Ye Olde Red Lion

Five Village, Boston
13/02/2019: I'm running out of superlatives for this divine place. Never had a bad meal, but it just gets better and better. Had the pork loin and I couldn't fault any of it, vegetables perfectly cooked and the flavour of the jus sublime. Struggled to resist the temptation to lick the plate. Well done red lion!!!! Can't wait to return.
04/02/2019: Booked as is the prevailing wisdom , turned up at appointed time and had a very good lunch in surroundings with genuine history . Drinks came in good time . A nice place that tries . Take your best teeth and relax .

Concreation Garden Centre

Swineshead and Holland Fen, Boston
14/02/2019: This time curiosity got the better of us. Descided to investigate for lunch. Looks like a farm barn from outside. Inside its warm , bright ,cheery. Quirkyness everywhere to bring a smile to your face. The staff looked as though most of them had 'retired' and were working there for fun and enjoying themselve and making sure you did too. Very friendly and helpful. We only had tea and sandwiches but they were wonderful. The bread so fresh and thick with lots of filling. Deliscious.
27/01/2019: It’s always a pleasure to go into Baythorpe and see Denise and Rob. Friendly atmosphere and staff always more than willing to help out. We had an all day breakfast each - good portion size and excellent value for money. Will definitely visit again.

Supreme Inns Haven Restaurant

Swineshead and Holland Fen, Boston
04/03/2019: We had heard quite a few good reviews about this place and from reading about in the local magazine.
03/03/2019: I booked a meal for five for my mums 90th birthday. We had a variety of meals from the restaurant menu. They all arrived hot, at the same time and beautifully presented. We all commented on how tasty the food was. We also indulged in a dessert each and again beautifully presented and clearly homemade. My mums arrived with candles, she was presented with a birthday card and a round of Happy Birthday was sung. This was unexpected but thoughtful. The guy who served us was pleasant with a sense of humour. Many thanks for making this a special meal. We no longer live in Lincolnshire but when we come back to visit this is the only place I would eat.

The Wheatsheaf Bar & Grill

Frampton and Holme, Boston, <20£
12/03/2019: Staying nearby we did a bit of research on where to eat and thought we would give The Wheatsheaf a try. Cannot fault the service and the food was delicious. Nice, quiet surroundings too. Will definitely be giving The Wheatsheaf a return visit when next in the area.
09/03/2019: We met another couple here as a half way point and were shown a table in the bar area. Good selection of traditional pub food available- I went for the battered haddock, batter light, fish perfectly cooked and presented with good portion of proper chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. My wife’s lasagne served with salad, chips and garlic bread also got seal of approval but proved too much to eat it all. Our friends had chilli burger and seared tuna. The burger had onion rings that looked fabulous. Definitely a a bit of food envy. Also dog friendly. Why not 5 stars? We were on a weekend trip from the midlands and always look forward to trying local ales when away. The Wheatsheaf had Black Sheep, which was served well and the beer that appears to be everywhere at the moment, Doombar.

The Ship Inn

Five Village, Boston
20/02/2019: On booking was given a choice of 4 fillings for sandwiches per person. Narrowed to egg or cheese if one person is vegetarian. No salad as shown on their website. Cake nothing like on website, and their choosing not ours.
26/01/2019: Four of us have visited this evening and had a great meal. We each had different dishes and all were cooked and served superbly. Great food, great service, we will certainly visit again.

Johnsons Garden Centre

Fishtoft, Boston
08/02/2019: had lunch today serive was exceptionally quick! as they have a limited menue of the day it is very easy for quick efficent service of good quality freshly prepared food! we had the steak and kidney pie with mash and vedgetables at £5.95 very good value, food was served very hot with accompaning gravy boat, all freshly prepared today. as we were finishing our meal the pie was removed from list as this was at 1245hrs it goes to show they do limit what they are producing!
27/01/2019: Nipped into Johnson’s today for a drink and a bit of cake on our way back through Boston. My boyfriend had a bit of chocolate fudge cake and I had coffee and walnut. He had a Pepsi and I had a “posh pop” strawberry and rhubarb. Cake was lovely and moist and a fair sized slice for the price. Garden centre was nice for a little walk around - fairly priced, and the food hall had a good variety of produce.

10/03/2019: We ate here many years ago and it was excellent then so not sure why it has taken so long to return!
20/01/2019: You couldn't be made to feel more welcome by jo if she tried. Always a warm welcome and we joke that I come that often I just have the usual. I bring a different friend each time who also can't rave about it enough and they then bring family members as well. The food is always authentic and so tasty.

Crumbs

Pilgrim, Boston
07/03/2019: I popped in here for some food after a morning in town. The place is tucked away down Dolphin Lane and appeared full when I went in (at lunch time) however, upon further inspection there is an upstairs area with more seating available. I ordered one of the 'all day breakfast' options and they seemed very popular with neighbouring tables opting for the same dish. The staff are polite and attentive and the place is nice and clean. I waited a short while for my food - but this is because items are freshly cooked to order. Nice ambiance, with newspapers available to borrow which is a thoughtful touch.
01/03/2019: ok first after we had our meal and my support workerand i went to pay for it as we both had a big breakfast 2 eggs, chips, beans,bacon,2 toast,tomatos,2 sausages and a mug of coffee each i ask the staff if next time would it be ok for my support worker and i shared one breakfast between us so there would not be so much waste that she said would be ok no prob so next time we go as we can not eat it all do to the amount on the plate the food is very good and cooked fresh and you get it nice and hot
