Yeti Nepalese Restaurant

St Clement's, Oxford, <20£
03/11/2018: Yeti is deserving of its many awards and high trip advisor rating. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable.
31/10/2018: Dropped in here on the way south for a job. Tried the Tilapia Jhol for something new - absolutely delicious. Colleague thoroughly enjoyed his food as well. The Ghurka lager is great too.

IScream Oxford

Iffley Fields, Oxford
11/11/2018: Ice cream and gelato is a specialist subject of mine!!! This stuff is incredible, genuinely I’ve never had better stuff across the world. I’ve discovered it round the corner at home!!!
03/11/2018: ...or perhaps all of England? I don’t know, I haven’t had enough gelatos in London... and if I couldn’t find anything better in London then this place must be the best England right??

Oli's Thai

Holywell,St Mary's, Oxford, 20-30£
04/11/2018: The food is absolutely delicious, quick service, kind staff and amazing prices for what you get! Been there many times and I can't get enough of it.
02/11/2018: Came today with my other half. Absolutely brilliant food and great service. We shared three dishes (duck curry, aubergine curry and mushroom tempura) and will be back not before long! Thank you for a really wonderful meal

Pierre Victoire

Carfax, Oxford
28/10/2018: Parting dinner with my daughter studying at Oxford. Chose a French meal at a small family run restaurant replete with Parisian accents, Pierre Victoire, on Little Clarendon. We both had the 3 course fixed prix. I had the twice baked goat cheese soufflé with apple and pear compote. The soufflé was sublime with subtle, but lingering goat cheese flavour from the fluffy, soft, crumbly soufflé. The compote was a bit firm but had great fruit flavour that must have a had a splash or two of white wine in its preparation. She had the les mare frits, which had light, crispy barely battered calamari rings and white bait fish (I love flour dusted deep fried white bait fish or smelt). She then had her favourite moules frites, which she declared quite yummy, even if the fries were more British in flavour and texture than the better crispy matchstick French fries. I had the bouillabaisse that had squid rings, shrimp, mussels, and sea bream in a saffron-infused, chopped parsley-enlivened, slightly spicy tomato-based seafood broth. Creamy potato tournees added robustedness to this dish. The best ingredients were the buttery sea bream and the seafood broth. We both chose classic French desserts. I had the tarte tartin, which had good apple texture and flavour, but could have used a more tart apple against the overwhelming sweetness of the caramel sauce. The creme brûlée was well done with a good thick brûlée and a house made shortbread cookie. The house Grenache wine was quite nice, fruit but understated. Make reservations, it's a deservedly popular spot. It made for a nice final evening meal to send off my little girl!
27/10/2018: Very good fixed price menu and very good food. Service was excellent and unfussy. Thank goodness, no visits to the table to enquire whether everything was all right. A very competent restaurant and extremely good value. Will definitely go again!

Crisis Skylight Oxford Cafe

Carfax, Oxford
10/11/2018: We called into the cafe as we need a stop with our little boy. We looked in but nearly went somewhere else, however I'm really glad we stopped. Coffee, pancakes and the cakes were all a hit with the family. The staff were great, even with big queues, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices were very reasonable as well
09/11/2018: Our local friends told us about this great spot for coffee and breakfast. I had their sweet potato hash that came with a side of arugula, guacamole, two fried eggs and baked tomato. Great flavor and price.

The Old Bookbinders Ale House

Jericho and Osney, Oxford, 20-30£
28/10/2018: We all had a fabulous time at dinner in the Old Bookbinders Ale House for an Oxford Reunion with friends from the United States and Great Britain thanks to the superb management of it all by Joseph Sadones! He orchestrated everything to perfection and told me, the host, to not worry and enjoy everything - which I did! It was a five-star production of food and drink, including the surprise announcement of a marriage between two of our alumni and champagne to celebrate! We preordered our food and Joseph took care of any changes we made on the spot. He and his team delivered our delicious dinners for 12 in unison, hot and delicious! We've already booked the Bookbinders for next year with this kind of service, food and drink! We felt like "family"!
28/10/2018: This is a hidden gem. We met friends who were cruising in the Oxford Canal and this was a few minutes walk away from their mooring.

Mamma Mia Pizzeria

Summertown, Oxford, 20-30£
02/11/2018: We went with family friends for Halloween and had a great time, as usual. The costumed staff were genuinely welcoming to family with young kids, and even have each child a bag of Halloween party “favours”. The food was as equally good as the service.
31/10/2018: Very good light and tasty pizza . Nice friendly atmosphere and really good service. Highly recommended for a visit or takeaway.

