Petersfield St Peters, East Hampshire
18/06/2018: What a lovely evening I had here recently. The food was lovely, and the waitress was friendly even though she was busy. Worth booking to eat here, you won’t be disappointed.
28/05/2018: I went with a friend for lunch, having seen the glowing reviews for this restaurant. Fez is a bit gloomy and cramped which lends it an atmosphere of being a somewhat scruffy caff during a powercut. We ordered off the lunch menu and started with Patlican Soslu and Grilled Salami - both were ok but the portion size was laughable. We followed with Kuzu Sis and Fez Kofte. The sis was nicely done but the kofte was dry and so rather unpalatable. Again, the portions were somewhat mean. The Kadayif and Baklava were even more ridiculous and looked as though they belonged on a doll's house plate. Perhaps the hosts are more generous when you order a la carte. I would certainly hope so as the prices are a bit ambitious. Despite the friendly service, I won't be returning to find out.

The Yew Tree

Four Marks and Medstead, East Hampshire
20/06/2018: Although off the beaten track it's well worth the effort to find. Interesting local beers, a lovely friendly atmosphere a good range of reasonably priced wines and knowledgeable staff. Particularly noteworthy was the pork crackling (beautifully crisp) the accompanying apple sauce and the semifreddo with...
11/06/2018: The Yew tree is in the middle of nowhere but at the very centre of how pubs should be run. The atmosphere is friendly, efficient and welcoming. The serving staff are friendly, knowledgable and fast. The food is fresh, well cooked and very well presented....

Ye Olde George Inn

East Meon, East Hampshire
18/06/2018: We were on route to our hotel and popped in for lunch - excellent fish finger sandwich and salt beef sandwich, very busy but staff coped very well and we were seated almost immediately. Popped back for dinner again excellent! staff really welcoming and efficient.
12/06/2018: A last minute booking and what a find. We didn't just eat but stayed overnight. Rooms a little in need of refreshing (lick of paint and some new bed linen) but in a beautiful rural setting. Food good both dinner and breakfast though improvements could...

Petersfield Heath, East Hampshire, >100£
20/06/2018: This was a very special evening - delicious food served with efficiency and humour. Think this was one of the best meals I have eaten anywhere. Lovely restaurant with tables placed well apart and restful decor
15/06/2018: Had coupons from Deal Zippy and handed the coupon on arrival. I would just like to say that having money off the full price made absolutely no difference to the evening in any way shape or form. The food (8-course tasting) was lovely and the flight of wines was very good too. I am wheat intolerant and it is so nice to not just be categorised as coeliac, they checked throughout the meal that grains other than wheat were ok. It has not since I ate in a restaurant in Barcelona (Tickets) a couple of years ago that I have been treated as non-coeliac. They really care and make the experience so much more enjoyable.

Applegarth Farm

Grayshott, East Hampshire, 30-45£

The full breakfast was presented beautifully, a picture on the plate and taste we enjoyed every mouth full, hubby said the sausages were very good. Eating inside or out options great place eat, do try it.

Rose and Crown

Downland, East Hampshire
19/06/2018: We had a very tasty meal last Saturday, steak pie for Paul and belly pork for me which I did not find too fatty and I have been converted to it having wondered if it would be too fatty for me in the past. Love the atmosphere and very pleased our dog is so welcome. What a lovely job has been done on the garden. Very helpful staff. Glad to see the news has spread as the pub was comfortably busy. Top of the list when we are treating ourselves.
18/06/2018: A delightful pub with a warm welcome from friendly staff. Delicious food and a varied menu. Relaxed atmosphere.

Bottega Dei Sapori

Alton Westbrooke, East Hampshire, >100£
31/05/2018: Bottega dei Sapori is an authentic italian bar, with excellent cappuccino and croissant. The owner is really polite aswell. It is the perfect place for breakfast when you need to feel at home in Italy.
27/05/2018: In my opinion, the eaterie of choice in Alton for quality Italian coffee, cakes, pastries, and for light meals. Alton is awash with cafes, but in my humble opinion you can enjoy a London level of quality refreshment here par excellence. There is a garden...

The Village Tea Rooms

Headley, East Hampshire
09/06/2018: Lovely cream tea, very friendly staff, highly recommended. We stopped for a well earned break on London to Brighton ride. We were made very welcome, service was very good, scones and coffee were great
19/04/2018: We stopped here at the end of a strenuous walk on the hottest day of the year. The Earl Grey tea was exactly as it should be and our request for extra water was met immediately. We also had scones with butter, jam and cream. It reminded us both of tea rooms we'd visited as children - many years ago! Thank you to everyone who made our afternoon tea such a lovely occasion.

Malabon Tandoori Restaurant

Petersfield Heath, East Hampshire, >100£
12/06/2018: The restaurant is small and cosy, occupying a spot next to two other restaurants on a road perpendicular to the high street. Although the interior is a little crowded, it's not uncomfortable and is a pleasant place to be. It was full when we visited...
02/06/2018: Been here a few times since our local Indian closed and it is fantastic, wonderful food , lovely atmosphere , fantastic staff , super friendly and helpful .. this is a family run business and it shows with the care and attention they give customers...

The Prince of Wales

Bramshott and Liphook, East Hampshire
31/05/2018: Have reviewed before, but I have always liked the "Prince" and indeed it has the special place in my life as the first pub I was ever taken into way back in the early 1960's. Unfortunately time and circumstance mean I don't get there a lot nowadays and I do miss it.
02/05/2018: Lovely old pub tucked away off the beaten track. It has had various owners over the years with mixed results. It's now back on top form and well deserves a 5 star review. Friendly service. Very good food and great beer. Some nice walks from the pub but be warned it's hilly.

Royal Oak

Holybourne and Froyle, East Hampshire
19/06/2018: My two friends and i ordered three different dishes from the menu including a meat, fish and vegetarian selection. All three were beautifully cooked and well presented as well as being served quickly. Each of the meals was substantial and extremely tasty. The service was also excellent, to be commended.

The menu always has something different and the staff are really friendly, also very dog Friendly.Ben is also very helpful and knowledgeable about his wines. Can't fault it!

The Natural Apothecary Health Food Shop and Cafe

Petersfield Rother, East Hampshire
31/05/2018: We often drop into this cafe when we’re in Petersfield. It’s at the end of the High St and there’s a good car park nearby. They use real teas, have great smoothies, and do excellent light lunches and teas with a selection of vegan cakes.
28/05/2018: ‘Fresh’ carrot juice was not fresh, had separated and didn’t look palatable, moreover, was watered down with ice. At £ 4.50 for a glass of juice - I would expect a bit more effort. Service was lacklustre, waitresses were not very visible. No one came to check on me. The main dish of quinoa was so so nothing to write home about! Could improve the atmosphere and the service could be friendlier.

Frederick's Restaurant

East Meon, East Hampshire, >100£
14/03/2018: We (a group of 6) visited Langrish House on Mother's Day evening. Pre-meal drinks were had in the drawing room in front of a roaring fire. Service was impeccable. Ambiance just lovely. Menu scrumptious. Breads homemade. Superb wine list (fabulous Malbec). Each dish exquisitely presented....
04/12/2017: We were guests at a large family party (45) on Sunday 3rd December. The food - a set menu for simplicity - was first rate and the staff were very friendly and efficient, making for a terrific atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed themselves so much that the...
