The Courtyard

Central and Northgate, Great Yarmouth, <20£
11/09/2019: Just the two of us went for an anniversary meal, been a couple of times before and fabulous as always, great food quick and attentive service and super value.
09/09/2019: Quite a limited menu, but this is understandable for the size of the restaurant and kitchen.

The Old Bank

Snettisham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, >100£
12/09/2019: As the title says fantastic lunch, excellent value for 3 courses, the food was well balanced, beautifully cooked, well presented and the service and prices superb, it is a shame we don't live closer as this would be a very regular lunch venue for us, we will be back when we are next in the area, a great find, I can completely understand why is it so highly regarded.
10/09/2019: Despite the name, the premises of the Old Bank were not remotely bank-like. The atmosphere was intimate & carefully lit with the tables a reasonable distance from each other.

Maison Bleue Restaurant

Abbeygate, St Edmundsbury
14/09/2019: 1st time for lunch here and what a treat! We had the lunch menu that included a choice of around 5 starters, 5 mains and 5 desserts. I had the mackerel starter, followed by the Aberdeen Angus beef with the 12 hour baked Braeburn for dessert all washed down with 2 bottles of a very nice and good priced dry white house wine There were some nice amuse bouche that were also included. This was followed by the cheese board, port, coffees and petit fours and cognac to finish. What a lovely little gem of a place - if only I lived a bit closer. Service was superb from start to finish. Can't wait to come back.
03/09/2019: Maison Bleue deserves all the awards they achieve! I would always say this is the best restaurant in Bury St Edmunds if I was asked to choose!

The Buxhall Crown

Onehouse, Mid Suffolk, 20-30£
14/09/2019: The standard of the crown just keeps on improving with every visit. It is a job to find any restaurant or pub in the area to come up to their high standards. So lucky to have this on our doorstep.
10/09/2019: Lovely old pub with exerlant decore and friend staff and the food is surpurb as showing from photo. Will be going back again. And the views are beautiful

Restaurant Twenty Two

West Chesterton, Cambridge
05/09/2019: We had a great meal here, with beautiful looking and tasting food. The best food we had in Cambridge.
04/09/2019: We enjoyed the 3 course set menu. The home baked fresh breads and the Amuse Bouche were delicious. All the food is very clean on the palate. The staff are friendly always giving good explanations of the food you are about to it. Will definitely return.

Queen Victoria

Wickham Bishops and Woodham, Maldon
09/09/2019: Following our visit earlier in the month we revisited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was just fantastic. I had the absolutely delicious seafood platter and my wife who never orders fish unless we are in Devon or Greece ordered The haddock. The meals were again plentiful and superb. This place is an absolute gem and we can’t wait to revisit for a Sunday roast.
04/09/2019: Booked a table for a Sunday roast after being highly recommended. The food was excellent, piping hot and a great choice of vegetables and more if we wanted it. We were served by the delightful Emma and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going back.

The Tea Room at Corner House

The Runtons, North Norfolk
03/09/2019: Fantastic cafe. Cheese scones to die for. Best Victoria sponge. Lovely staff. Altogether great place to eat inside & out. Dog friendly.
31/08/2019: We have a late lunch in here, our first visit we were recommended as we had family who had been before, a friendly well established and very well run cafe, this is not an ordinary cafe, no everything is mainly home produced to the sandwich fillings and the home baked cakes and the standard of taste and quality is so much more, this exceeded my expectations

St Helena

Elstow, Bedford, 45-60£
07/09/2019: Having heard lots of good things about this restaurant I managed to persuade my husband to take me here for my birthday. The £45 is outstanding value for the 3 courses, plus bread, appetiser, coffee and petit fours.
07/09/2019: Amazing service and quality as always from all of the staff here. Our daughter was well and truly cared and catered for, she loves it. Raf and Frank the jewel in the crown here. Beautiful new menu, the pasta dish was exquisite, as was the goats cheese starter. Homemade breads delicious and chefs appetizer just scrummy.

