Morston Hall Restaurant

Glaven Valley, North Norfolk, 60-100£
16/06/2019: A great setting for a lovely lunch. The seasonal menu was delicious. We felt very well looked after as always.
11/06/2019: This is a lovely place to stay and to eat. Our welcome was friendly and helpful and this was maintained by all the staff - nothing seemed too much trouble. We stayed in one of the garden suites - a light, comfortable, spacious area with everything you need and immaculately clean and maintained. Dinner was wonderful - we just love the style of food and are amazed that that such detail and care is continued with a menu which changes daily. We also chose the paired wines. The sommelier was lovely - very informative and obviously someone who takes a lot of pride and pleasure in her work. This was a special occasion so we treated ourselves to their picnic lunch - the most outstanding packed lunch I've ever had! The whole experience made a wonderful start to our holiday.

Wells Crab House Cafe

Priory, North Norfolk, <20£
17/06/2019: Delicious food, good coffee and excellent service what a treat in Wells next the sea followed by a train journey to the beach. A good walk back to blow away the cobwebs.
12/06/2019: Food here is very average with a menu and specials board that is far too big. Would be better off reducing both menus and focusing on the delivery of those dishes. Many dishes lacked inspiration and seasoning. Although the service was very friendly it was clearly understaffed when we went, and didn't feel like one particular person was taking care of us for the night. Seemed to take an age once we were sat to come and take drinks orders and then another long wait for food order. Perhaps the bookings needed to be staggered better?

09/06/2019: After walking from Blakeney the Artemis Cafe offered a welcome haven. Wonderful professional and friendly service. Good menu choice -the Veggie sausage rolls are awesome !!! . Coffee very good- nice attention to detail - appreciated the jug of hot water with my Americano. Great for families , couples and folks with Dogs - such as us.
04/06/2019: Came across Artemis Coffee Shop after walking on the North Norfolk coastal path. We were tired, cold, wet, and in need of a good cup of tea.

Marmalade's Bistro

Sheringham North, North Norfolk
18/06/2019: We recently stayed in Sheringham, Norfolk and booked an evening meal here for a 'special meal' evening. Well it didn't dissapoint as the meal was fantastic. All three courses were exceptional by the chef. Tables were served by three girls who were excellent, being jolly and professional. We had a lovely evening. I have only one thing to mention and it's not a critisiam, just a comment and that is of the decor which in our opinion could do with a refurb, it's just a tad tired and old hat. We would love to eat here again when in Sheringham. Thanks for a lovely evening.
16/06/2019: Visited here on a Thursday evening and glad had booked in advance as people without reservations were turned away. As a small restaurant booking would normally be advisable but in view of the service and quality of food I would say booking essential.

The Folly Tearoom

Holt, North Norfolk
08/06/2019: Well worth a visit for the doorstep sandwiches. BUT the breakfast menu stops at 12 ( not mentioned on their website) and almost certainly need to book especially if it is a damp day. Good bread ( granary or white), crispy bacon and a perfect tried egg.
06/06/2019: Shop Assistant in Bakers & Larners in Holt recommended this lovely little tea room to us as we wanted lunchtime sandwich. We had hoped to have a fresh Cromer crab sandwich but were told by the lovely waitress that they may have some in a couple of weeks time!! Sadly we were only there for four days so couldn`t wait. However sandwiches came along with lovely crunchy salad and crisps, most enjoyable and great service. Lovely ambiance. We are often in Norfolk and will certainly visit The Folly again.

15/06/2019: Visited recently and sat outside in the sunshine...
04/06/2019: Visited today for breakfast, it opened early which was great as all the other cafes were shut. We are vegan and often struggle but we were able to have a lovely vegan breakfast. The service was fantastic and so friendly and helpful. We sat outside but there was plenty of room inside and it looked lovely. It’s also dog friendly. Would definitely recommend and hope to return .

The Tea Room at Corner House

The Runtons, North Norfolk
10/06/2019: Pat and Stuart P. There are not enough superlatives to review this place. It is an absolute gem. Food & hospitality first class. An ideal base for seeing north Norfolk.
01/06/2019: You couldn't wish for a more welcoming, inviting B&B; and with the added benefit of having it's own teashop too, what's not to like. The facilities are second to none and would definitely go back there again. Everywhere was maintained to an exceptional standard and the proprietors were friendly, chatty and couldn't do enough for their guests. Well worth at least 3 visits. Thank you

The Picnic Hut

Priory, North Norfolk, <20£
06/06/2019: This small but friendly cafe is truly a great find. Staff very friendly and accommodating, the best though has to be their very best Crab salad sandwich. It was an absolute delight, the best crab sandwich I have had in a very very long time. Would certainly recommend if your passing... loved it! Thank you.
18/05/2019: So glad to find a cafe open late in the afternoon. Lovely tea and cake in a very friendly atmosphere. The salads looked very tempting - will return.

