The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Helpful staff, pleasant surroundings but food very poor. In particular the Risotto with wild mushrooms and spinach. It was tasteless and no attempt made to present it well or garnish it. Just a heap of soggy rice. Embarrassing as friend was paying. Pie and chips reasonable. Lion of pork very tough stuffing. Talked up big but better food in market cafe at half the price

Fuimos aquí para nuestro almuerzo del domingo, aunque fue agradable me sentí, por lo que era, un almuerzo del domingo pub, la comida era bastante cara, más de £ 15 para 2 entrantes y £ 34 para 2 platos principales, además del costo lo que me pareció decepcionante fue la cantidad de verduras que nos dieron para 2 , la pareja de ancianos detrás de nosotros pidió una comida completa y una pequeña comida y el plato que su verdura salió era casi el doble del tamaño de la nuestra con un montón de verdura en ella, nuestro plato era tan pequeño que incluso le pregunté a la niña si estaba destinado a ser para 2 , a lo que ella dijo que era, si te fijas bien en la imagen con la veras que nos dieron solo 1 pedazo de chirivía, supongo que esperaban que lo cortáramos por la mitad y compartir, de todos modos no iba a publicar esto pero cuando pagas más de £ 52 por 2 entrantes, 2 asados del domingo y 1 coca de vidrio esperas algo mejor.

Sorprendente, visitamos como todo un grupo familiar, el hombre del bar (Ed Sheeran knock off) identificó a los miembros más jóvenes del grupo: ningún problema en absoluto ( 26 , 22 y 18 ) , pero luego asumió que otro miembro del grupo (también 18 pero no identificado) estaba bebiendo una bebida alcohólica. Cuando nos interrogaron dijimos que no, que era jugo, no había problema, pero él no la identificó de todos modos. Nos fuimos para ir a un restaurante a comer, después de esto fuimos a otro pub, pero nos negaron la entrada ya que la imitación de Ed Sheeran había compartido una imagen de CCTV de nosotros con todos los pubs en Whitby y les informó que no nos sirvieran porque estábamos dando a nuestros hijos alcohol (de 11, 13 y 15 años, así que claramente no). Estábamos increíblemente frustrados ya que estábamos en una celebración familiar y esto había arruinado toda nuestra tarde. No estamos contentos y ciertamente no volveremos, mucha costumbre perdida ese día debido al mal servicio. Pensamos que Whitby sería ideal para la familia, pero estamos muy decepcionados.

Sadly the coffee in the main restaurant is very weak and just not the same drink that’s available in the coffee shop, but it’s the same price! It’s half the strength and very disappointing. Please please address the shot settings on your machine in the main restaurant or reduce your price for a sub standard coffee?

A bit overpriced, the food was ok but nothing special. The chef had a very unusual skill of being able to both under and over cook the same egg - burnt on the bottom whilst still snotty on the top! pub could do with a deep clean. Staff a little bit sullen.

We have used The Richard Oastler regularly for a long time, what has happened to their food ? we called in last week for lunch and ordered two all day brunch, they were both definitely not up to scratch, the chips were cold, the egg was very hard and the bacon was hard and dry. This Wetherspoons is convenient for us so we thought we would give them another chance and we called in today for lunch, again not good, steak and kidney pudding not a pudding, had short crust pastry not suet pastry, hardly any meat, chips were undercooked, egg on the ham very hard and I dont think freshly cooked, and again chips hard and under cooked. We could have complained and I think they would have replaced our meals but we didn't have time to wait, having said that though meals should not been served when they were not cooked properly, somebody is not taking care and making sure that the food leaves the kitchen cooked as well as possible. Very disappointed !!

We were served quickly at the bar and the server there was friendly however when we ate in the restaraunt, we found the food was greasy and the place seemed understaffed. It was reasonable priced but I probably wouldn't go again or recommend it to my family and friends.