The Bell Inn - Bovingdon

Bovingdon, Flaunden and Chipperfield, Dacorum
14/09/2019: We had the chicken and bacon pie plus the steak and ale pie. Both were truly excellent. The pastry was excellent and pies were very generously filled with plenty of chunky meat and lovely sauces. It was so nice to cut into a pie and have if full of meat rather than thin air. Chips and vegetables were also beautifully cooked.
08/09/2019: You have to book a few weeks in advance, but the roast at The Bell - Bovingdon is the best there is. Lamb, pork or sirloin beef. We had one of each as a family, and the portions were perfect (and big!) Delicious, and perfect service. 5⭐

Galloway's Restaurant

Aspley and Woburn, Central Bedfordshire
03/07/2019: From the moment we walked in to Galloways it was a wonderful experience. The proprietors were so welcoming and the service was excellent. The food was the best we’ve had anywhere locally and the staff were so efficient but had such a sense of fun and as we love to have a bit of banter, I suppose you would call it, they responded in such a way as to make our evening one to remember in lots of ways other than the food and the wonderful ambience of the place itself. Our wish was their command. They couldn’t do enough to make our visit superb. We plan to make this restaurant our one to celebrate all our special occasions and this goes for the friends that came with us also.
03/06/2019: Excellent service. Lovely atmosphere. Great wine. Chicken pakora amazing. Fillet steak perfectly cooked. Can’t wait to visit again.

The Lowestoft Tandoori

Harbour, Waveney
12/09/2019: We were visiting Lowestoft whilst on a mini break and decided to go off the fantastic trip advisor reviews for this restaurant - and it definitely lived up to them!! A little unassuming on the outside, this restaurant is the definition of ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover’. The staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They were exceptionally generous with the food (which was some of the best Indian food we have ever eaten). We found it to be very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!!
11/09/2019: Always order from here, the only Indian establishment I ever eat from. You won’t find food like it elsewhere.

Bure River Cottage Restaurant

St Benet, North Norfolk, >100£
10/09/2019: We decided to celebrate our anniversary by visiting this fish restaurant as we were impressed by the reviews we had read. We were not disappointed. The meal was a culinary delight. We had baked crab to start , followed by Dover sole for our main course. It was a true delight of flavours with fish. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout the evening.
03/09/2019: This is one of my FAVORITE restaurants Nigel and Abby work really hard to provide an excellent service, the waiting staff are always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and if you love fish cooked simply this is the place for you the food is always delicious, we have taken many friends to dine here and love to go as just a couple. Highly recommend.

The Ingham Swan

Waxham, North Norfolk, 45-60£
10/09/2019: Arrived sunday mid afternoon, very busy with sunday lunches but we were greeted promptly at the bar/reception and shown to our room. The inn has recently undergone a rebuild and refurbishment after a fire and re-opened about 6 months ago.It would seem that no expense has been spared and the end result, both in the inn and the barn containing the accommodation,is of a very high standard. Our evening meal was exceptional. We had the taster menu which proved to be delightful.Breakfast was,as expected, very good. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The location is a quiet country setting, close to the coast and Norwich, with good car parking.
09/09/2019: We were on our way to the Old Vicarage garden in East Ruston and were looking for somewhere to have lunch so I had a look on Tripadvisor to see what was near and The Swan came up. We were made very welcome despite not having booked and thoroughly enjoyed the Lunch du jour. We will definitely be returning!

The Green Man

Whittlesford, South Cambridgeshire, 20-30£
14/09/2019: Fabulous, warm, welcoming, neat and unusual table decoration (you need to go to see it) and the not Spanish Tapas was fantastic
13/09/2019: Went there today with the family and ordered a round of drinks and a portion of chips for the grandsons. 20 minutes later had to ask where our £4.00 portion of chips were, to be told "Oh haven't you got them yet". Server offered to find out what was happening with them, or a refund on cancellation. Decided to take the cancellation as we'd all finished our drinks by then, which left the youngest grandson in tears.

Roger Hickman's restaurant

Mancroft, Norwich, 60-100£
06/09/2019: Had a great meal here. Highly recommended!! Good staff. Good ambiance. Will he back when I next visit norwich.
01/09/2019: Fantastic food. Great service. Staff are attentive and very friendly. Food arrived quickly. Wine list is also great.
