Go Sun Chinese Restaurant

Castle Demesne, Ballymena, >100£
24/03/2019: Hadn’t been here for a few years so decided to visit recently. It has limited space. The meal was excellent and service was very efficient. It’s not a spot for a quiet romantic dinner but I would recommend it for price, quality and service. The only downside was the fact that the main floor was very slippy , hopefully this has been sorted.
20/03/2019: This is the longest established Chineese Resturant in Ballymena. The food remains good as is the service. Maybe the interior would benefit from a little enhancement although would make no changes to the quality on offer.. Its nice to speak with a Chineese girl with a local dialect

Water Margin

Central, Coleraine, <20£
29/05/2019: I came back a second time because I felt very comfortable in their attractive interior, but the food both times was "average." Maybe the hot and sour soup is a typical British recipe but it was thicker than I like and the flavor was not "sour" enough. The starter of fried prawns was delicately fried and very good. The second time we came I asked if I could have the same prawns as a main dish (I think I ordered what I thought was the equivalent in the Mains section, but it was not delicately fried, perhaps somewhat breaded and fried. On second time too, I ordered friend onion rings. They were HUGE but the inside was not completely fried, a bit breaded.
07/05/2019: Went there on the Monday, which was the May day holiday, without a booking, and had no trouble getting a table. The 'shopper menu' was varied, and we all picked different starters and main courses. The meals were really tasty and served quickly. The waiter couldn't have been more helpful, and was able to tweak the dish to suit what we wanted. Helpings were huge -none of the party was able to finish their main course. Desserts were lovely. Whole meal was very good value, and we will certainly be back.

Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant

Central, Coleraine
01/05/2019: We eat in here several times every year and are never disappointed with the the food quality and quantity. This restaurant has been established for many years now and the number of local people who eat in here speaks volumes for it.
13/04/2019: Such friendly and pleasant staff. Decent prices and we all enjoyed our meals. We usually get a take outs from here so knew it was pretty decent. Kids loved it too! No complaints from us.

Ho wah

Massereene, Antrim
19/11/2018: 5 mins from station. Friendly staff. Good quality food and very reasonable prices. We had the set menu. There was plenty to eat and a fair choice of dishes
03/11/2018: Staff are nice and friendly to start! We ordered the black bean chicken, chilli salted chicken, fried rice, noodles, chips, chicken balls and curry sauce! Something basic and it didn’t disappoint! So fresh and tasty we had a lovely meal, thank you!

The New Furama

Massereene, Antrim
18/05/2019: The best Chinese restaurant and takeaway in Antrim by far.. They have an extensive menu and dishes can be changed to suit dietary needs.. Never takes to long from order and is always busy.. Not wheelchair friendly and steps up to the restaurant etc are pretty step.. would recommend this place everyday of the week..
25/04/2019: We're not often in Antrim but fancied dinner before a long commute home. We arrived as the restaurant had just opened and were presented with a choice of two menus which were great value for money. I opted for a the main menu while the kids went for the set menu. They'd two courses for £11 and I'd two starters with an additional side. The salted chilli squid was soft and delicious. The kids thoroughly enjoyed their dishes and I particularly enjoyed the twist on their salmon dish. It was still juicy and not overcooked. The staff are pleasant and efficient and my only gripe would be the dated decor. Plastic plants everywhere (which are coated in dust) and paper tablecloths need to be removed to brighten the place because right now it's only half the package. I would return next visit but perhaps for takeaway.

Bambou Chinese Restaurant

Ballyrobert, Newtownabbey
06/06/2019: Took a while until order taken, staff look busy yet resteraunt not very busy. Very polite service, excellent food. Place rather tired and dark, lots of brown but otherwise good.
23/05/2019: A restaurant that wouldn’t catch your eye but food was nice and portions generous. Staff were keen to please but not annoying

Johnny's Chef

Blackhead, Carrickfergus
28/04/2019: This is our local Chinese take away place, and we are never disappointed with the service and quality of food. I would recommend the salt and chilli chicken or the chicken with green pepper and a black pepper sauce. Always tastes fresh, and great value for money.
21/03/2019: I was feeling wick. Just back from a hospital, dark rainy night in January, alone off the train. There’s Johnie’s Chef, a light in the darkness. I go in, and get myself some salted chilli squid. Back home I feast upon this marvellous meal. It was a tonic. Just the ticket. Even the smell of it around the house afterwards was great. Do yourself a favour – skip the cooking, grab yourself a bag of joy from Johnie’s Chef.

Wing Hong

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
29/05/2019: This is the only Chinese Takeaway in Portrush as far as I know. We have eaten from here twice while staying in a local caravan park. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, honey chili chicken and chicken fried rice. All of these dishes have been reasonable although we are used to larger portions from our local Chinese. A decent option when away from home.
17/05/2019: Ate here on a busy town night and this was fairly quiet I now know why, only just ok food but full credit to them for the best made up excuse of a poorly made up Chinese which was left uneaten they nearly had me believe it

The Red Panda

Massereene, Antrim
14/04/2019: Visit regularly for take away and sit in. Friendly staffs most of them are teenagers. Cant complain foods alway roasting hot. But best avoid peak hours. It is very busy during peak hours. Been there once during peak hours so busy, have to waited about 20 to 30 minutes for a main course. Which isnt too bad to be honest. Have waited longer in other places. Very Friendly staff for sure. Cant complain. maybe because im not belong to the snowflake generation.
12/02/2019: There are plenty of dishes to choose from and they are delicious. The service is excellent and quick. Very good value.

New Lotus Flower

Central, Larne
23/11/2018: Found this restaurant by accident whilst looking for another one. It was 9pm on a Friday night and we were starving and very tired after a long journey. Place wasn't very busy but was clean and welcoming. Didn't have to wait too long for our meals and there was certainly plenty of it. My Kung Po chicken was delicious. Curry very good too but we weren't so keen on the Char sui. In all a good experience. Would visit again if in the area.
02/08/2018: Was on a wee trip round the Co Antrim Coast from Newtownabbey and decided to call in here on the way back for dinner.

China Court

Massereene, Antrim
13/11/2017: chicken was drier than Ghandi's flipflop while the noodles dissolved in my mouth. Chips were harder than my boyfriends willy on a Saturday night.
13/10/2017: Found this restaurant quite by accident when visiting Northern Ireland from Canada. We liked it so much we went back a second time. Friendly, helpful staff who go out of their way to provide great service. The food is extremely good. Be sure to try the smoked chicken. We will definitely be going back to eat at China Court next year.

The Four Seas

Killycrot, Carrickfergus
03/03/2018: I am writing to thanks Nixon, Jenny and the rest of the family for the great times we had in the Four Seas over the years. We had many a great night with the likes of Dr John and John Blair. In fact, my parents also visited the restaurant and were looked after by Nixon's parents.
22/11/2017: Another delicious meal. I was so shocked to find out they're closing on 26th November 2017 end of an era!! It is so sad..I've enjoyed many a meal over the last 30 years from this place....I have to now find another takeaway which is a good as the Fours Seasons it won't he easy....I wish them all the best
