The best restaurants serving Default food in Rural West York York Yorkshire and The Humber

Popped in here last Friday (02.05.25) as we were in the area, had a lovely meal. Everyone was friendly.

Top Indian restaurant! Excellent, tasty food with an extensive menu and friendly, good-humoured staff. Highly recommended - we are frequent customers and our grandchildren love it!

Best pies in York. Best pies ever tasted. Superb service too.

Después de un rebote en los trampolines para una hora, puede relajarse en la cafetería de arriba y disfrutar de comida muy agradable. Tomamos una pizza grande por solo 10 libras. La pizza realmente caliente y sabroso, con generosas porciones de queso en la parte superior y fue v delicioso. Tuve una buena taza de té. También tienen bocadillos, patatas con bacon, patatas fritas, patatas fritas coberturas cursi, perros calientes y bebidas, además de aperitivos como plazas choc.

The Lord Collingwood is a nice village pub. There is a nice selection of cask drinks, including two hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when i visited. There is a tv showing Sky Sports. The pub is very popular for meals. I haven't tried the food, so I can't comment. The staff are very welcoming and the pub is dog friendly.

really great food, it's on the porch expensive side for a takeaway but we really enjoyed everything!! would recommend

Highly recommend this lovely cafe, it’s staffed by really friendly and lovely ladies and has a great atmosphere. The food is excellent and it’s an absolute gem of a cafe/shop. Definitely worth a visit!

Good hotel. The rooms were spacious and the walls were thick so you couldn’t hear the rooms next door. Plenty of parking available.

My favourite Indian takeaway in York.

We stayed at the Premier Inn York North, and the Beefeater was attached. We went in for tea with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. We were served by Annie, who was very polite and helpful. Our food was amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the Baconeater was one of the tastiest burgers I'd had in ages. I highly recommend eating here and cannot wait for breakfast 😋

Fui aquí para una cita con DH. Hemos estado solo una vez antes. Los dos sufrimos intoxicación alimentaria grave. Todavía recuperándose días después. No me arriesgaría. Vamos a ver si pueden reembolsarnos.

We visited on April 24th having read the good reviews on here. Arrived just after 6 and the pub was already quite busy ( always a good sign) but we got a table to eat ok. We then had an excellent pub experience of some good drinks and great food. The 3 young ladies who were serving both drinks and food were all very friendly,polite and efficient. The food was good British Pub food. I had Sausage and Mash and my partner had Gammon and chips. The pub itself was old fashioned but in the best sense, beams and fireplaces, loved it. Would definitely recommend but might be worth booking.

As a contractor who works all over the country I can positively say this one here is the worst McDonald’s in the land and not just a one off bd experience as I live in York and gave this one many a chance this particular restaurant needs new management asap Kids who have zero manners serving and hanging up the phones on customers calling to complain manager basically called me a lier on the phone while trying to protect his inept staff after they decided to hang up on me not once but twice without letting me barely speak other than the bit where I tell them what I’m calling for ( nah can’t be bothered with this phone down) food is always wrong and usually also cold,drive that little further and go to the one on Bilbrough top services best in area

This is definitely our new favourite place. We’ve been a few times now. Service is friendly, fast and efficient and the food is another level. Beautiful, warm, fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back xx
