The best restaurants serving Default food in Saffron Walden Castle Uttlesford East of England

We visited on 2nd April for my husbands Birthday lunch The food and the atmosphere were great and Lindsey and Ollie provided first class service . I spilt my coffee and Lindsey was there in seconds like a caped crusader, cloth ín hand, to clean it up . To cap it all my husband was presented wiht a cake and lit candle and everyone gathered round to síng Happy Birthday to hím. A really lovely visit. Thanks to everyone involved

Excellent friendly welcome by young and attentive staff. Enjoyed fish & chips, freshly cooked and tasty. Good selection of beers and wine. Honeycombe cheesecake and ice cream dessert to die for….. First visit but highly recommended.

Quiet winter night. No draught bitter, friendly staff.

We placed an order over the phone to collect and we asked to collect at a certain time but I had to wait for over 20mins and I had to tell the women what I had ordered when she should of wrote it all down over the phone and they missed out a food order aswell so for that we won't ever order again and plus we got pork balls and not chicken balls what we ordered

Lovely place, only stopped for a beer and a snack but the service was great. A very historic building with plenty of character too
