The Old Bank

Snettisham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, >100£
16/06/2019: Our first time at the Old Bank and it certainly won’t be our last! We took my Father for his birthday and it was certainly the right choice. From the time we entered until the minute we left we had great service from friendly staff and exceptional food and drink! One of the courses we had was Loin and belly of Norfolk Lamb, black olive mash, courgettes etc (see photo) melted in your mouth! The only downside that my wife and I live far away from this gem.
11/06/2019: I was surprised at how tiny the restaurant was! just a couple of tables and the loos round the outside of the building, but it made for a lovely intimate setting for a Friday night treat.

Old Boat House Cafe

Hunstanton, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
16/06/2019: As a regular visitor to the Beach café, I can only say that I look forward to my visit every week. They have a good, varied menu, friendly staff, and I always feel welcome. The cafe can get VERY busy on sunny days, so you may have to wait for food, but there is plenty of seating both inside and out. Please be aware that Old Hunstanton is a dog friendly beach, and the café is very dog friendly, so expect to see plenty of our four-legged friends both on the beach and in the café.
16/06/2019: Lovely staff, nice cake, dog friendly! Right by the lifeboat station who were performing practice launched for our entertainment.

The Duck Inn

Docking, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
17/06/2019: Just back from a great 3 night stay , our room was very comfortable, breakfasts were all substantial and tasty from the full bill to the porridge, toast and homemade jams and marmalade. We also had one Sunday lunch, which was lovely and all the staff were excellent.
16/06/2019: Had a voucher brought for us by our children for my birthday, not been here before so wanted to try it. The food was amazing, fantastic choice and something that little bit different, both my husband and I like going out and trying new restaurants as we love nice food. The staff were fab too it was very busy in there with 3 large tables but the service was still great top notch place in every way will definitely be back.

Market Bistro

St Margarets with St Nicholas, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, <20£
08/06/2019: This was our 4th visit to this shrine of fine dinining, (Previous reviews can be found on here) and, as on our first visit, the food we consumed was cooked to perfection by Head Cheif & Patron Richard, the menu was rn british, to which Richard adds his own personal "Magic" - the end result being simply fantastic, our starters were Scallops (rainbow chard, pancetta for my good lady and the Tomato (tart fine, sherry vinegar, ricotta) both dishes simply superb, our mains were Lamb (bbq shoulder, potato puree, asparagus, tomato) for my better half, while I chose the Venison (loin, beetroot, mushroom, braised gem) and I have to say the Venison was cooked exquisitely, with the Beetroot in particular adding that "earthly" deepness to the dish, unfortunately, neither of us had room to sample deserts, although we were very tempted! Why makes the Market Bistro so special? irst and front has to be the fayre, every item is sympathetically prepared and cooked, just as it should be, the service is always unobtrussive & polite, and the ambience creared by Lucy & Richard is totally unique, to feel at home the moment you set foot in the restaraunt is no mean feat to acheive - but that's exactly what it feels like.
01/06/2019: As always the food and service were amazing! Not huge portions, you’re buying the quality and taste of the food, service as always was spot on - attentive but not harassing. Sorry, but can’t fault this restaurant.

The Neptune

Hunstanton, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
31/05/2019: We’re great fans and regulars to Morston Hall but never been to The Neptune as it’s that bit too far. Anyhow we went with friends, stayed and had a tremendous time. Boy do Kevin and Jackie work hard with the quality and attention to detail shines through. The rooms are not sumptuous but well done with that attention to detail. The food was tremendous. The wine list is not exhaustive but very well considered (an Italian is the most expensive red unusually).
04/05/2019: Beautiful food in a stylish and friendly setting. The cooking of the beautiful produce was faultless, such a delightful couple and great service. Thank you.

