Amici Restaurant

16/12/2018: This was my 60th birthday meal.the service was excellent the food was fabulous have never been here before and definitely going back
15/12/2018: Visited as a group of seven last evening. From the moment we entered the staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and service excellent. Will definitely be returning soon.

The Wife of Bath

Wye, Ashford
18/12/2018: First time visiting the Wife of Bath and although a recent visit to another Mark Sargent restaurant (Duke William) wasn’t a good as we hoped we arrived with high expectations however sadly things did not start well as we were left in he small entrance area for around 5 mins without anyone coming to see us and take us through to the restaurant (we couldn’t use the bar even if we had wanted to as there was no room which again was a but disappointing)
09/12/2018: This restaurant was booked for one of my daughters ‘big’ birthday’s and as we had not been here since it has been under new management we were a little wary but we need not have worried. We were seated in a lovely area that was quite private for us but with plenty of room. The chefs went ‘off piste’ for us, the management put up with me and my constant changes of numbers etc and the waiting staff were superb. The food was enjoyed by everyone and each person was saying ‘I will come here again!’. The real icing on the cake was that we were asked if we were happy to pay for the service charge, well I say, yes, yes, and yes again AND all of the service charge goes to the staff and is shared equally between them. The staff all deserved every penny of it. The bill when we came to it made me gasp in shock - good shock - because for the entire evening (we were there five hours) it must have been one of the best value for money restaurants I have ever been to. The whole experience was excellent and I can’t wait to go back!! There is no single highlight because everything was a highlight in itself.

Ozgur Turkish Restaurant

Tenterden North, Ashford
16/12/2018: After a Santa special train ride in Tenterden we booked for 6 adults and three children for lunch at Ozgur. The food was delicious the staff were very friendly and attentive. Although they don't have a children's menu there is so much to choose from there was something for everyone. Four of the adults had the £19.95 set menu which was very tasty. Shame we don't live nearby to visit more often. See you again next year if not before. Thank you.
13/12/2018: We had a family meal food is good staff friendly would like a bit more food on our plates to be completely satisfied which we feel would then justify the price.

Airport Cafe

Victoria, Ashford
16/12/2018: Superb traditional Full English. Eggs perfect, sausages great, hash browns crisp, bacon lovely. Very well presented, no freeze. Coffee good. This is very popular with lorry drivers, always a table becomes available. Outside area if it's warm. Toilets outside but clean and working. Have been before and will certainly go again. Not expensive either, probably why it is popular.
12/12/2018: Great breakfasts at amazing prices. Have always Friendly service and very quick service. Always lovely food served. Iv never had a roast there but they look amazing to x

Trattoria Romana

Victoria, Ashford, <20£
18/12/2018: Family run restaurant offering delicious food, well cooked at reasonable prices. Friendly service. Would definitely go back, if only for the dessert trolley!
18/12/2018: We have eaten here regularly since our local butcher said he supplies the meat and have never regretted it. Fab old school service, very nice, genuine people. The best restaurant in the area.

The Ewe & Lamb

Rolvenden and Tenterden West, Ashford
04/01/2019: So glad we found this pub, just 8 min drive away from home. Cosy atmosphere, lovely food and the staff are so friendly. Will be using it regularly from now on 👍
25/12/2018: We just had a wonderful Christmas Dinner and met some lovely people. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere very family oriented. It was like being with family. Great value and a really hearty meal. The staff here are very friendly and the clientelle as well. Well done to everybody for making it such a pleasant day.

West House

Biddenden, Ashford, 45-60£
21/12/2018: Stumbled across this and booked the Rock and Roll room which was lovely complete with little garden and hot tub unfortunately we didn’t use due to the weather. He room was beautifully clean with Molton Brown toiletries. Breakfast is a hamper with lovely fruit, gorgeous yoghurt, juice, muffins etc. The tea and coffee were first rate and the really nice touch of topping up everything while you were and dinner was much appreciated. So the food - fabulous- we had the tasting menu with 6 courses and a great option to taste the range of the wonderful chef. Staff were lovely from greeting when we arrived to leaving the restaurant. You would never have guessed that two nights previously two hous s next door had burnt down at times threatening The West House - we will be back with friends and family
09/12/2018: Midweek lunch. Table for four. 'Amuse-bouche' great. Starters (small) delicious. Mains (small) disappointing, especially the limited vegetarian options. Desserts (small) very good. And wine pricey but good. Portion size minute. Bill for four (nearly £200) too high.

Everest Inn

Victoria, Ashford, <20£
15/12/2018: This was by far the worse takeaway ever, my food way watery , Pila rice was bland& the special rice came with loads & loads of mushrooms which my husband dislikeS, & tikka missala should look or taste like that , just awful , I am getting a refund
15/12/2018: If you’re down for shopping in Ashford Designer Outlet, do stop at this lovely place for refuelling. The staff and the food are lovely, you wouldn’t be disappointed. The manager of this restaurant was in touch with us right from the time we entered till we left. We requested for Vegetable Momos and Indian masala chai (freshly brewed) which weren’t on the lunch menu and he made it possible for us. Really appreciate the chef and the team for it. The food was delicious and felt like everything was made from scratch.

