Durham Ox

Horncastle, East Lindsey
01/01/2019: Highly recommend the Cow Pie and also the Vegetarian Mixed Grill as main courses. Desserts we tried were jam sponge and custard and Rolo cheesecake, both lovely.

The Coach House

Halton Holegate, East Lindsey
26/12/2018: Welcomed with toddler and dog. Able to have non festive lunch. Good and reasonably priced food. Yummy chips! Friendly staff.
21/12/2018: My friend and I visited on 19 December and were amazed! From outside it looked like it would be a typically woodclad dark public house, but was so pleasantly surprised: a lovely clean and classy decor in shades of light gray and white. Refreshing and comforting.

Serendipity at The Priory

St James', East Lindsey
22/12/2018: I originally booked to go for a tasting session on my wife's birthday in November but due to some miscommunication (from both sides!) we had to reschedule. We booked the only date in December we could do (20th) and are so glad we did. From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Everybody was friendly and looked like they were happy both to be there, and to look after us. The food was of a very high standard, the atmosphere second to none. We're already planning a second visit. Thanks very much to everyone for making it such a wonderful evening.
16/12/2018: We returned to our favourite place for an overnight stay and to enjoy the amazing Taster menu thanks to a voucher bought by our son. On our arrival there was a confusion as we had requested ‘The Four Poster’ room as we had got married at The Priory and always prefer to stay in this room. Paul couldn’t apologise enough and to compensate he waivered the room fee and placed us in an equally comfortable room with complimentary wine.

Ali's Indian Restaurant

Holton le Clay, East Lindsey
21/12/2018: What a brilliant meal, 15 of us eating last night (20/12/18) all having different dishes mostly and even though the place was full the food came to us at a very reasonable pace. Food was just excellent as was the service, extremely fragrant, very good quality and the price was more than reasonable. Would and have recommended to all
09/12/2018: Came to ali’s for a takeaway, greeted by lovely, friendly staff. ordered my food and waited at the reatauarnt for it! i ordered a chicken balti, boiled rice and peshwari naan, can honestly say it was the best chicken balti i have ever had so much spice and lovely flavouring! was ready in about 15-20 minutes too, Lovely atmosphere to this place everyone there is very friendly and welcoming, definatly would recommened this place either for a takeaway/delivery or to sit in and have a meal!

The Tea House in the Woods

Woodhall Spa, East Lindsey
01/01/2019: Fantastic food brilliant service and very good value for money. Would highly recommended this establishment. Very close to the kinema in the woods, so it is convienient for a meal either before of after going to watch a film. Good disability access.
24/12/2018: We had an afternoon tea again and it was excellant. The food was delicious and home made, and the staff went out of their way to help, nothing was too much trouble.would reccomend this place to everyone, next time we go we will try out the hot meals which looked very good.

The Ranch Steakhouse & Grill

Priory, East Lindsey, 20-30£
16/12/2018: Exactly what you would expect, from a steak house. slightly above average prices, but it's worth a visit. Nice surroundings, atmosphere is perfect for this kind of restaurant. Staff have always been friendly and professional. Not Spooky at all.
13/12/2018: Lovely fun birthday meal. Food is very filling with enormous portions and cooked well. Staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a nice buzz about the place. Not too expensive. American style food at its best and great steaks. Puddings are worth having if you have any room left after your meal!

Rachel's Cafe

Tetford, East Lindsey
16/12/2018: As Mary poppies would say, perfect in every way. Lovely 3 course Christmas meal with all the trimmings, super desserts, love coming here
11/12/2018: Out of town but easy parking and worth the visit. Good food and plenty of it. Excellent pot of tea every time you pop in.

Four Candles

Holton le Clay, East Lindsey
29/12/2018: Pleasant staff and good service. They do get busy in here so maybe you might have to ask them for a refill before they get chance to ask you but that’s pretty much an everyday occurrence in places where you eat. Not sure why people say it’s expensive either- you get what you pay for and it’s worth every penny. You can get freshly cooked breakfast here cheaper than a fast food outlet such as Macdonalds! Maybe it’s me, but I can’t find a fault with this place. Staff are always pleased to help, good coffee at good prices. Food is fresh and well prepared (and same price as a lot of places surrounding here) it’s great to have something of this standard close to home with the option of being healthy too (they don’t force you to take the cheesecake with you.. it just kind of happens)
18/12/2018: We had the Christmas Afternoon Tea and it was absolutely fabulous! From start to finish it was wholesome, nutritious and very tasty. The buns were soft and fresh, fillings were very tasty and delicious. The sweets were very naughty, but very wonderful and totally very filling and tasty. The greeting we received was excellent and made to feel welcome and so lovely. The price was great too, not too pricy and definitely worth every penny and won’t dint your wallet. So would we go again? Yes, definitely and totally awesome and so fabulously delicious!