Llegué a la estación de Leeds hambriento y esperando mi mi check in y yo y mi pareja decidimos tomar un poco de desayuno. Sin embargo no había asientos, así que tuvimos que colgar fuego durante un tiempo hasta que conseguimos una mesa. Nos sentamos y pedimos nuestra comida al mismo tiempo que tomó 15 minutos para una bebida incluso golpear la mesa que se fusionaba con una barra vacía. Y 25 minutos más para nuestra comida y para que no esté a su nivel habitual. Encontré que era grosero en necesidad de un poco de tlc y el personal duro trabajo para tratar. Conseguí un café rellenable. lo que me llevó 15 minutos así que revivir como todas las máquinas estaban vacías sin leche y todo estaba sucio, condimentos de azúcar, leche derramada, cómo poner. El personal no estaba en una situación difícil o de todos modos eficiente y es un buen trabajo que la comida estaba tomando tanto tiempo como lo hizo o la mía habría sido aún más coca de lo que ya era cuando se me presentó. No hay salsas como todas en las mesas lo que estaba esperando para ser limpiado. Lo que pensé era una hora libre antes de que pudiera registrarme en mi hotel llegué tarde. Nunca he tenido una experiencia de cucharas como esta.

Visited for lunch after a lo g walk near Osmotherley. Brand new and very nice beer garden in the back, away for the road no noise,lots of tables and a couple of booths, sunny and shady spots available. Cracking food, served promptly, good selection of drinks and friendly staff. Should be first choice when going to Osmotherley.

Visited again today. Fantastic to see all the new things for summer. Great furniture, gifts, food etc. I'm really happy to see the new baby clothes. The Peter Rabbit collection is so sweet. Always a joy to visit. Very clean and tidy. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Just enjoyed a big family meal here for Sunday lunch and the food was excellent, the portions were great and the price was reasonable. The staff were all polite and were so helpful and accommodating. Will happily go back multiple times in the future. Thank you for a fabulous meal.

What can i say? To be perfectly honest, i wasnt expecting this place to be very good. BUT boy was i wrong. The food here is better than amazing. It simply melts in your mouth & is full of fantastic flavours. I had the fillet steak with chunky chips, i have eaten all over the country & europe & never have i had food like this. The steak was so easy to cut & cooked to perfection, the chips were out of this world. Crispy on the outside & soft on the inside with such flavour. Exceptionally good prices too. I will definately return for more food. Thanks to all at the anvil.

Sigue como siempre. Mi esposa tenía carne Yorkshire Pudding Wrap con verduras, dijo que era muy agradable. Comí pollo frito del sur con patatas fritas, queso macarrones, cebolla, aros, ensalada y salchicha americana. Fue diferente a la última vez que lo tuve, pero lo disfruté más. En el acto. Siempre recomiendo este lugar. Me encanta💯

Fiesta familiar de regreso a Filey desde lo profundo. Comimos en y sin duda hizo el trabajo. Era un bonito 4 estrellas. Tuvimos 3 x pescado regular & patatas fritas, 1 x pescado infantil & patatas fritas, además de bebidas y salsa / guisantes húmedos. Batter era agradable y crujiente. Llegar a poco más de £ 60. ¡Lo siento, no hay fotos, pero todos ustedes saben cómo es fish & chips! Platos limpios por todos lados.

Visitamos Wendy’s antes de ver Los Miserables en el Sheffield Arena y no nos decepcionaron. Quería pedir algo que no estaba en la pantalla y el caballero del mostrador hizo nuestro pedido muy rápido y fue amable, educado y servicial. Luego trajo nuestra comida a la mesa en lugar de tener que recogerla. Otro señor, que asumimos que era el gerente, vino a preguntarnos si nuestra comida estaba bien y definitivamente lo estaba. La hamburguesa estaba muy sabrosa y tanto eso como las patatas fritas estaban calientes. Normalmente no comemos en restaurantes de comida rápida, pero solo queríamos un poco de comida caliente en una noche fría y recomendaría este restaurante Wendy’s.
