The Tea House in the Woods

Woodhall Spa, East Lindsey
16/06/2020: Today we enjoyed a very tasty afternoon tea for my husband's Birthday! It all went to the pre-arranged plan! We parked in front of the tea house, opened the boot and a young man came out with our tea - all carefully packaged in environmentally friendly containers. (Well done!) Sandwiches, scones (a cheese and a fruit scone) delicious sponge cake - coffee and chocolate and a summer fruit posset. We were also able to buy a takeaway tea.Since it was a sunny afternoon, we were able to drive over to Jubilee Park and enjoy our food. We would thoroughly recommend this experience.
08/06/2020: Just to let you know we had a Afternoon Tea Takeout for my birthday, what a feast.Easy to book and collection was pull up in the car park with boot open, they drop your takeout in the boot and close it and off you go.There were a virity of sandwiches with a side salad, followed by a massive scone with jam & cream, then a lemon posset before a final course of a loverly home made coffee cake.Would highly recomend and think they are doing a first class service under the circumstances.

Serendipity at The Priory

St James', East Lindsey
24/02/2020: What a great meal and overnight stay we had this week at the Priory Hotel! Other reviews suggested it was "quirky"... it certainly was, but that absolutely made it! The food on the taster menu was amazing and just kept coming.... the service was second to none and the good feeling you get from supporting the ideology of the place and the positivity of the chef Paul was so uplifting. Great to see these guys get
16/02/2020: Paul managed to fit us in at short notice for the “Peaky Blinders” themed New Years Eve. We booked a room which was delightful, so cosy with nice little touches like his and hers dressing gowns and hot water bottles(not that you needed them).

The Barley Mow

Wainfleet and Friskney, East Lindsey
07/05/2020: Fabulous as always. My wife and I have enjoyed the hospitality and excellent food at the Barley Mow since Jayne first opened. We last visited the restaurant on the Friday before Lockdown, 20 March , my wife had the haddock and chips which was superb as usual. I had my favourite, fillet steak which was cooked exactly to my liking , with peppercorn sauce . Both our meals were exceptional as always , we wish all the Team at B M all the very best and hope to see them soon .
25/02/2020: The Barley Mow is a really great place to eat out, Jayne and her team provide food that is stunning to say the very least, if you want a fabulous Sunday Lunch then look no further.

The Old Chequers

Croft, East Lindsey
02/03/2020: Popped in and managed to grab a table before they were fully booked for the carvery, amazing array of choice for such a small place, food was outstanding, staff very friendly and allowed us with two dogs ! It's a real treat!
25/02/2020: What can you say about the Old Chequers Inn.To sum it up in a few words, the food is fantastic as are the real ales, brewed just down the road in Wainfleet by Batemans.Cost atmosphere with outside seating, weather permitting.Well worth a visit if your in the area, got to be a 10/10.

The Stables Bar & Restaurant

Withern with Stain, East Lindsey
12/03/2020: my husband and i have been meaning to try this resturant for ages and we were not disapointed the food was amazing the service just perfect . we will definatly be going again.
08/03/2020: We visited the restaurant yesterday and had a lovely meal. The building is light and airy and we had a window seat with the sun streaming in, it was very pleasant. We were attended to very well. The service and the presentation and quality of the food was excellent. This is our second visit to the Stables having had a family meal there on Boxing Day with some of our party staying overnight in the accommodation at the park on which the restaurant is situated. On that occasion the chef made a beautiful vegan Thai style curry for one of our party. This restaurant was recommended to us and I have no hesitation in passing on the recommendation. There are few places of quality to eat in this area and th Stables is a gem! Thank you.

Durham Ox

Horncastle, East Lindsey
07/03/2020: Called this evening for a meal, service very good but very limited gluten free options, not even bread to go with Camembert! Ribeye stake was ok but chips had a “taste” . Not bad enough to complain but not good enough to rush back I’m afraid.
02/03/2020: (Traducido por Google) Buena comida, personal agradable y un pub muy agradable. Me encanta el fuego abierto allí, le da al lugar una sensación muy agradable. (Original) Nice food, nice staff and a really nice pub. Love the open fire there, it gives the place a really nice feel.

