Been trying fir quite a while to try out the breakfast. Well the wait was absolutely well worth it. Full Welsh, Cappuccino. Without a shadow of a doubt must be the best breakfast I have had. Every moral was very taste and washed down with a very nice Cappuccino. For those wanting to try the best breakfast, go to the Post Room.

This is a great place for a function we went to a show and the function room is a great size The bar is at the back of the room and offer a good variety of drinks at ok prices, however I did get charged different prices for the same drinks depending on who served me The toilets are a bit quirky, the men's are hidden up the side of the stage women's and disabled in the main room just next to the balcony Been here several times and all been good

Absolutely 5 out of 5 for this amazing food .We went as a last minute meal .I was a bit dubious as had previously been for a works do and it wasn’t great . But our meal last night was outstanding. We decided on “Rays”pate to start (due to sentimental reasons on my side ) . Wow a huge chunk of pate and it was ,didn’t take photo of it ,with 1 and 1/2 slices of thick bread and red onion relish ,served beautifully on a board . I was full after that 🤣. Main course ,wow . My husband ordered the homemade pie and it was full of flavour ,lots of meat with a shortcrust pastry topping in served in an enamel pie dish ,with fresh peas and fresh chips . I ordered the loaded chicken breast ,with onions and mushrooms and cheese, with salad and I normally would have baked potato, but I just wanted chips and it was not a problem. Wow when it came out ,a big portion of fresh salad ,which wasn’t wilted ,finely chopped peppers and cucumber ,lettuce chopped,(just how I like it) lots of onions and tomatoes, with a balsamic glaze .Chips freshly cooked .Then the chicken ,a fresh thick chicken breast ,which was succulent and not dry ,with the topping of fresh mushrooms and onions ,nothing processed at all. I couldn’t finish it all ,but it was delicious. The desert menu came ,so much choice ,I was totally full and wished I could eat more ,as not a dessert person ,but a couple of choices I could have gone for .Plus they do Sidolis ice cream desserts too . My husband decided to have crunchie cheesecake and wasn’t disappointed, another very large portion with Sidoli ice cream The staff were amazing and helpful and friendly, not long waiting times either excellent customer service.I also noticed ,as it’s a family and dog friendly pub ,but on the tables booked for families ,they had put crayons and activity sheets for children .Its just these very simple little touches ,that in my opinion show that they care about the clientele and that your just not number to make them money ,sadly this seems to have been lost by many establishment s . Both my husband and myself(and I’m very fussy being an x chef) said this is one of the best meals had around in our 30 odd mile radius in a very long time excellent food and excellent value for money, unlike so many in the areas . Looking forward to next visit .Thank you Upper Cock