The Woolpack Inn

Weald South, Ashford
02/01/2019: Beautiful burgers, an amazing fish platter and lovely mulled wine, a fab late lunch in a stunning pub, in a beautiful village, after shopping in the sales in Ashford
23/12/2018: Came by this Sunday mid afternoon and surprisingly it was fairly quiet if one wanted to eat. But the atmosphere was still present, fire burning, rich red Xmas docs etc and the staff most helpful.. as you are able to purchase their super shaped wine glasses and assisted us a treat. Will be back soon.

Tenterden South, Ashford
13/12/2018: Came in for a coffee but were lured into having cake as well by the delicious display (I dont normally eat cake!). The Earl Grey sponge with fresh lemon cream was delicious & the bread pudding (I was told!) was excellent. Coffee excellent standard. Very friendly & polite staff. This place is popular during the folk festival weekend, but we've not tried it before. Will certainly come again.
01/12/2018: I have lived in the town for over 25 years, so therefore decided to try a local store.

The Bakehouse

Biddenden, Ashford
17/11/2018: I took my 95 year old Mum for breakfast this morning - the first time she has been out of her house in a month as she's had a nasty bout of shingles. I chose this venue based on other TripAdvisor reviews and wasn't disappointed - far from it. Telephoned the day before to check that it would be suitable for someone with mobility issues and the young lady who answered the phone offered to reserve a table for us where there would be no steps and gave me advice on parking so that I could get as close to the door as possible. The breakfast was yummy as Sharon H says - we could choose whatever items we liked out of the 'full English' and swap one item for a different one - and the surroundings were delightful. A wood-burner burning brightly at 9am, lovely old beams and hop garlands. My Mum was so pleased we went, even though she still doesn't feel well. Thanks to the staff for taking so much care of her - made sure she had everything she wanted, and they were so friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommended, we will be going there again!

Blue Anchor Pub & Restaurant

Saxon Shore, Ashford
11/11/2018: Lovely food, friendly and professional service. Plentiful portions. Clean toilets. Good to see a pub that welcomes dogs.
15/10/2018: Have revisited the Blue Anchor several times in the last month.Great menu spoilt for choice.Fixed price £21 for 3 courses or al a carte. All the food has been perfectly cooked service was class. Those of us of certain age will remember Annabelle and Jackie from the Rowan tree in Hythe(a few years ago). This is the best pub food you will get anywhere

The Walnut Tree Inn

Saxon Shore, Ashford
20/11/2018: Had a very enjoyable meal... Relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Great food and menu choice.... Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
15/11/2018: I really don't know why we haven't eaten here before, but chose to go because other nearby pub/restaurants had sadly closed. It's a lovely old Smugglers Inn with character. There's a wide range of food on the menu, including a vast 'specials' board, where the cost of a starter + main is just £12 which is unbelievable value when you see the size of the portions! We were all too full for a dessert. No problems with service and all in all, a very pleasant evening. Not only will we be returning, but also recommending.

The Secret Garden

Weald East, Ashford, 30-45£
30/12/2018: Took my mother here for her birthday, the service was fantastic and wonderful food for lunch. We are already planning our next visit for afternoon tea.
15/12/2018: Attended Secret Garden for an evening Christmas Function. There were probably about 30 of us and other parties too. Waited quite a while for our starters. I had ordered Salmon with pomegranate and horseradish but had been told a week earlier that They could not source the Salmon so would be cod instead. To be fair I could have changed order but decided not too. Wished I had as I now know that raw cod is not my thing. My husband had the terrine which was very nice. We then had to wait ages for our main meal which for me was turkey. The turkey was very nice, parsnips a bit firm and hubby said the Brussels were over cooked. The red cabbage was nice. He also reckoned the pig in blanket was under cooked but mine was fine. Dessert was a chocolate delight with ice cream which was lovely. Hubby wasn’t that impressed with the Christmas pud, felt it would be better served in a bowl with custard!! However, overall food wasn’t too bad, crackers were on the table as were balloons and ideas for party games and dressing up hats for photo’s but something that was missing was coffee at the end of the night. Staff were very nice.

Rose and Crown

Weald North, Ashford
11/12/2018: The personal welcome from the staff was warming and our friends were instantly impressed. The professional manner in which the restaurant manager took us through the menu made choosing a pleasure. Our drinks were bought to us by the log fire. Our food was wonderful with the right amount of time between courses. Although the restaurant was busy there was space between the tables. A relaxing evening made even better by the atmosphere, staff and food. Thank you
24/11/2018: As a resident in Egerton brought a friend and our two children for late afternoon 2 course lunch that I'd won at raffle in summer. I've eaten at rose and crown before but was nice to bring a friend. We had lovely tapas started and wow tasty and hearty mains of scampi and mega chips and lovely 2 cheese macaroni gratin. Great kids meals too. Tasty and generous