Fat Seagull

Sutton on Sea South, East Lindsey, <20£
21/05/2020: Love the Fat Seagull. We travel 50 miles just to get lunch there. Hot, tasty food and wonderful atmosphere, even the chef came out to talk to us once. Just found out that it is open for takeaway so see you all very soon. Yum!
10/03/2020: Called in on a Friday afternoon and had a bacon roll and a lovely cup of coffee ! Lovely looking place, great staff and dog friendly (outside covered area)

The Cauldron

Mablethorpe Central, East Lindsey
20/04/2020: Called for breakfast on my England coast walk as a result of excellent Tripadvisor reviews. They were spot on. I arrived too early, they dont start breakfast until 9am. As I was walking away the owner called me back and said that although it was only 8.30 his wife would cook breakfast for me. I had the big breakfast and a pot of tea for £4.95. It was perfect. The cafe is very clean, food beautifully cooked and presented and the owners are delightful people. They deserve to be successful.
28/03/2020: What a fine was on holiday in mablethorpe in march was looking for some lunch very large portion and hot cooked fresh lovely ladies when back following day and the owner came out to talk to us made feel like we was welcomed to be they even tho on holiday thank you ladies can't wait to come back when covid 19 is all over i was a chef for 20 years so i know it not often we get praise for a hard job see you soon xx

Horncastle, East Lindsey
11/03/2020: We have visited a few times, the food is always of a very high standard and nicely presented. Home made bread is a nice touch and delicious. Relaxed atmosphere. Good value for money, nothing to not recommend.
23/02/2020: Four of us met for dinner at Shakesby's and found the food to be of such high quality, in terms of presentation, taste and texture. We chose the steak pie, the risotto, the braised beef and the pork, and no-one had a single word of complaint. Great quality hot food delivered to the table promptly and professionally. The shared vegetables dish was excellent too. It's only a small moan, but I'd ask the wait staff, toward the end of the evening, to keep an eye out for customers waving for attention, when they are engrossed in chatting to customers they know. Three times I waved, and in the end went to to the till to ask for the bill. But for the rest of the evening, the wait staff were excellent. As a real ale drinker, I particularly liked being given the option of bottled beers either from the fridge or the shelf, a nice touch that no-one else is doing. Shelf every time for me.

The Coach House

Halton Holegate, East Lindsey
31/05/2020: During Covid-19 pandemic The Coach House has now started doing takeaways so we gave it a go and weren't disappointed. The choice on the menu was great (not just your typical burger /fish/chips) but a great range of proper "dishes" including starters, sides and puds, plus bottled/canned soft drinks/alcohol. The service was superb - telephoned our order, arranged a pick-up time (delivery also available), no waiting, excellent social-distancing, food piping hot and ready to collect, easy payment. Everything was well-served in appropriate containers, generous portions and the food was absolutely delicious. Well done The Coach House - we'll be back!!!
08/03/2020: Absolutely shocked to receive a child’s size portion for an adult meal, the roast pork was wafer thin plus we were overcharged. Very disappointed and will definitely not be going back!

Lusso by Lanzetta

Scarbrough, East Lindsey
07/03/2020: Service, food just as amazing as ever. Very polite staff who were very attentive. The food was brilliant full of flavour and cooked really well. Brilliant value for money
15/02/2020: Delicious food & great coffee. Attentive but not overly “busy” staff. I had chicken & chorizo skewers & a side salad, yum! I’m definitely going to eat here again soon.

12/02/2020: What a geat fish and chip shop ....and more! The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are really friendly. The food is delicious, local grown potatoes for the chips and homemede fish cakes, lovely white fish cooked to perfection and they even make their own tartare sauce from home grown herbs! You can sit inside and eat, or outside if the weather is kind or take food out. Our take away food shop of choice, definatly be back for more.

Axe & Cleaver

North Somercotes, East Lindsey
24/03/2020: Ok, so I have not been to this Restuarant before to eat but I will be going when this awful virus is killed off! That's is a promise.

Mablethorpe East, East Lindsey
01/06/2020: Living in Mablethorpe Saltys was in my opinion THE best chippy around. Due to Covid19 they had to close, but recently reopened. We have been twice since the reopening, and both times been very disappointed. First visit and the haddock was of poor quality and today on our 2nd visit the fish batter was very pale in colour and the fish greasy. I ordered large carton portions of peas and curry and on opening at home found we had only received small cartons.Standards seem to be slipping, something you cannot afford with so many chip shops in the town. Come in Saltys, pull your socks up. It is not just day trippers you are serving. Some of us live here all year round and demand quality, especially now your prices have increased.
26/05/2020: I was in the area, called to see if they was open as it was a Bank Holiday. The call was answered enthusiastically and professionally so off I went for my fish & chips! The service was excellent, friendly and helpful, as for the food, this was amazing, fresh and possibly the best fish & chips I have had for a long time. I would certainly recommend and would have no hesitation to make this a priority visit next time I am in the area.

Four Candles

Holton le Clay, East Lindsey

What more could you ask for? Definitely book as Four Candles gets full pretty quickly. The lamb dish that is on the specials board is DELICIOUS!!
12/02/2020: My wife and I call here as our first and service always very good.home made cakes mouth watering and they don’t lift your leg on price.
