Oli's Thai

Holywell,St Mary's, Oxford, 20-30£
21/08/2018: Being an Oxford local and a regular visitor to Thailand, I can hand on heart vouch for how authentic the food served at Oli's is.
18/08/2018: We walked over broken glass to visit this recommended Thai restaurant off the beaten track only to find it closed with a note posted on the door. Cut and blood stained we were suitably disappointed and annoyed. The website says it is open I would recommend you phone first or risk walking over broken glass with no reward at the end.

Yeti Nepalese Restaurant

St Clement's, Oxford, <20£
27/08/2018: Great little place. A bit out of town if you're walking but well worth it. Three in our party. One not keen on over spicy food, a vegan and myself. Something on the menu for everyone. All of us had the Nepalese dishes and they were proper tasty. Friendly staff, attentive but not fussing over us.Nepalese beer was good and prices were very reasonable. Would definitely visit again.
26/08/2018: We went here mainly because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor but it wasn’t really anything special. I have eaten Nepali food before and although I’m not an expert, this didn’t seem particularly authentic, more like an Indian restaurant with a few Nepali dishes. The food was much milder than advertised, e.g. dishes marked as “hot” were actually very mild. Portions were good and so was service with a few niggles. The menu listed half a Kingfisher being available but when my husband ordered this he was told it would come in a bottle which turned out to be a very large bottle, over a pint, and not safe to drink if you are driving. Also the restaurant advertises a student discount. I produced my student ID card, but as I was the only student in a party of 3 they said they could not apply it to the whole bill. Although we had spent over £50 they only applied half of the 10% discount so we got £2.50 off our meal instead of £5 which felt rather stingy and is something I have not encountered anywhere else. It was an OK meal but I would not go back.

IScream Oxford

Iffley Fields, Oxford
27/08/2018: Situated in the covered markets this small gelateria is great in it's offers! Very good choice of different ice creams, coffees and sweets and chocolates. Founder Graham is a very friendly man who let's you try the different ice cream to make the decision easier - it's really difficult!
25/08/2018: I recently went to a wedding where IScream had a cart. It was delicious. Unusual flavours such as elderflower and more classic flavours with a unique touch (e.g strawberry sorbet with a delicious tangy creamy texture). The staff were super friendly and clearly very passionate too.

Pierre Victoire

Carfax, Oxford
27/08/2018: Charming family owned French restaurant - a world away from the defunct 90s chain of the same name. A superb option for a long family lunch
27/08/2018: Great place to have lunch or pre-theatre dinner as very welcoming with French staff that make you feel like you are in Paris bistro with authentic French cuisine and wine at very affordable price tags for big group or family... Locate in little street of Oxford with lots of cafe and restaurants with walking distance from main high street .

Crisis Skylight Oxford Cafe

Carfax, Oxford
04/08/2018: Had the all-day breakfast. Very good too. Beware that since this is a training venue for people trying to get back into the workforce, then service might seem a bit slow, Just be patient.
29/07/2018: I was walking around downtown Oxford and stopped into Cafe From Crisis for a coffee. Beautiful space and delicious latte. Highly recommend if you are nearby!

La Cucina

St Clement's, Oxford, 20-30£
17/08/2018: My wife and daughters visited Oxford together and find this restaurant nearby. We order different kind of typical Italian food such as Cheese pizza, meat ball spaghetti and lasagna. All of them are excellent!!!! There is no special recommendation as all are great!!! The waiter and waitress are very friendly and the restaurant is spacious. Even my 2yrs and 6 yrs daughter finished all her food. Thanks for the staff there to make a great restaurant.
16/08/2018: Diciamo che se vai li ', non è consigliabile prendersi una pizza. Gli starters sono ottimi e abbondanti e I primi nella media. Prezzi alti ma servizio veloce e gentile.

Mamma Mia Pizzeria

Summertown, Oxford, 20-30£
19/08/2018: We visited yesterday (Saturday evening) for a family meal to celebrate my Son's results. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, it was busy but not too crowded. All the staff couldn't have been more friendly or efficient. The food was lovely, we tried 3 if the pasta dishes and a pizza. We were all very hungry so shared 3 starters as well as finishing off with desserts.
16/08/2018: Excellent food and good service. Never disappointed when we visit. Would highly recommend the pizza and the tiramisu

St Clement's, Oxford, <20£
19/08/2018: Ate here for dinner when staying a night in Oxford. Only a £4 taxi ride for great well cooked, Slovak food. I hadn't eaten Slovak food before but everything we tried was delicious and different.
16/08/2018: Visit here too infrequently, had a great dinner with old friends. The food is consistent and reliable and offers a style that it unique in Oxford. Friendly service and sensible prices.

Seven Stars

Iffley Fields, Oxford, >100£
17/08/2018: We came a long way to visit our food friends who took us to this lovely popular pub.
14/08/2018: This is a lovely village pub in every sense of the word. The location is great, the building full of atmospheric warmth, a fine array of beers and an excellent restaurant.

The Oxford Kitchen

Summertown, Oxford, >100£
18/08/2018: Lovely taster menu with excellent presentation. We took the wine pairing and were a little disappointed not to get more wine explanation. The food was delicious and nice wines but not sure they were worth an extra £40 each.
09/08/2018: Excellent food fantastic service very attentive and chilled ambiance. A must visit if you’re in oxford

Brasserie Blanc

Jericho and Osney, Oxford, 30-45£
20/08/2018: We have lived in Oxfordshire for 15 years and have always wanted to know what Brasserie Blanc was like. A friend of ours told us about their reasonably priced set two and three course lunches and we were pleasantly surprised. The duck was the best I've ever had and my wife said that her flat fish was delicious. I had to indulge with a pudding...pistachio soufflé! Out of this world!
19/08/2018: This was our first visit but will not be our last. Amazing food that was cooked to perfection. The Confit Duck Leg with Plum Compot was fantasic. Great service and the staff really made our anniversary dinner special. Thanks to Alina and all her staff.

The White Rabbit

Carfax, Oxford, <20£
27/08/2018: This city centre pub has a cosy local pub feel. There are little nooks and crannies to sit in that make you feel at home. There is a good range of beers. We had a pale ale from the local Siren Brewery that was very refreshing. We also had dough balls with butter, very nice. They do a lot of different pizzas as well. This is a small, independent pub, well worth dropping into if you are in town and fancy something original.
24/08/2018: We ate here for lunch with the kids and friends. Pizza was excellent. Service was fun and efficient. Good value. Definitely would go back if in Oxford.
