice ambience here
12/03/2020: Though we didnt stay at the hotel, we ate at the restaurant. We started in the lounge and looked at the menus adn the wine list, and after talking to the host, we chose a wonderful bottle of Italian wine, very smooth silky and full bodied. The restaurant knew that my wife was vegan and I didnt eat red meat, but there were options on the main menu that were perfect anyway. My wife had a starter with beetroot and a main with a colourful array of vegetables. I had the scallops and then the halibut, both tasty and beautifully presented. We even had dessers of creme brulee and a sorbet - on top of an amuse bouche, hot bread and butter (churned by the hotel - one with marmite which I love) another bottle of wine and a glass of port or two, we had a great meal and waddled off home happy.

La Dolce Vita

Quarry and Coton Hill, Shropshire, 30-45£
24/03/2020: I had to come back following my last visit!
19/03/2020: I never usually write reviews (or take photos of my food) but this food was so good I have to share it, you HAVE to visit. Visited yesterday (18th March), we have lived in Shrewsbury the whole time this restaurant has been open but for some reason we have never visited. What a mistake that is, the food and service was amazing. Complimentary salt and vinegar nuts (which they should sell by the bag) and a cheese dough ball, carpaccio, crostini with a mixture of toppings, cod loin and lamb rump washed down with a couple of beers and a lovely house white wine. My husband commented that its the best lamb he had ever tasted. We will definitely be visiting more often, need to support local businesses at this testing time.

Whitchurch North, Shropshire
29/03/2020: We managed to book a table last minute, not usually possible, to celebrate our Ruby anniversary, when planned trip was cancelled. How thrilled we were to be there on what turned out to be closing night. The food was fabulous and the service as welcoming, friendly and efficient as usual. We wish Jo and all the staff all the best during the shut down and look forward to returning as soon as they are open. Thanks for a special evening.
28/03/2020: Completely faultless every-time!

No 3 Restaurant & Bar

Ross-on-Wye East, Herefordshire, County of
14/03/2020: Dined out for a birthday surprise which I had to book 60 days previous to get a table! Was not disappointed amazing food and amazing service , thanks for a great evening
13/03/2020: Having made a reservation at the last minute we were pleased to have been able to get a table. This is a restaurant that has an amazing reputation in the local area and is one that booking a table is generally a must. The food was great, served promptly and presented well on the plate. This is a compact restaurant, although not cramped by any imagination if you are looking for a venue to have a private conversation you may want to go somewhere else.. Great staff and owners that cannot do enough to make your evening (or lunch) a very enjoyable experience indeed, well done!!

Orles Barn Hotel Restaurant

Ross-on-Wye West, Herefordshire, County of, >100£
24/03/2020: What more can one ask for? Warm welcoming owners, friendly attentive staff, spacious well thought out and very comfortable bedroom, a relaxing bar and pleasant restaurant with well thought out interesting menu selections and a great functional wine list at very sensible prices. I wish I could enjoy every short break as much as I enjoyed this one.
16/03/2020: Only room available on the night was their "smallest double." It was still a reasonable size with large comfortable bed and en-suite. Restaurant for dinner was super, and also reasonably priced. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Staff also very friendly. Really nice stay, pity it was only one night, but we've booked to stay again.

The Town House

Market Drayton East, Shropshire, 20-30£
20/02/2020: The town house team were friendly and professional in dealing with our large group. They got all pre orders right, with beautiful food, and even were able to deal with last minute changes. They were kind and thoughtful in serving the children's meals first, and the desserts were all we talked about when we got home! Thank you for hosting our celebration impeccably. Highly recommended - we'd love to return when back in the area.
02/02/2020: We came to celebrate an anniversary. Table for 5 and everyone had a good meal. Main course and sweet were very well cooked.

