18/04/2019: A lovely pub with dogs welcome in the bar area. Deservedly popular so worth booking during peak times. Delicious fresh food served with care by friendly and helpful staff.
15/04/2019: What a great find, halfway Chichester and London, family birthday lunch, lovely old pub, with superb staff.

Daniele Sicillian Restaurant

Farnham Weybourne and Badshot Lea, Waverley
15/04/2019: Have always wanted to eat here and it wasn’t a disappointment. Lovely ambience, attentive staff and tasty food. Will definitely be returning
13/04/2019: We hired the venue for exclusive use and had the most amazing evening.

The Barn at Alfold

Alfold, Cranleigh Rural and Ellens Green, Waverley, 20-30£
15/04/2019: Not had such a lovely meal in ages! Food ambiance service all excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Menue was excellent for choice, food served quickly and very hot! Would recommend to anyone. Will be returning soon!
14/04/2019: We took my mum here for Mothering Sunday lunch and it was phenomenal !! All the food looked delicious but we were particularly keen to sample the Sunday roasts (of which there is a fantastic choice of meats and veggie options) The meals came with all the trimmings plus lots of different types of veggies. Extra gravy also appeared.

The Red Lion Inn

Shamley Green and Cranleigh North, Waverley, <20£
18/04/2019: Every time we go here, the food is tremendous - imaginative, tasty, wholesome, beautifully served, generous portions with friendly and helpful people running it. Highly recommended
17/04/2019: We were 3 ladies having a girls evening meal out. Grandmother, daughter and granddaughter. This was our first visit. The pub was very clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was beautifully cooked with good portions. We had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We normally eat out in Cranleigh but fancied a change...glad we did.

The White Hart

Witley and Hambledon, Waverley
14/04/2019: Went there for a late lunch with family. My wife had the ribs which were delicious and I had the #BOTM with scotch egg, blood pudding, bacon, cheese and celeriac. Really tasty! And their whiskey choice is good too!
13/04/2019: Arrived early evening and were seated quickly, we chose three starters, octopus with Chirizo and potatoes, spicy chicken wings and hummus with pitta.

The Donkey

Frensham, Dockenfield and Tilford, Waverley
16/04/2019: A great little pub with an interesting history. Pretty small inside, so looking forward to visiting when it is a bit warmer and the garden area is usable. Has some donkeys on site, so great for the kids. Food was excellent (roast beef in my case), with a great local ale to go with it. Well worth a visit, but if you are coming from the Farnham direction, the turn into the entrance is very tight for larger vehicles.
01/04/2019: I am not normally a fan of eating out on days like Mothers Day, Valentines day etc as I feel that standards go down in an attempt to get as many people through the door as possible but this was absolutely not the case here. We had the most delicious Sunday roast ever. The portions were very generous, the food all home cooked and fresh. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and the service was great. Only one small complaint and that was because the food was so delicious I ate too much......hardly a complaint is it! I would definately reccomend this place - and I am very fussy!

Jolly Farmer

Bramley, Busbridge and Hascombe, Waverley
06/04/2019: I personally choose to Dine my Mum/ wife before or after Mothers Day
05/04/2019: Service was ok but nothing special, the bartender was extremely nosy and got too personal for my liking and then sharing this information with his immoral locals creating a rather this rather dirty atmosphere. This is not to the point but he will understand as I don't want to express myself freely for his sake. He then kicked me out for standing up for myself from his loser local clients. All I wanted was a peaceful drink but if you're not a local or look different I doubt you'll be getting that.

Changing Perceptions

Godalming Central and Ockford, Waverley
22/02/2019: Lovely surroundings. Really good coffe and some really creative and good value furniture to be purchased too.
19/02/2019: We recently visited Changing Perceptions and I’m so glad we did.

The Spotted Cow

Farnham Bourne, Waverley, 30-45£
18/04/2019: After viewing the spottedcows website and reading some reviews we were looking forward to dining here, upon first arriving it looked very nice from the outside but it was quickly made obvious if you weren’t a rich loud obnoxious local from the surrounding area then you were not important enough to be greated properly and shoved into a corner to order some watered down spirits in the tatty dining area, the food was okay at best well at least the starters were as for the mains we had the fish and chips and an Indian curry the chips were the best part of one and the other had chicken which was drier than the locals sense of humour waiters understood what seemed like nothing you asked for asked for a drink which didn’t arrive also a side which didn’t arrive after we had finished the starters after we had waiting ages for them the mains came before anyone had checked back and cleared the table so everything was just plonked down in front of us and we had to ask the waiter to remove the old plates so we actually had room to eat, all in all it was bland WAY over priced for what it was and all the drinks had been diluted the only quick service we had was when we asked for the bill I’d avoid until they up their game
16/04/2019: This is a nice venue with beautiful garden and a great place for the kids to play services is good for the most part I can’t complain about it , I had roast chicken which as a meal worth the price and was good , I was a little disappointed that the roast chicken was really a grill chicken fillet and the spuds were not 100% crispy but all in all it was a good meal