Bann Thai Restaurant

Cromer Town, North Norfolk
11/06/2019: We often go to Cromer for a break. We visited again recently. We always have a meal at Bann Thai as the experience has always been fantastic. We went for a meal last Sunday evening and once again we were not disapointed. My wife is a vegetarian. We often have a very limited choice at other restaurants. At Bann Thai they substitue any meat dish on the menu with either Tofu or Mock Duck so there are plenty of dishes for vegetarians. I had Chicken satay for starters followed by chicken in chilli sauce and coconut rice. The meal was perfectly cooked, hot and delicious. The service was first class. The restaurant is nicely laid out with space between tables so you can have a comfortable conversation whilst eating. Again we were not disapointed. Our experience at Bann Thai brings us back to Cromer as we look forward to eating here so much.
09/06/2019: My husband and I moved to Cromer from Norwich only a year ago and were so pleasantly surprised to find a Thai restaurant better than any we'd had in Norwich! The food is absolutely top notch, always delicious. We enjoy bringing guests there as the ambiance is lovely and everyone is so friendly, and when we are alone we love getting a takeaway from there. We've never had a bad meal, it's always absolutely delicious!

Brownes on Bond Street

Cromer Town, North Norfolk
18/06/2019: Not on the main road and tucked up a side street this cafe/restaurant already had lots of lovely reviews but I feel compelled to add more. We wanted to experience some lovely Cromer crab and after a mouth watering description by the charming waiter we chose Browne's crab savoury. It was a sort of crab gratin served with perfectly cooked veg. What a delight. Exactly what we were looking for and beautifully presented. We followed this with treacle tart. The size of the slice immediately made me feel I wouldn't get through it but it was so delicious and had a lightness about it which made it slip down very easily indeed. This place was so wonderful we did consider changing our itinerary to return on this trip!
11/06/2019: Visited recently on a trip to Norfolk, read reviews and thought we would give it a try we were not disappointed food was delicious. Service was fantastic and staff really friendly. Chef came out of kitchen several times to ask if our food was ok which was really nice. Excellent food and service and very reasonable priced. We highly recommend.

Bure River Cottage Restaurant

St Benet, North Norfolk, >100£
17/06/2019: We have eaten here before and have been very happy. We were not disappointed on this visit the service and food were excellent. The staff were very good and friendly, we were not rushed. The prawns and scallops starters were very tasty, bread and butter came automatically and was included in the price . It was good to see finger bowls for the prawns, some good restaurants we have visited recently don’t bother with these. Three of us had turbot and one had bream. All the dishes were excellent. It is also good to see the food being served on hot plates. New potatoes, chips and vegetables were very good. When we asked for more potatoes, the response was, no problem at all. Wine was cold. We had desserts, the panna cotta was superb.
30/05/2019: We enjoyed a fabulous evening at Bure River Cottage Restaurant to celebrate an upcoming big birthday.

07/06/2019: Popped in for a coffee after seeing reviews. We received a lovely welcome when we arrived, and went to sit at a table. Loved reading the menu which had info about the coffees and how they are made.

The Crown Hotel Restaurant

Priory, North Norfolk
03/06/2019: Back on Friday night with freind food thank you was every bit as good as it was in Nov recommended it to friends as the food is fresh beautifully presented and packed with flavours I had the fish risotto the very best I have ever had ... please don’t take it off the menu ! I could drive the 2 hour journey just for that and the lemon cake fresh and full again of lovely flavours throughout the dish .
15/05/2019: We called in for dinner on the Tuesday. I understand that it was a new menu. Menu looks well balanced, some nice items. I had sirloin, nice perpercorn sauce, crispy onion rings, vine tomato, fat chips. All very good. Good service. Restaurant is pleasant, toilets in good order.

Sands Restaurant

Priory, North Norfolk
18/06/2019: Called in to Sands today for a light lunch. Service from Cara was excellent and the food really nice. This was our third visit in the last twelve months and we were not disappointed. Highly recommended.
11/06/2019: Our first night in Wells and called in here on speck and had a first class experience. Unfortunately all the window tables were taken - I`d recommend an early booking - but we still had a pretty reasonable view out to the harbour. The food was excellent too, especially my king prawn linguine from the specials board. Pricing too was very good value. If in Wells definitely give it a go
