Ye Old Buck Inn

Great Witchingham, Broadland
23/01/2019: This place is honestly amazing- food is delicious (especially the scotch eggs), staff are very helpful, friendly and attentive also a great location! We will be back I'm sure:-)
19/01/2019: I have stayed here 3 times now and I won’t book anyway else. The rooms are clean and smart and if I could sneak the bed out into my car and take home I would. A-mazing! Breakfast is good and dinner is fab.

The Ship Inn

Blofield with South Walsham, Broadland, 30-45£
14/02/2019: Just has the most amazing valentines meal ! Our table was decorated with rose petals and candles, we were welcomed by friendly staff. We ordered of the set menu , pork belly for starters, mushroom risotto and halibut for main and chocolate fondant for dessert. We were absolutely amazed with the food, presentation and service !
14/02/2019: Amazing meal at the Ship tonight. We don’t usually go out on Valentine’s Day but were tempted by the menu offered. Both service and food were excellent.

The Recruiting Sergeant

Coltishall, Broadland, 30-45£
14/02/2019: Excellent food but giant portions, too much for some but probably ok for others. The food is extremely tasty
13/02/2019: It probably wasn’t wise booking at late notice for a Saturday evening ! It was very busy and very loud in the side room where we were sat; considering we had a few elderly members of the family at the table we would have liked a slightly quieter atmosphere - but this was down to us deciding to go on a Saturday.

Old Tea Rooms

Aylsham, Broadland
09/02/2019: A lovely warm & welcoming tea room with a great choice of food and cakes! Great service too, polite and helpful! Hi Had a delicious warm brownie and tuna melt, my friend had the cream tea but was disappointed it came with whipped cream and not clotted cream. I also had a milkshake which was more milk than anything (I know that sounds silly as it’s a MILKshake but it was more liquidy than I was expecting with a blob of ice cream on the top) but still very tasty! Id definitely recommend this tea room, it had a lovely feel to it and would definitely go back!
15/01/2019: I visited (with a friend) The Old Tea Rooms, yesterday (January 14th), we sat at a table, in the back room, I enjoyed a cup of Tea, and my friend enjoyed a cup of Tea, and something to eat, adding to my enjoyment of the afternoon, was a photograph of Laurel & Hardy (two of my favourite Movie Comedians), on the wall, next to the table, we sat at, a very nice Tea Rooms, which I hope to visit again.

The Black Boys Hotel & Restaurant

Aylsham, Broadland, 20-30£
11/02/2019: Eight of us dropped in Saturday lunch time on the off chance and were not disappointed. Despite no booking we were made very welcome and the service from all three staff we encountered was top notch. Good range of local beers plus excellent value small lunches at £10 each which were more than enough even for those of us walking 20km+!
03/02/2019: Sunday lunch, very big selection of roast dinners. They did a normal size roast and a large roast. Very lovely, service was excellent and the food was very tasty would not hesitate in going back again. However it looks a busy place so definitely book.

The Cock Tavern

Brundall, Broadland
21/01/2019: The old chap surprised me by booking lunch here for my birthday as I was born about a mile up the road he thought a bit of nostalgia goes a long way! Bless him. This is the last place I took my Dad for a drink before he passed away we sat almost same place so doubly nostalgic.
16/01/2019: Can get very busy so would suggest booking to make sure. Good hot food and friendly service. Plenty of parking.

Number 14

Wroxham, Broadland, <20£
09/02/2019: Have been here many times and the food and service is excellent well worth a visit. The breakfast is the best we have had any where and the coffee is lovely. We will be in again before we go home.
05/02/2019: This has become a regular stop for us. It's tiny, quite cramped but lovely. Neat little tables with painted prayer book chairs. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is all prepared and cooked on the premises and is bootiful. Try the bacon and cream cheese bagel. Comes with a side salad with a delicious dressing. We have yet to have a breakfast but they look amazing and the sandwiches are enormous. The cake selection is vast and available as take away too. You wonder how such a tiny cafe can make a go of it but they have a very good reputation locally and provide a delivered and take away service. It's always busy but a request for a table to be kept for you and a stroll along the road and over the bridge while you wait is well worth it.