Lady B's Cupcakery

Mablethorpe East, East Lindsey
12/12/2018: Can't visit mablethorpe without visiting Lady B's. Staff are lovely and food is amazing. Wonderful service and very nice tea rooms
09/12/2018: Haven't been to Lady B's for ages then suddenly had time during the day but they were on a beach in New York. Week later and the B's were back so popped in for a slice of our fav cheesecakes. Banoffee and lemon cheesecake complemented by pots of assam tea.

St Clement's, East Lindsey
12/12/2018: Wd have been twice to this restaurant, the first time it was exceptional the second time absolutely diabolical. Over cooked fillet steaks, returned wanted them med rare, came back blue.
01/12/2018: 2 couples out for a meal, lovely decor and clean inside and out. Good menus and plenty to choose from. The food when ordered came quickly and was to a high standard, just the right amount also. A great selection of drinks and amazing gins. The price?, for the quality food and good service that we received, the price was reasonable. So no complaints from us, happy to go here again

Sea Breeze Restaurant

Sutton on Sea North, East Lindsey
13/12/2018: We have been to this resturant many times throughout the years and have never had a disappointing meal. Out last visit was for a chrostmas lunch.
09/12/2018: Been for a lovely evening meal at the Sea Breeze Restaurant in Sutton-on-Sea. We have been a number of times, and I thought it is about time that I shared my thoughts on this lovely restaurant. First of all the food was wonderful. I had the Mairmaid's Purse for main course, which was a perfectly cooked rare steak (and I mean perfectly...) stuffed with prawns. One of the best steaks I have had in many years.

Bar Castillejar Louth

Priory, East Lindsey, <20£
24/12/2018: Had lunch in this cosy small restaurant.Food was excellent quality and service too.
25/11/2018: Nice restaurant but tapas to use was average. I appreciate a lot of tapas is fried, accentuated by use of cured meats, but we found every dish to be very greasy. Not shocking but busy enough so must be doing something right

Axe & Cleaver

North Somercotes, East Lindsey
01/01/2019: We travelled from the north bank to Donna Nook seal reserve. Knowing we were close to our destination and hungry (and aware there's only a burger van at the reserve) we were anxiously looking for a substantial pub lunch. Turning a corner we saw the welcoming sight of The Axe and Cleaver. The pub had a log burner, friendly bar staff and a comprehensive, unfussy menu. Food was substantial, well cooked and tasty. Prices were reasonable and we all left happy. I'd recommend this pub again.
30/12/2018: We needed something to eat after visiting Donna Nook and did we strike lucky. Beautiful Sunday lunch, great staff and a superb atmosphere. And they had no intention of us leaving hungry!

14 Upgate

St Mary's, East Lindsey, 45-60£
22/11/2018: Visited here with a business associate on a Wednesday night for the tasting menu.
20/10/2018: Ate Friday evening. 8 courses all of which were delightful many of which were outstanding. Great produce skilfully prepared and presented beautifully. Some very clever dishes executed and served to perfection An excellent range of aperitifs and wines, not overly priced. The service was excellent, we felt really cared for. This is a really great restaurant. Well done

San Rufo's

St Clement's, East Lindsey
12/12/2018: Terrible food, booked for 7 o'clock got our main meal 9 oclock. 3 people had order 3 different chicken dishes. The chicken appeared to have all been boiled then put into a different sauce. They dI'd refund the cost of one chicken meal
02/12/2018: First time trying this restaurant as my husband is a Chinese and Indian food fan! I love Italian food so I persuaded him to give it a try! He was very pleased with his food he said we will come back again! Now I call that a result!!.. It was delicious and the waiting staff were very very nice and attentive, definitely will go back again!!..
