Placed an online order which was ready as soon as I arrived. We had the chicken Szechuan style along with Singapore rice and prawn crackers, the food was tasty and enough for wife and I to share with a bit leftover. Always use this place for a Chinese meal and see no reason not to continue doing so.

We ordered a takeaway of salt & Pepper chilli beef and this is what we got which cost £7.50 a portion. As you can see there were no sign of any beef. It tasted like cold scraps... the spare ribs tasted nice but there were still cold..... all in all the meal cost over £30 for basically what could of been described as cold scrapes, very disappointing. I wouldn't even feed my dogs them 🤮

Sorry, ordered the simplest of dishes, Chicken Curry, Egg Fried Rice and a Spring Roll. This is has been our takeaway for many years and is usually pretty good. Covid had an impact, the visible through a window takeaway section had to close and now food is cooked by the sister sit down restaurant next door. The Chicken Curry was awful, the sauce was almost cement like, way to much thickener it was the same shape as the plastic container when tipped out. The Spring Roll tasted weird, almost stale like. Unfortunately we won’t be going there again as it’s spoilt what would have been a nice evening, TV, Curry and a bottle of wine.

Called in for a drink on Saturday lunchtime. Really good atmosphere & very friendly bar staff. We asked how long it would take to walk to the station for our train back to Sheffield & Kath insisted on giving us a lift . We now have a new local in the Hope Valley. Will be returning soon.

So 7 of us booked for my daughter’s birthday as this is her favourite restaurant, it was the Saturday before Xmas eve so fairly busy but still a few tables empty. The first thing we ordered was drinks and my daughter ordered Archers and lemonade, I don’t know what was in the bottle but it certainly wasn’t archers, we called the waitress over and asked her to change it for a completely different drink which she did, we ordered our starters with soup first and then automatically the duck came out then of course the main course, the food was hot, plentiful and fresh the couple of things I would pick up on is - we ordered mussels for two people, they got one mussel each the crab claws are crab sticks deep fried never used to be, so really all good. The one thing I thought was completely out of order was that my son asked for clean cutlery and they said no at first they only give once until we had a bit of a moan and she reluctantly gave him a clean spoon and fork. We received the bill paid and gave a generous tip it wasn’t until I got home and realised they had charged us for the Archers and lemonade (poor) all in all won’t stop us going again

This place been my go to Chinese since I was a child know it like the back of my hand it's always been a good place to eat from but recently it's improved immensely, food is so fresh and authentic it just trumps the other takeaways! The chicken and cashew nut dish here is unreal here I can't have one from anywhere else

Got to say very average meal. Ordered special curry no prawn extra hot egg fried rice. Usually in my experience every Chinese takeaway main comes in a long container with rice in a small one...this was reversed..Food came within 4 minutes...got to say more like a biryani or special fried rice but bland
