The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Walsall West Midlands

Terrible customer service. Paid for food over the phone by card. Said it would be 45 minutes. By 1 hour still nothing. Phoned to chase and said it would be 5 minutes. After a nearly 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting I was told it has been delivered. I informed the girl it hadn’t but I felt she didn’t believe me. I asked for a refund and she was reluctant to give it to me. I explained I hadn’t received my food and it must of gone to a different address. I feel let down as I have been a loyal customer for years. Definitely won’t be using them again. Be careful when ordering and paying by card upfront!!!

Very clean and quick service excellent food

Local takeaway we haven’t used for a long time. Decided to order a very common dish - chicken curry and rice. After waiting 45 mins it was delivered warm, there was plenty of it but the curry had started to congeal and really wasn’t up to scratch. Not sure we would use them again and reading the reviews it sounds like they’re not bothered what people have got to say anyway.

Just received our first order and we are very happy with our experience. The delivery driver was very nice. We placed the order directly on their website and was given an estimated arrival time of 1 hour and 15 minutes which to be honest at first I was not happy about but I figured they must cook the food made to order and I am willing to wait for fresh food. Thankfully though it arrived before the estimated time so we were grateful for that. The food itself was very good. All containers were stuffed and the food definitely tasted fresh. We will happily be return customers. Thank you to all working this evening who helped provide us with our delicious dinner. I included a photo of some of my noodles since we started eating before I thought to take photos lol.

Exerlent take away used for over 20 years

The absolute best takeaway and delivery service around! Hot, fresh and soooooo good. I can honestly say that I've never had better from anywhere in the world, than the amazing service and food we received tonight. Thank you so much for a truly beautiful meal. A***** Update 20/09/2024 - As always the food is consistently hot. Sadly though, some of the portion sizes have now been reduced dramatically. So not only has the price been raised again, but portion sizes have been reduced again, to what is now a mediocre amount. The sweet and sour chicken balls are now just sweet and sour batter (they tasted vile tonight!). There is less chicken in them than a chicken mcnugget! Sadly this means that the food has become very overpriced and under portioned. A meal used to feed 4-6 of us, now we all have around half the amount we used to get. It's truly sad to see, as we have always praised and raved about how good they used to be but we will now be looking elsewhere, for our Friday night delivery... such a shame..🤷‍♂️

Dramatically different to last year .. food so salty as to be inedible, surly unhelpful waiter. Zero atmosphere .. perhaps others have walked away from the place because of the quality of the food? Be a long time before I visit again despite their claiming an Award Winning Chef!

amazing food and vwry efficient service!

This is my third time visiting Penninsular and it'll be my 4th tomorrow. I honestly cannot rate it highly enough. The food is amazing quality. The taste and freshness cannot be mistaken and the staff are very accommodating. It has become a fast favourite for me and my friends and I am returning with my family whom i know will be just as impressed. We have a range of dietary requirements in our group and there is always enough for everyone to indulge and enjoy.

We didn’t get to eat from here, and we won’t be eating from here. We stood at the till, a gentlemen was served before us, we went to provide our order & my partner was asked “You’ve already ordered right?” Not realising we were together. He said no. The response we had back took us both by surprise. “Sorry you all look the same” with a laugh. My partner is black. The gentlemen before us was black. We were completely lost for words. It was a moment of, did they really just say that? We were deeply offended and left.
