06/12/2020: I've lived in Barking for six months now, and while I've nothing against Wetherspoons, it should never be the second best bar in an area. Thankfully the best bar, the Boathouse, is an absolute gem - friendly staff, good food, and good beer. And a great view over the canal (when it's dry enough to sit outside!). Can't recommend highly enough.
12/09/2020: Husband was on a coutse in barking stayed at the ibis went to the boat house if you like cocktails pay a visit to this place right on the canal and the cocktails are to die for
