Ascough's Bistro

Market Harborough-Little Bowden, Harborough, <20£
01/03/2019: We went to Ascoughs for Lunch today. There was a set price for two or three courses. The food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by us all. The restaurant was bright and modern. Will certainly go back.
25/02/2019: Always amazing, but on Saturday I was blown away. Due to my ridiculous dietary requirements I am always a challenge and need substituted items on most dishes. This time I chose the scallops despite the original recipe being totally unsuitable for me. After what could only have been 15 minutes at most, I was presented with scallops on a potato and prawn risotto. it was absolutely delicious. Impromptu and creative brilliance. Thanks to all at Ascough's; see you soon.

The White Swan

11/03/2019: We enjoyed a lovely meal with friends at the White Swan. Great atmosphere with excellent food and service too! Will definitely book again.
08/03/2019: I came in on a Wednesday evening and had the 6 course tasting menu

The Attic Restaurant

Bosworth, Harborough, 30-45£
07/03/2019: Stumbled upon this restaurant on Tripadvisor purely by accident, Promising reviews so thought we would pay a visit.
16/02/2019: This restaurant has many positives: the ample parking for example, the nice toilets, the setting is very nice with views over the golf course and inside it's cosy and nicely decorated.

The Lighthouse

Kibworth, Harborough
07/03/2019: Visited on a Saturday with friends. Lovely ambiance, the owner was friendly, charismatic and knowledgeable. My fish pie was delicious... no complaints! We will definitely be back 😀
01/03/2019: We had the most wonderful meal last night off the set menu. I had whitebait and salmon with soy, my husband (a vegetarian who doesn’t like peppers or risotto!) had Welsh rarebit and tortellini with pecorino and honey. The creamy sauce on his pasta was delicious and I ended up dipping my veg in it.

Coach and Horses

Kibworth, Harborough
01/02/2019: We rang at short notice (11 of us), and were welcomed with a smile and good humour. Lunch was excellent, and considering there were quite a few different dishes, service was excellent.
10/01/2019: I've gone over and over for some time how to critique this pub for the second visit. All I can do is say..

Joiners Arms

06/03/2019: Very Nice Roast Beef Dinner with Good Service- think we were served by the landlord a polish guy who was very helpful and attended to all our needs including my very demanding children

The Chandlers Arms at Shearsby

Peatling, Harborough
24/01/2019: Well worth a visit to Shearsby to experience this quaint village pub. Good pub-grup, massive portions. Limited gluten free option. Well behaved dogs allowed. Friendly locals.
15/10/2018: It’s several years since we last visited . The atmosphere is welcoming along with the staff the meal was of a good standard we had the Salmon goujon and venison burger both were well cooked and came with salad and chips. My only concern would be that a variation on chips might help.

The Old Barn Inn

Billesdon, Harborough
24/02/2019: We visited to sample the steak night offer of two steaks plus a bottle of wine for £20. Unbelievable value some chose sirloin some ribeye which were a generous 12 ozs cooked perfectly to our order, juicy tender and well trimmed so all edible, served with a generous portion of chips mushroom tomato and green salad. The wine was a very pleasant Shiraz, we somewhat greedily ordered a starter I chose the Prawn cocktail which was large delicious and reasonably priced. We will return soon!!
21/02/2019: Fabulous steak meal last night, great and 'genuinely' friendly customer service from Jacqui, the young lady and other staff who you can tell all enjoy working there. Cannot fault this place. Thank you

Market Harborough-Logan, Harborough
10/03/2019: Had dinner here with a few friends one Saturday night and was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food for the price paid - £15 for a burger, side and dessert. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Would definitely return.
10/03/2019: We decided to phone and reserve a table for 5, Delicious Burgers The staff were very good with the kids. I had heard good reviews about Meatcure and we all enjoyed today's 1st visit.

The Crown Inn

Misterton, Harborough
16/03/2019: Always made to feel very welcome by all the staff. Three of us enjoyed the carvery it was just excellent, just like home cooked food. One of our party had a curry, all meals were plentiful, hot & delicious. Prices are very competitive too.
05/03/2019: THE CROWN is one of my favourite places to eat. Great service. Food, plenty of it and served on hot plates. All the staff were friendly and efficient. I would totally recommend THE CROWN. BOOKING IS ADVISABLE .

The Garden Barn

Misterton, Harborough
27/01/2019: This barn is on the A426 between Rugby and Lutterworth and is a fantastic place to visit - to brouse around the barn which is full of eclectic , rustic and shabby chic items for sale. It has an outside area with interesting garden pots, ornaments and plants, and while you are there you can have a drink ,snack or full meal in the cafe bar.
15/01/2019: First visit for me. What a lovely warm and friendly place. Quirky items for sale in the vast indoor and outdoor shop/garden centre. My partner and I had a lovely Scone and Cake in the Café, very welcoming with log burner and views over the Warwickshire countryside. Definitely will be visiting again!

Rocksalt Seafood and Grill

Market Harborough-Great Bowden and Arden, Harborough
10/03/2019: We have eaten here several times, have always really enjoyed it and have recommended it to others. However, we had a very disappointing meal on this occasion.
10/03/2019: Struggling to workout why there are negative comments! Too many fussy people in this day and age! Visited there last night. The service was very good. a young lad who attended to us was very polite and well mannered we loved him. The food was absolutely outstanding. Flavours to die for. Yes maybe the time between sitting and down and receiving your mum was quite quick but we’d only moan if it was taking too long (how typically english). 4 courses, 2 glasses of large wine for £74 is a bargain. First time we had been there but certaiy will be back, my new favourite local restaurant i think

The Bell Inn

Lubenham, Harborough
09/03/2019: Six of us met here for a meal. Got served 5 mains - they forgot to order mine. My chicken pie eventually arrived - stone cold in the middle, soggy pastry and hard vegetables, not ideal. Lemon meringue for pudding which was very processed tasting. 2 had steak which was hard to chew and a limp fish. Won’t be returning.
13/02/2019: We do not normally do Sunday lunch but this was a birthday party for my father in law.