Cote Brasserie - Farnham

Farnham Castle, Waverley
18/04/2019: We just love going to Cote and this time was no exception. Enjoying a complementary 'French 75' cocktail was a great start, followed by delicious pan-roasted haddock and rounding off with mouth-watering tarte au citron. What a feast! And our waitress, Becky could not have been more welcoming, friendly and efficient. Another superb occasion at Cote and a top rating for Joanna and her lovely staff. Once again, many thanks to you all.
14/04/2019: Had lunch at the Cote Brasserie in the Lion and Lamb Courtyard. The food was delicious and the service was very good. We had the hamburgers which were cooked to perfection along with a glass of tasty wine - all at reasonable prices.

The Winterton Arms

Chiddingfold and Dunsfold, Waverley
07/04/2019: Our first visit on a recommendation and were pleasantly surprised. Quirky retro interior good choice of beers and ciders and the cocktails were very very good . Busy Saturday evening with Unrushed service very good food with decent sized portions . Love the VHS decorations and shoes on the toilet doors too . Will certainly come back for another try soon .
01/04/2019: Delicious perfection! I honestly can’t think of one negative thing to say about our visit here.

The Three Horseshoes

Elstead and Thursley, Waverley, 30-45£
13/04/2019: Been here a few times so know its a lovely environment and quality ingredients.
13/04/2019: Our early weekday dinner included excellent food, generous portions and reasonable prices. The key lime pie was especially excellent and obviously home made. While the selection of beers and lagers is relatively small there something for every taste and they are well served. The wine we had was also very good. If you want to have your dog with you at the table, make sure to mention it when booking to get a table in the bar area. Nice to see a community owned pub busy and run by an excellent team.

The Duke of Cambridge

Frensham, Dockenfield and Tilford, Waverley, <20£
14/04/2019: The place is located in a beautiful area just in the middle of the countryside. I have tried the pork roast and it was delicious, served with flavoured trimmings and a giant Yorkshire pudding. I have appreciated the drafts choice and in particular the Birra Poretti a nice and good quality beer from Italy. I was surprised and happy to find it. Good choice! The atmosphere is cosy and easy and it is definitely a family, and dogs, friendly pub.
13/04/2019: Popped in here for lunch after a visit to Surrey Sculpture Park. An impressive menu, both fixed price lunch and al-a-carte, plenty of seating both inside and out - we took advantage of the Spring sunshine and sat on the terrace. Good food well cooked and presented, with a good choice of local beers, the Tilford Gold a real find. A plus is the attached micro brewery where you can buy a number of speciality beers (I brought number to take home all very good). There is a large garden area with a children’s playground, some distance from the terrace so no noise issues etc. A pub we will revisit, especially to stock up on the beers

The Queens Head

Farnham Castle, Waverley, <20£
09/04/2019: I stopped with my dog to take shelter from the rain and there were already two other dogs inside, which made me happy! I ordered the vegan sausage ciabatta sarnie which was probably one of the best I've tried, good relish so wasn't dry at all. Would definitely return.
05/04/2019: Can’t speak highly enough about this place. They offer an excellent menu with a range of options including a separate vegan menu. The food is exceptional and at a great price for the area. The U shaped bar supports a great atmosphere and adds to the overall charm of the building. The experience is topped off by the truly brilliant service offered by the staff and the owners alike. Will certainly be back.

Cafe Piccolo

Farnham Castle, Waverley, >100£
15/04/2019: Joined friends from the Aldershot Veterans Breakfast Club for their monthly evening meal. We were allocated a table upstairs that was nicely cosy. The meals were very good indeed, I had mushrooms and a garlic and cream centre together with a small salad, my main course was the Rustica Pizza which was excellent but for the cold tomatoes. My wife had the mushroom Risotto which she enjoyed. A good night was enjoyed by all.
13/04/2019: I have mobility problems, there is no disabled toilet and there are steps up to the toilets including one very high step. The staff could not be more helpful in getting me to the toilets! The food was fantastic and we will definitely be returning!
