Wasn’t hungry so asked for just one poached egg on one slice of toast. Bill came and they charged me full price £8 for it, queried it and they still charged me that. Pretty disgraceful really. Coffee service was fine. Won’t be going again though.

Stayed here 2 nights in our motorhome with a perfect parking place behind the pub, with a trickling waterfall behind. Had some great food & drink - warning the big breakfast is Very large!!! Our favourite Timothy Taylor on offer as well. Feiendly staff & clientele. Ideal spot for visiting the Piece Hall as we were at a gig Fri night - 10 minute walk away.

Disappointing front of house, both men working that evening came across more hostile rather than hospitable! Made to feel like we were an inconvenience and that there was some kind of rush! There were plenty of free tables! Food, however, was great so well done chef and try harder front of house!

This is our second stay at The Dog and Partridge in Flouch 11/10/24 and once again we were not disappointed. It was a last minute booking to get away together with our 2 small dogs, for quick getaway. We arrived just after 5pm and got booked in straight away and shown to our room which again was great. Dinner was gorgeous i had the Venison and my wife had the chicken burger. I'd not eaten venison for a very long time and I wasn't disappointed. We retired to our room with a bottle of wine and had a very plesant and peaceful sleep even the dogs slept well in their own bed. We had breakfast here which was included with our booking and yet again quite a choice to have. My wife had an omelette and for me the Full Yorkshire breakfast. Thank you to all the staff for making us very welcome. We will be back again.

We went for lunch I ordered an egg mayonnaise baguette which I had on a previous visit & it was lovely, but when it came this time it was a baguette full of mayo & a small smattering of egg I tasted it but it was nearly all mayo !! it made me feel nauseous so I told a staff member I couldn't eat it & why she was polite & went to fetch the manager, the manager came eventually she at first said I had made my choice I said yes but this was not of the same standard as I had experienced before she eventually agreed to offer me another choice of baguette the only one left I could eat was a ham cheese & pickle when this came there was no butter on bread no pickle & a small amount of grated cheese the "ham" was thick cut lumps of white fat with a small bit of meat attached & I mean SMALL it was revolting !! very disappointed & expensive for what u got certainly wouldn't recommend!! a very poor excuse for a lunch !!

We visited this chippy twice on our four nights stay about ten miles from Settle. We both had the Small fish and chips special what i thought was excellent value. We both had as an extra a tub of fruity curry sauce which was lovely . So much so we had the same order for our second visit. The young lady who served me was really pleasant and friendly. She also served me again the second time and was really nice asking how my holiday had been etc. If i’m ever up this way again i will definitely pay a visit.

We cannot believe this pub is up for sale and could be gone by the end of the week. As regular home and away supporters of Mansfield Town Football club we have been to many places up and down the country but always make it a good away day by having some lunch and pre match beers in a local spoons. The reason for this is simple. Pubs nearer the ground are rowdy, 10 deep and sell overpriced weak beer in plastic pots. The Spoons Corporation of which we are frequent fliers, offer a more sensible and sedate option. In proper glasses. Location is next to a market, shops and bus station in the town centre with a small car park some 50 yards way (avoiding the bus lane!). First impressions? Busy with a variety of punters and the odd character but hey, its a spoons after all. Clean and tidy, we've been to better but certainly also been to some far worse. We got the feeling it was business as usual and despite no Pepsi been available for our teetotaller driver, it didn't appear to be in the final thoes of an imminent run down. Unusually, the toilets were downstairs and certainly for the gents - I can't speak for the ladies obviously, they could have been the subject of a recent revamp. We ordered food and that came hot and well presented with one of the bar staff kindly bringing over our drinks even though we weren't on the dreaded app. From here it was a steady 15 minute drive down to Bradford FC. Couldn't fault it. A message to the new owners. It isn't broke. Don't try to fix it . If, unlikely as it may seem, we're in the same league next year or even passing through, then we'd have no hesitation in coming back here regardless. Oh, and I know you are keen to hear how the footy went. Well, the Stags thrashed the Bantams 5-1 and all 3 points went back down the M1. Couldn't stop smiling, thanks lads! An all round grand day out Gromit. Tim, IMO you've made a ghastly mistake in wanting to get rid of this one......

Absolutely fantastic, good home cooked food made with fresh quality ingredients! Emma and her team are so friendly, attentive and polite. Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived to when we left. The food was really delicious, great value for money! We had steak & ale pie with mash & peas, cottage pie with mash and veg, 2 deserts and a bottle of wine £66. We will definitely be returning 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