Grand Central Kitchen Birmingham

Ladywood, Birmingham
28/03/2020: One of the best eateries in Birmingham City Centre, Food is delicious and served by staff with high level of customer service.
21/03/2020: The behavior of the staff was excellent and the food quality and environment was excellent ***** best in birmingham

Ladywood, Birmingham
05/04/2020: The food here is simply great and even some of the courses were recognisable from TV. The wine is also very nice and they stock "Wild Boy" which is my favourite blend going.
16/03/2020: Went for Brummie Tapas. Amazing experience for a Michelin star visit, cannot daily the food or service. Given 4/5 because the toilets were disappointing - a bit dated and not the cleanest when we visited.

The Red Lion Inn

Llangarron, Herefordshire, County of, <20£
23/03/2020: We had booked the red lion for mother's day Sunday lunch a while ago before the sudden swift movement of the Corona Virus gripped the UK and forced the Pubs/Restaurants on Friday last. Toni and Kath were amazing in communication leafing up to this and rang me almost immediately after the decision to close was made and offered if we wanted, takeaway Roast Dinners. We went with this and it was just superb. We arranged for 2pm to pick it up and got there. Everything was ready and amazingly packed and very hot. We drove the six miles back to the house unwrapped and WOW, what an amazing spread. Just as we had pre ordered. Starters and mains for us all. Thanks you so much Ladies and your chefs. Meats were amazing and great portions (enough for sandwiches today) and veg, gravy and sauces and the most amazing Yorkshires. Once we again have brighter days, we will return and enjoy a proper knees up at the Red Lion, Petersfield. Good luck to you all and stay safe. ❤️
22/03/2020: A credit to Kath and staff. Very welcoming and friendly. Excellent menu and food is delicious.

Stowe, Lichfield
19/05/2020: We attended this restaurant in January 2020, the experience itself was overall pretty good. Unfortunately there was around three mistakes during service, the host and staff were very apologetic and comped the drinks on our bill which was greatly appreciated. I look forward to a return visit once Covid-19 has been further mitigated.
15/03/2020: We feel very lucky to have larder on our doorstep!

Casa Naranjo

Quarry and Coton Hill, Shropshire, 20-30£
15/03/2020: We visited here on the 14th of March on a trip to Shrewsbury.
14/03/2020: Very special catch up of friends, Dubai being the common denominator, needed a special location and bot we were not disappointed, superb tapas, superb Spanish wine and above all superb and friendly service for a table of 12 people from some dedicated fabulous people, keep on doing what you do guys, it really works.

Viceroy Tandoori

Ladywood, Birmingham, <20£
24/02/2020: We'd had an excellent meal at the Jojolapa Nepalese and the head waiter there recommended Viceroy. There were more than 6 of us so you can only go for one of the set menus but the lower of those included poppadum, a chicken and huge prawn starter, followed by fish, lamb, chicken and veggie curries with rice and naan, followed by coffee. All very tasty although some of our number felt the chilli heat from the mains. Good selection of beers and wines - the usual Cobra on draft but supplemented by a wider range including some different bottles. Very attentive service
22/02/2020: Superb variety of food on the menu, food and wine both delicious. Cosy, comfortable dining and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Ayo Gorkhali

Forebridge, Stafford
12/03/2020: This place is truly special. I’ve visited on two occasions with groups and both times we’ve all been very impressed. Staff are friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is cosy. The food is just unreal, so much flavour. Good veggie options too - me and my friend shared some spiced paneer, aubergine and chickpea in curry, the bread selection and a popped rice dish. All so delicious. Our friends ordered curries and were very happy with their choices too. Good booze selection also. Can’t fault it! Easily the best in Stafford.
08/03/2020: Ayo Gorkhali is a brilliant Nepalese restaurant, it offers by far the best curry dishes in Stafford, the food is fantastic. We visit this restaurant pretty much every week and are always treated really well and provided with some amazing food. Mr Chabbi has done a fantastic job, his team are always attentive, alert and professional, nothing is ever too much trouble.