Arbuckles

Hilgay with Denver, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
17/06/2019: What a place this is local to me an interesting menu with plenty of choice, staff very friendly and drinks reasonably priced too. A really good place to dine.
16/06/2019: Went here on a whim as we were hungry and passing by and my oh had eaten at the one in Ely and said the food was good. The carpark was heaving and we didn't think we would get a table... however we were seated immediately. It was busy but the booth style cuts out a lot of niose. Considering how busy it was we were impressed by how quickly we were served and how quickly our food came. I had steak cooked rare and it was perfect. Although our dishes came with dips we both said the food tasted so good you didn't need them. We had to try the pudding and we weren't disappointed. I cannot fault this place... Service staff and food were of a very high quality and value for money excellent. We're looking forward to trying their breakfast soon. Definitely worth a visit

Burnham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
17/06/2019: We called in here for afternoon tea whilst visiting Burnham. A nice choice of fresh cakes and sandwiches and a wonderful pot of tea! The staff were extremely friendly and the prices very reasonable. It’s also dog friendly.
15/06/2019: As an allergy sufferer, I was so pleased to have found this delightful cafe which was welcoming and happy to help with my dietary requirements. The food was delicious and great portions. I highly recommend this place and will be coming here again.

The Coffee Pot

Hunstanton, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
07/06/2019: One of the best breakfasts we had all week! I can see why this is #1 on Trip advisor! Friendly service and great food all at a reasonable price given it's proximity to the Seafront.
29/05/2019: Friend and I called in for a snack/drink. Charming service from the two girls, pot of proper breakfast tea and delicious sausage rolls. I thought I had been undercharged at £4.60 for two rolls plus two drinks. And all with a view of the sea. Remarkable!

The Jolly Sailors

Brancaster, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, <20£
18/06/2019: We visited this lovely pub on Monday evening with 8 large dogs. There was plenty of room for us in the garden and we were made to feel welcome.
17/06/2019: We've driven past the Jolly Sailors many a time, but decided to give it a go having read recent reviews etc. We were positively surprised. A good menu, all at reasonable prices (unlike some other places), with some interesting options as well. This was June but a chilly evening, and we were delighted to see woodburners welcoming us in both rooms. The wine was also at a reasonable cost. Congratulations to the Manager. They certainly ensured a good quantity of vegetables with the Steak & Ale pie - slightly too much on the roots for my preference, but this is a small issue.

Bilton's

Airfield, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
31/05/2019: Rang twice only got voicemail never bothered calling back, emailed what a surprise no reply either. Fortunately there are numerous fantastic places to eat in this area so ended up having a wonderful meal at the hare arms ( beautiful)
25/05/2019: Great place to go for a Sunday lunch. You can sit in the main bar which gets really full or if you want a bit quieter there is a small back room. The service is friendly. Food wise, we all had beef which was lovely, pink and tender. Plenty of vegetables accompanied the food which we were grateful for. The only thing that let them down were the Yorkshire puddings Which tasted stale and a bit flavourless. I will be going again as it’s one of the nicest places in the area. Would be nice to see them do up their outside space too.

Snettisham Beach Fish & Chip

Snettisham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
09/06/2019: We had a stroll along the beach and then called in for fish and chips. The portions were generous and the fish, which had a very light tempura-ish batter, tasted very fresh. There is now an inside eating area as well as the seats outside. It might be helpful if they could provide knives and forks, even if only plastic ones, rather than just the wooden chip forks. But all in all very good and very good value.
26/04/2019: Fantastic fish and chips from here. We were a large group, visiting family and we always come here. Staff are very helpful and will always cater for you. See you next time

The Lynn Arms

Rudham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk
17/03/2019: I was staying in the village and had heard that the pub was nearby. I had decided not to walk so that I could enjoy a beer. I checked that the place should be open on Tuesday but upon arrival I found a notice in the window indicating closure.
12/11/2018: Go to this place twice every month when visiting Norfolk. Beers are kept well and good range. The food is excellent and at a reasonable cost. Shall visit again when I can.