Scooters Cafe

Acle, Broadland, <20£
31/01/2019: We had breakfast here we took a dog and was able to sit in a covered area at the back of the cafe, which was warm. The breakfast was of good size and tasty.
22/11/2018: Popped in today after a good dog walk and had a coffee and a slice of upside down pineapple cake. Flat white was strong and great taste and cake was just as good. Definitely found a new pit stop 👍

Heydon Village Tea Shop

Eynesford, Broadland
11/02/2019: Eight for afternoon tea in this delightful village in North Norfolk. Beautifully cooked scones and cakes plus plenty of finger sandwiches. I usually find there is not enough savoury in an Afternoon Tea but this one had more than enough with chicken, salmon, egg and cress plus cheese. Some delightful dinky cakes and a superb dessert in a cup. Service was impeccable plus a good range of ad lib tea or coffee. At £20 and with plenty left over for a snack or more, this is a real gem.
29/01/2019: My friend and I had afternoon tea here with a voucher she had received for her birthday. Luckily we had a table reserved as it was extremely busy from start to finish even though this is a very quiet village. The service the presentation and the food was exceptional. Beautiful atmosphere too. We really enjoyed it and think this is one of the best afternoon teas. Loved the lavender scone which I bought to take home with lemon curd and cream too. Thank you.

The White Horse

Blofield with South Walsham, Broadland
27/01/2019: Having discovered the pub on a river walk a few months ago, I decided to revisit it with a family group of 8, walking off Christmas excesses. We had not booked, had walked from South Walsham along the Bure and were apprehensive about being served after 2.00pm.
15/01/2019: Visited the White Horse for Boxing Day lunch. It was my first visit here despite it being fairly local. Upon entering it was obvious that this was very much a community pub with lots of locals having a Boxing Day lunchtime drink. We ordered our drinks and I noticed that there was a good selection of real ales and ciders - all priced reasonably. After being shown to our table in the conservatory at the rear we placed our orders. What arrived was excellent no frills home cooked food, full of flavour and generous portions. I had a double stacked burger but with hindsight a single would have been enough. The burger was obviously homemade being very meaty and didn't taste false. We didn't opt for a desert as we were too full, but as with the mains there was a good choice available. This place is a bit off the beaten track, you can't stumble across it but only find it if you know where you are going. Would definitely recommend for hearty home cooked food that is good value for money and friendly service.

The Bridge Inn Pub & Restaurant

Acle, Broadland, <20£
11/02/2019: After walking out of another local pub due to being ignored we decided to try the bridge. How pleased we were as we received a really friendly welcome, lovely warm atmosphere, beautiful filling food and great prices. We cant wait to return. Could not fault it one bit. Curry night looks great too
04/02/2019: Called in for our joint bithday meal, a wedding was reception was in full swing but we were made very welcome by the owners and although the place was very busy we were found a table straight away and after ordering our food and drinks did not have to wait long for our meals,

Rampant Horse PH

Marshes, Broadland
08/09/2018: travelling all over europe with my job its refreshing to find a village pub with a great choice of ales/lagers & spirits. tracy the landlady so nice as are the staff, food very good and a cheeseboard out of this world. 5*****+ once again tracy many thanks. you know who i am. peter nolan letts
13/08/2018: Whilst staying in a local local holiday let we visited this pub on a number of occasions, both for food and for a quick drink. I have never felt as welcomed in a pub before! The quality of the food is excellent, the beer is varied and well-kept, but more than anything the ambience and welcome has been excellent. We will be back - thank you.

The Plough Inn

Aylsham, Broadland, 20-30£
09/02/2019: We enjoyed a lovely meal, very pleasant staff. Would definitely visit again. Nice seating area to have a drink in either before or after meal.
02/02/2019: We had a lovely meal at the plough, the staff were welcoming and attentive, it was warm and cosy on a cold winters night with a nice atmosphere. Our meals were delicious and reasonably priced, good portion sizes too. My daughter ate from the children’s menu which was well priced with plenty of variety on the menu for her to chose from.

Kings Arms

Reepham, Broadland
14/02/2019: Imagine turning up at your favourite pub/restaurant on Valentines Day without booking! They have two ENORMOUS parties booked for lunch, but still agreed to squeeze us in, providing we don’t want lasagne or fish and chips! The staff, as always, we’re incredibly accommodating, finding a corner for us to sit, and served us a tasty hot meal within 20 minutes....amazing! We have never to date had any complaints about the service, the food or the hospitality of those working at The Kings Arms! Bravo!
03/02/2019: Kings arms reepham is a nice pub that does average food for the price. service at bar slow and cramped.