The Kazbar

St Clement's, Oxford
04/11/2018: This cosy little spot is such fun! The seating and decor is warm, unique and inviting and we were given a lovely snuggly corner to watch the world go by in. The service was wonderful... even though we had our own server( who was herself lovely), all of the staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly. Not to mention, the food was delicious!
04/11/2018: Good vibe! We have been there for drinks with some friends. There's an outside sitting area as well :X

La Cucina

St Clement's, Oxford, 20-30£
10/11/2018: We were a group of 8 people celebrating a Bday and we had the best experience ever! The service was outstanding and we felt we were celebrating in a familiar atmosphere. The food was extremely good , and it was reccomanded to us by the chef Vincenzo, which experience really impressed me. I personally had a parmigiana and a lentil and pumpkin salad that were seasoned to perfection. The best part was the cake cutting, during which they really made an effort, putting happy Bday music on the speaker and singing along with us. The drinks were also lovely, and they were prepared to us by Mara, which had a warm smile and professional manner. Our waitress was Sandra, and she really cared for us through all the dinner, being patient at all times. Before we left, the manager gave us a complimentary limoncello. We could not have asked for more. Best Italian experience in Oxford.
10/11/2018: We went for a friend birthday party, I felt like at home! We are Italian and most of the dishes are home made ( in some cases even the pasta!) everything is authentic and genuine! We had an amazing evening! The waitress are very friendly and professional and the food will not disappoint you I promise !

St Clement's, Oxford, <20£
07/11/2018: We visited on an extremely busy night and so the time to get food was long, over an hour to receive starters. However when they arrived they were very good! Mains were also good with the Pork shank being extremely tender. Service was friendly and the restaurant comfortable.
22/10/2018: Moya has been serving Slovakian food in this location since c. 2002. Sadly we have only now tried it - I say "sadly" because it is excellent. The food is well cooked and presented. Service is swift, attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable. There is a good selection of drinks - beers wines and spirits. We found the wine list more than adequate and my wife was able to find not only a good prosecco but a truly dry white; something that many restaurants struggle to produce. Highly recommended: we shall be back!

The Oxford Kitchen

Summertown, Oxford, >100£
12/11/2018: A little rushed on first arrival being given menus on table before we had coats off and were seated. Nice extra to have complimentary sparkling water. Maitre' d was friendly and knowledgeable on all courses served. Had tasting menu and asked for beef to be cooked though, as advised chef served it pink. Unfortunately it was too under for me but waiter dealt with the issue professionally and without any fuss I had a returned plate of food with perfect beef. It just meant My husband ate his meal while I waited then I ate mine and he had finished. Complimentary extra dessert was given as an apologetic courtesy and we have no issue with this situation. Having experience of other Michelin restaurants there were a couple of things...napkins not placed on customer lap nor folded when away from table, waiting staff not visible unless actually serving in the area. Overall a wonderful meal with great presentation and flavour! Recommend it for a real gastronomic treat!
10/11/2018: such an amazing experience food out of this world ! service flawless. it’s must if your visiting oxford.

Seven Stars

Iffley Fields, Oxford, >100£
30/10/2018: Found this pub by chance after a visit to Oxford. Very friendly staff and a lovely log fire burning away. Portions were huge, hot and delicious. Obviously super popular as car park was packed. A great place for lunch!
27/10/2018: Saw the sign to the Seven Stars going through Newnham Courtnay and followed the road through to Marsh Baldon, where the pub looked great next to The Green. Great very tasty lunch with my friend with friendly service form all the staff. Wide choice of food and good portions in a great atmosphere.

Brasserie Blanc

Jericho and Osney, Oxford, 30-45£
04/11/2018: Visited with my partner last night and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
31/10/2018: 2 of us ate here on Saturday afternoon though we choose not to eat from the set menu, which is available till 5 pm on a Saturday and is definitely value for money - these "deals" are not often available on a Saturday so well done. The surroundings, service and importantly the food were all excellent. Id definitely recommend and return if i was in Oxford. We had 2 glasses of wine (1 large 1 small), 2 cappuccinos, 1 fish curry (it was delicious tasty and not heavy as some curries can be), lamb tagine, a pistachio souffle (again delicious light and airy), treacle sponge with an unusual but lovely Cointreau sauce. The bill came to £66 which we though value for money for the quality. ive spent just as much on poor quality meals from well known chains!

Vaults & Garden Cafe

Carfax, Oxford
04/11/2018: Petite pause déjeuner en famille, les tartines étaient très bonnes, le scones à Tomber, endroit sympathique (sous l’église) très bien.
31/10/2018: Been a long time since of been. Today had the beef and quince and the chicken and mushroom stews. Also had vegetarian korma and goats cheese soufflé on offer. All good food and coffee. Dog friendly

Spice Lounge

Summertown, Oxford, <20£
04/11/2018: This was our first time visiting the Spice Lounge and it was a really great experience. The service was attentive and friendly without being pushy. Also the food arrived quickly and was so tasty. I particularly recommend the naan bread and chicken tikka masala. We will definitely be going back.
04/11/2018: 6 of us were treated to not only an excellent meal but a real treat in the form of the owner.
